Any DIYer can appreciate a post that had a self service auto care shop. Rates are reasonable, they lost a lot of excellent people over the years due to several management changes. Overall a good place to change oil and minor repairs. They have a motorcycle lift, took over a year for the part to come in, but it is usable now.

I have been going to this car care center for over 30 years and have seen all the quality personnel come and go and have gotten to know a few of them quite well but there is an older gentlemen there now who needs to take a class in customer care and service. Talks to people as though they are children and it is very offensive. Diffenitly needs to take a people person class. I still get what I need done but this person makes it difficult to use the facility. The shop itself is great with mostly anything you need to perform small to large projects. The other staff members are also very helpful but might be limited by this person from doing more. Not sure what this persons problem is but he needs to look at the way he talks to people before someone puts him in check. Again the facility itself is fine. Just this one person. I do not recall his name but he has to be the oldest staff member there during check in.

I use the self serve side. Lots of tools, lifts, jacks and equipment. Fair pricing too. Workers are nice

No training is currently being offered to even allow you to use their non functioning lifts. All they can offer are jacks and jack stands if you have the training. Which again they aren’t offering. Good luck working on your car here. Worst skills self-service center I have seen on any base. If you aren’t already established there don’t waste your time even driving over.

Decent customer service; Theresa is very professional and honest. Only downside is they don’t service Euro or Japanese cars due to recent policy changes. Go to Autobahn or DVS in Augusta if you own a VW/Audi/Benz.

Good service. You can actually get something done or do it yourself if you are a decent mechanic. If not, they will help you along the way. Went in to get a little stuff done to my exhaust. Came in and left no problems. The prices will beat out just about any place off post. They will even let you stand in while they do the job and teach you how to do it for the next time. Good people. No issues from me.

Aside from the technicians (because they're great), so just from a management standpoint this is THE WORST MANAGED AUTO SKILLS CENTER I HAVE EVER SEEN ON ANY BASE!! I took my car in earlier this week and the Manager came at me with a sideways tone of voice. I just wanted my car looked at to see what was wrong, he said it would be AT LEAST a week. He said they were backed up with a full bay of cars from a week and a half ago. ALSO....they STILL haven't got OUR side of the building with OUR repair bays repaired almost 3 YEARS LATER!!!

This is by far the work auto skills shop I've encountered. I've used these centers at Sill, Carson and Stewart. This one is the worst I've ever seen. Not well kept, no lifts work so you can't use them. It completely defeats the point of this place. I feel sorry for the people that live on post because they can't work on their cars in the driveway or the garage due to housing rules and this was their go-to. Now this place doesn't even have lifts. All of them are uncertified and need to be replaced. What a joke.

TLDR: The Self-Service car lift does not work. Called in earlier today, front desk was nice, however, the Self-Service car lift is inoperable. Upon reading older reviews, it seems as though this has been an issue for at least 3 months, maybe more. I hope that it gets fixed soon.

Very unreliable, attempted to order some oil two different times, when arrived to pick up, they did not even order it. The tall Amazon lady Mrs. Princess gives everyone the stank face when you come. Definitely not a professional business. Will be traveling off base for any automotive needs and I suggest you do as well.

Most car care tools are available for self-service use. I haven’t used the normal garage operation, only the self-serve. The bays are clean and they offer a convenient general service tool box

Overall, a pretty good first time experience. Staff was courteous throughout the day but when closing time came, they were hurrying us out of there. I don't blame them for that though. I want to go home when my day is over... Replaced the rear main seal on my 1986 Chevy CUCV. I spent about 8 hours at this place and the facility was very accommodating. I will definitely use the Gordon Car Care center again.

They have Only 55 days left on base!!! Do not go here unless you want your car coming out worse than it actually was when it went in. Untrained professionals. They sell you a hope and a dream then 2000 dollars later you still have the problem and guess what there's more !!! See attached photos.

Under the former management, this place was awesome! It went downhill immediately after the new regime took over last year. I've had several vehicles worked on there over the course of about 5 years and never had a problem until the new clown in town took over. I won't be back until the current managers are replaced.

Great place to do DYI auto repair. Only $7 per hour to use this place. It has a hydraulic lift system like the ones you see at the auto repair center. You get 6-7 key rings and you can rent one tool or tool set per key ring. Very nice to do engine oil change, brake change or other simple repairs.

This place in theory is absolutely amazing, however reality tells a much different story. Oz, the older gentleman who works here, is absolutely one of the most unprofessional and rude people I've run into. I've been charged ahead of getting access to the bay, hes frequently asleep in there, he's had incorrect times for me in terms of a start time to the degree sometimes of 6 hours (extra $72). Be very careful about making sure absolutely everything is in the toolbox they give, I was charged $15 for a SINGULAR wrench that I didnt use because I didnt pay attention. MWR runs this building and I had high expectations with their level of standards, the employees however ruin this place

This is by far the most frustrating center to work with as far as bases go. It’s no wonder the place is empty half the time when just getting assistance is impossible. When you consider any sports car or euro car “exotic” you need to reevaluate whether you enjoy operating as a business or not. Wouldn’t even help put tires on a 2000s Benz bc “the rim was too expensive”. The tires were worth more than the car…
