I've bought thousands of dollars worth of building supplies from Lowe's in Johnson City in the last few years. Thankful that they give a Military discount to Veterans.

We do not shop at this location often because there are three other Lowe’s stores closer to our house. But, we were in Johnson City and needed to pick up some things to finish off a couple remodel jobs were are doing on our home. The store was busy. But we were able to get help locating the correct posts for our porch railing and stairs. This store has a larger variety of wooden stair runners, balusters and bannisters.

I like to go to Lowe's because my husband gets excited. (Lol) They have cool stuff. They have cute plants and cute Christmas decorations, etc. The store is conveniently located on the main road next to the highway.

Customer service when checking out is exceptional. Lowe’s does need more employees throughout the store to help customers and stocking the shelves better. I believe in quality and customer service. I will say that this Lowe’s is better than the Home Depot across the street.

This review is for Lowe’s Johnson City Delivery service. The delivery driver was extremely rude, unprofessional, and down right disrespectful to my husband upon the delivery of the range. He greeted my husband at the door and when he was welcomed in he asked me immediately what was wrong with my old oven? I thought that was an odd question because I paid for a haul away regardless of condition. He then shows me on his phone he has no data showing I paid for a haul away. I then pick up my receipt and show him I paid for it. After the removal of the old unit and he is putting the new range in. The new range is sticking out as if it’s not placed flush on the back wall. My husband explains that he shouldn’t leave the range in this position. So the delivery driver barks at him saying well look at it I can’t do anything about it. If you have a problem with it I can take it back now and cancel this whole visit. He then continues to argue with my husband in our home. I felt fearful and threatened as I’m in between 2 grown men. I couldn’t imagine experiencing this type of situation after paying so much money for our appliances. We brought a washer, dryer, and range to be delivered. The argument continued as the delivery driver forcefully pushed our range back into the kitchen spot. Our home just got painted as we moved in and now the paint is SCRATCHED OFF! He then proceeded to leave after asking my husband “Was he good”? Which insinuated he was looking to fight him. This type of unprofessional is not okay. We just purchased a home and use Lowe’s now more than any other home store. I can’t imagine using this company again. So sad because this was our go to! Now we will be at Home Depot and/or Best Buy for a fridge.

I want to recognize the exceptional experience I had with Ron, a talented cashier in the garden department. He was wonderful, always smiling, and made me feel at ease. Great job, Ron! Thank you!

Best Lowe's in the region. Every employee greeted us and offered assistance. Very nicely merchandised without a lot of clutter in the aisles.

Yeah I don’t need your employee hovering over my shoulder breathing on me during self-checkout acting “helpful” when really we all know she’s making sure I’m not stealing.

The lack is urgency at this store is unreal. Everyone acts like they to busy to help or it’s an inconvenience. Pro desk doesn’t acknowledge anyone unless you are a big builder. It’s like nails on a chalkboard every time I walk through the doors. I waited 30 minutes to get some panel pulled today. This store is the main reason I shop at Home Depot. I’ll come here only for necessity.

If you have a pro account I would recommend going to either Jonesborough or Kingsport stores. I had a lot of issues with my first pro employee at Lowe’s when I first started my business. It was such a bad experience and decided to start buying from a different Lowe’s. I have spent six figures at Lowe’s this year and had to go back there to the Johnson city store this week twice. Both times the guy at the pro desk were not helpful and were rude. Try to give your money to a different Lowes That actually cares.

This is k a nice store. Manager was extremely help and nice even though he couldn’t get me what I wanted. I was looking for a propane line and they had sold everything. People were freaking out about the upcoming snow storm and cleaned the shelves off.

Very poor customer service from management. My husband went to the customer service desk to ask if they would take more money off a Christmas display (it was clearly broken but fixable in one spot and it’s been lit up for months, why not?). The employee there was nice and said “I’m going to say no but I’ll get a manager to ask”. When said manager came up there, she completely ignored my husband to yell at an employee so it was extremely awkward. Then didn’t give my husband a chance to speak, immediately snd rudely said “no”. And now that same Christmas item went on sale more today for the price we asked for….. Very disappointed. Also to add I believe the manager’s name started with a “m”, she didn’t introduce herself so I’m unsure.

I dont like leaving bad reviews but I felt maybe someone in management would see this and make needed changes. I know my business only does about 190k in sales woth you each year but that doesnt mean your pro services staff should treat me less than. I know you all hit your numbers due to your large scale contractors who buy so much but for once it would be nice to come in and be traeyed with respect by your pro staff. I literally drive 30 min to 45 min away just so I don't need to deal with your guys and thier condescending tones every day.

My experience with Lowe’s has been nothing short of a disaster from start to finish. Last Wednesday, we purchased a refrigerator and an all-in-one washer/dryer. The salesperson assured us we could pick them up the same day, but since we didn’t have our truck, we scheduled pickup for Friday. He told us that was perfectly fine. When we showed up Friday, Lowe’s couldn’t find our order, couldn’t find any record of the washer, and acted like we hadn’t purchased anything at all despite me having the receipt. They eventually found the fridge, but then told us the washer wasn’t actually in stock and wouldn’t be available for another week. We had already sold our old set expecting to pick up the new one, so we were left without a washer and dryer because of misinformation we were given at the time of purchase. The appliance sales manager did offer free delivery and a credit on our account, which we appreciated, but the problems didn’t end there. When delivery week finally arrived, Lowe’s once again “had no idea” we were scheduled for delivery and insisted we were supposed to pick it up. Only after contacting the same manager did they agree that delivery was indeed supposed to be free. I explained that we wouldn’t be home Wednesday morning and asked if we could get an afternoon delivery or a different day since the item was already in stock. I was told that changing the time would void the free delivery they themselves offered to compensate for THEIR mistake. The manager said they would at least call an hour ahead so we could arrange to be home. They did not call an hour ahead. They called when they were already IN OUR DRIVEWAY. Not only that, but the delivery team did not install the unit at all. Lowe’s website clearly states that installation includes leveling the washer, hooking it to the water supply, checking for leaks, inspecting the unit, and showing the customer how to use it. None of that was done. To make matters worse, when I called customer service to clarify installation details, the woman who answered didn’t even greet me professionally. She said “yeah what do you want,” cut me off repeatedly, then hung up on me. That was the tone of every single phone call I’ve made: dismissive, rude, and completely unhelpful. Every attempt to get answers was met with “we’ll call you in a week,” which is unacceptable at this point. And to top it off, the refrigerator we purchased was dented before it even left the store — another issue we now have to deal with separately. This entire experience has been beyond frustrating and absolutely unprofessional. We have spent far too much time, money, and energy trying to get basic service Lowe’s claims to provide. I will be reaching out directly to corporate leadership, because this location’s customer service has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any company. I would give zero stars if I could.

JONESBOROUGH TN has the most polite and courteous people. We went yesterday to get a new chest freezer as ours is dying. DAVE an associate came over as we were looking and assisted us. We needed a special size. Dave went and got the freezer. Problem was we weren’t sure it would fit in the SUV and we had to have it asap. DAVE took and opened the carton yes we were going to purchase the freezer and measure the unit itself. That done he rolled it up to register and helped my husband put it in the vehicle. All with a smile. Dave is not the exception in the store but the norm. The staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful. Hat’s off to DAVE and all the staff at JONESBOROUGH TN Lowe’s!

Do not trust Lowe's! I purchased a twig Christmas tree from Lowe's on Dec. 20 and it was delivered on Dec. 24. I had ordered a second tree to see which I liked better and decided to return one since I checked the return policy and saw nothing about it being a final sale in fact, it wasn't even on sale AT ALL and it is STILL on the site at the same price! I took it to the store a couple of days ago only to be told that because it was holiday, it would have had to have been returned by Dec. 25. They are closed so, that means I would have had to return it Dec. 24 the same day it was delivered. There was no notice on the listing at all about this or I would not have bought it at $200. On top of this, there were two other situations where they gave my curbside order to some else, gave me the WRONG item from what I ordered and the refused to exchange or return because the online order item number and the item number didn't, obviously it doesn't match, the gave me the wrong item!!! So be careful where you spend your money. I just finished a 20k remodel on a rental property and that money went to Home Depot because I can't trust Lowe's anymore. Update- Lowe's responded by asking me to call them, as you can see below, leaving the impression of providing some help. When I called, the rep offered no help so here is my order number #300902354254337769.

Today I’m reminded why I choose Orange over Blue. Right now on 12/11/25 in the Johnson City Lowe’s they have a selection of Carhartt graphic hoodies with multiple signs advertising 40% off. The hoodies they have are not indeed 40% off or so they say. The sign lists part numbers that are applied. None of which they have according to them. But nestled between those signs are over 100 hoodies that ring up full price. 3 associates assisted me and not a single one would honor the advertised scenario or would agree to remove the signage to keep further customers from falling in the trap I did. Abysmal customer service at its finest. The photo clearly show the hoodies, the two signs and the confusion that ensues. Thanks for nothing.

SHAME ON YOU, LOWE'S! We are a long-time loyal Lowes's family and have used them extensively for our household and our businesses. That said, I will NEVER order anything from Lowe's again. I purchased a refrigerator which was delivered by two men who could not speak even basic English and were in a tremendous hurry. Through my limited Spanish and the driver's translator app, we explained to them that we were keeping our old refrigerator and moving it to another room. They then proceeded to cut the wires and tubing going into the door of the refrigerator and the cord. I now have a refrigerator I cannot use and am back where I started, but $3k less money in my pocket and a broken useless refrigerator... I have one working refrigerator overflowing. After several people at Lowe's telling me that the drivers are a third party and that the issue is not Lowes' problem, I eventually was connected with someone who filed a damage claim. We eventually received the claim instructions, requiring us to get 2-3 appliance repair quotes on letterhead, etc etc etc. After an exhaustive search of contractors in our area, we found that NONE OF THEM will give a quote over the phone and ALL require service fees ($89 to $150 each) to come out and assess the issue. We then communicated this to the RXO Insurance rep, who told us the drivers didn't recall the incident and that we would need quotes Now, I not only have an inoperable refrigerator, but no way to move it from my home. I am FURIOUS and disappointed. My family and our businesses have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at Lowe's over the years only to be completely and utterly disrespected and dismissed. Shame on you, Lowes.

Store was clean and well-stocked. I couldn't find what I was looking for, and asked 3 different employees where to find it. I was sent clear across the store 3 times to the wrong aisles. As I passed one of the employees (red hair and lots of tattoos, didn't see a name tag) and told him it wasnt in the aisle he sent me to, he looked me in the eye, laughed, and kept walking. That GREAT customer service during the holiday shopping season....
