Visited Wash N Roll on Oakland Ave in JC, TN on Jan 18, 2025. Explained to the attendant that all I wanted was a simple car wash. Had to endure three sales pitches anyway then was asked whether I wanted to tip the person who scrubs the front of the car before going into the wash. Do you no longer pay your employees a fair wage? Why should I have to tip anyone? And, assuming I agree to tip anyone, why would I tip them before the work is done? I will not be back.

The wash was a decent wash nothing crazy enough for me to go crazy bout it. I had a free month membership with the ultimate platinum deal or whatever. They told me it wouldn’t charge another month so I didn’t sweat it. Then I see I was charged $36 for another month after being told it was a one time free thing and I wouldn’t be charged. The place is decent it’s like a 7/10 car wash but the company is cheap and wouldn’t give me a refund. Really didn’t wanna pay for a membership just wanted free car washes for a month.

BEWARE!!! THIS place charged my out of state mother for a subscription. Not to go into details but beware when they want to give you a free one. He told her to let him do it. She would have been fine if she would have paid herself for single wash. However he was there greeting cars and . She had to call corporate and the still wouldn't reverse the charge of 26.95. I told her she should of used ULTIMATE SHINE as we've used them for years and never been deceived. WORKERS ARE VERY DECEPTIVE AND ARE DESPERATE TO GET CARS SIGNED UP. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING AS THEY GET PAID FOR SIGNING UP..DON'T MESS WITH MY MOM AND THE ELDERLY. SHAME ON YOUR BUSINESS PRACTICE. They can say all they want but you're reviews speak for themselves. Paid $20 for a one-time wash, that took about 1 minute and left the car about 75% clean. They tried to sell me on a membership, and I’m glad I didn’t get it.

Well, I never thought I’d feel the need to review a car wash but here we are. Needed to wash our company van for an event tomorrow. Pulled up to a self service machine but a real person met me. I asked for a basic wash. She said “ for the same price I can give you month of washes”. I said, “no thanks I’m good”. She said “oh that’s fine we don’t mind” and grabbed a clipboard. I knew she was about to start filling out something (a monthly subscription to car wash service) and again said “no, I’m sorry if you didn’t understand I just want a basic wash”. She replied back “aren’t you going to wash it again this month??” I responded back that this was a work van and there was a fair chance it wouldn’t be driven much in a month. She then rang up my wash and asked if I wanted to leave a tip!!! I said “no”, at which point what had been a pushy attitude became a rude one. I’m not tipping someone who is simply trying to push me into something I don’t want. I tip for GOOD service, not bad service. Again, I never thought I’d have to give a one star review to a car wash for high pressure sales techniques. Could have been a 2 star review but the wash on the van wasn’t very good either…..I live close to Tommy’s which is always fantastic and usually offers me a subscription as well and is extremely polite when I say no…they’ve never asked for a tip either and the van is actually clean when I leave there. Cost for a basic wash is $10 at Tommy’s and $12 at Wash and Roll. I’d also recommend TruShine in Boones Creek, which we use sometimes as well. Less than $10. Ultimate Shine nearby is ok as well. I’d literally squirt dishwashing detergent on our van in the rain before I went back to Wash and Roll…:look at the other reviews, everyone hates them. How they got a good review is beyond me, maybe the vacuums are exceptional. I didn’t try them; frankly I couldn’t leave quickly enough.

I took my truck to Wash-N-Roll (formerly Southern Classic) on 9/14/2021 to have it detailed because I was thinking about selling my truck. Afterwards, I parked my truck in my garage and drove my secondary vehicle to and from work. I noticed scratches on the hood of my truck when I went into my garage to do laundry the following Sunday. I took my truck to Wash-N-Roll to file a claim for the damages. They had me take it to an auto detailer in Johnson City. He said that he could not buff the scratches out and that I'd have to take it to a bodyshop. Upon taking it to the bodyshop, more scratches were discovered all over my truck. There was also a pice of one of the rollers from the automatic carwash that was pressed so hard up against my truck, it got stuck in between a plastic trim piece and the sheet metal. Unlike most Americans, I work for a living. That's why it took me almost a week to take my truck to them which hadn't been driven. In their claim denial they called me a liar based on the opinion of this auto detailer that is supposedly reputable. Take your vehicle there at your own risk.

Normally visit once a week if I can and it’s never been an issue till today. As I was having issues with their screen at entry, I noticed an attendant just watching me. I used their help button which suggests you blow your horn. As I was pondering this, a car on my right did just that. The attendant went back inside rather than help customers. I’m not no more but in today’s times, it’s quick way to go out of business by ignoring those that are trying to support it. Good luck with that model.

Horrible car wash. First, they spend WAY TOO MUCH time trying to sell a wash plan. I should have left then! Second, the wash was horrible. My car wasn't clean AT ALL. I asked a couple of other patrons that were there at the same time and they agreed as well. Lastly, the towels and glass spray are only in 1 spot so that is very inconvenient. SAVE YOUR MONEY! There is 1 that is 200% better right down the street.

I'm not sure what these other folks are going on about but the attendants at this place are wonderful. If you can't manage a transaction at a car wash without screwing it up and blaming the car wash then you should probably not conduct transactions anywhere without someone double checking EVERYTHING you do. That said these guys ROCK! They've always been highly attendant to anything I or any other member of my family needs. I have fully intentional memberships on every car from my home. I'll be staying with them and singing their praises for as far as I can see!
