I would rate Pet Smart in Columbia, Mo. a double negative if I could. Second time i used them but new groomer. This Pet Smart is 1 hour away from where i live. I brought my Great Pyrenees there for a bath and brush. He needed a bath very badly. My 1 year old male has very dense hair and has been blowing his coat for about 2-3 months. It is never ending and everyday I spend time getting globs of hair off of him. I was sure his coat was almost through his shedding. He went to his appointment and they called me back. They convinced me that he was severely matted and would not do anything for him unless I would let them shave him. I very reluctantly agreed after I checked other groomers for openings, no openings. I told them they couldn't go so short that would draw blood. I went to pick my beautiful baby up and they gave him a cut like a poodle!!! I didn't realize when there but they cut him in 2 places. Back of his ear and near the top of his hip. He has no irritation on his skin anywhere. I believe he had some compacted hair but was definitely NOT matted! I'm sick and furious about this. My baby is agitated because he has no hair and he keeps licking his cut on his hip. That being said...I was charged for a bath and full cut, a furminator and deshedding, and a dematting fee. $153 was my total bill. I'm just sick!!! My baby is sick about this while he tends to his wounds! Never again will I use this Pet Smart! I feel they were just too lazy to do the brushing when they saw how much hair he has. Then charged me for the deshedding and dematting. It took them 2 1/2 hours when they first told me it would take 4 hours. I feel they lied to me about the matting and charged me for services that weren't done. Seriously?!? A deshedding furminator fee? A matting fee? I questioned those fees and the groomer said he did these things. He said he used the furminator before he shaved him. Really? I thought my baby was matted over his entire body! How, might I ask could you do that and why, might I ask you would do that when you were shaving him down??? These people are so very rude to top all of this WRONG!

I love this store. The staff is always friendly and supportive of service animals. I take my dog in to have her nails, ears, and teeth cleaned. They give her a wonderful bath and always ask me if I have concerns or want them to look at anything. Cora is always excited to go to PetSmart, and I am thankful for the amazing staff.

My husband and I came here to get more food for our bettas. We ended up buying two bettas because of their awful conditions, hopefully we can revive them. Also found a dead one in the cup and gave it to the manager and recommended one be euthanized, which they did, because of its terrible swim bladder and fin rot. Most of the bettas have awful fin rot and there were two or three more, besides the one they euthanized, that had swim bladder. Also most of their cups were filled with poop and old food. Absolutely awful conditions for these fish. And the manager did not seem concerned. He did call for someone to come care for the bettas, but other than that did not seem to care much. Hate to give them our money, but couldn’t walk away from these poor fish. I added a couple photos of the fin rot and stress, but didn’t think to get a picture of the dead one or the one with terrible swim bladder and fin rot before they took it back.

Great place to shop with your canine pal. Some supply chain problems but many choices unlike the grocery store. Love the pup tent for pups. Convenient parking and curbside service.

Absolutly worst experience of grooming in 20+ years as dog owner!! We had to go back request money back for the crappy grooming ( ears all messed up way too close by his eyes )and pain inflicted by the clippers on his underside. This Groomer has not called or emailed with an apology even when told Manager that I expected one. she manager quickly gave me the $82.00 refund but not for $10.00 tip. The Gal Amber a so called Groomer needs to be retrained / certified!!! she does not need to be touching clipper at best can be Bath person...did not even have the guts to come out with my Dog as is procedure to apologize and give an explanation ... costly day With vet, additional medication and +$10 tip not deserved....very Upset and will Never take GG to this place or recomend. Be ware and inspect your dog before departing or just Avoid them!

The jefferson city store has alot to offer, but they are very pricy. If i cant wait to order supplies and need to buy from the store, i ALWAYS take my phone in and compare prices to the petsmart website. It seems like most of the items are cheaper online, but the store will price match there websites.

I’m very confused how this store is ethically allowed to have cats for adoption, as none of the 6 cats have beds and or even a blanket to lay on in the wooden cages they’re stuck in.

Like most all PetsMart(s) around the state( country) it's clean, fully stocked & pet friendly. This one has particularly friendly & helpful employees. My photos are of some adorable rescue kittens they had in.

They really need to take care of there betta fish.. I had to take two up front one was dead and the other had really bad fin rot to the point he barely had a tail left…. There are multiple that have swim bladder issues and fin rot. most of the cups are absolutely disgusting. I bought two one has swim bladder issues and the other has fin rot. I probably just wasted $40 for 2 sick bettas but I’m going to try and rehab them hopefully They really need to do something

I stopped in while in the area, for some cat grass and all their grass was pretty much dead. For some reason no one actually takes care of the live plants at any of the PetSmart's I've shopped at and they rarely have the cat food my cats need, although they used to a couple of years ago; I've resigned to purchasing my feline products elsewhere. The stores seem to be dedicated to dogs with maybe 2 measly aisles dedicated to cats. I was told by a longterm PetSmart employee that they only stock what sells, which makes zero sense, because if it's out of stock... it obviously sells, and if it's out of stock, we obviously can't purchase it.

Had to ask an associate 2 times where products were. He directed me right to them. We had a conversation about a cat toy that is raging on FB, but they don't carry it. Spoke to him about the scams out there with ordering online from these unknown or non American companies sending products, if you got them at all, and how they are adding tariffs to them at delivery in addition to the already paid price. I will never order online again.

Has a great selection, but staff can get a little odd. I wanted to return something and not give out my phone number, the staff member puffed out his chest and stared me down and said then we won’t be giving you a return. It was creepy and weird, you should be able to return without giving a phone number

They have a pretty good selection of dog toys and treats. Pretty decent prices when on sale. Didn't get a chance to see the cat toys and treats on this visit, but I will keep my eyes open next visit.

ok products, don't like how they keep their animals in such small unnatural gross cages or cups. some of the employees are super nice, and some definitely are not, and don't say a word. you can tell most employees there don't care about the animals or customers.

First and foremost, Petsmart has went downhill in my opinion. I called the Sedalia, Missouri location first as it's closer to us. Was told they could give Sadie a bath, but not a haircut, as she was the only one working on Saturday the 27th. I then called the Columbia, Missouri. Someone picked up the phone after 22 seconds and then hung up. I called back and after 1 minute and 22 seconds, was hung up on again. I called back and asked to speak to a store manager, lady asked my name, so I gave it to her. After 7 minutes, Jason came to the phone, I explained to him what I was experiencing, he said they had been having issues with their phones. I told him with the exception of the first time I called, I was listening to conversations, so he agreed something else was going on (see attached photo). Asked him if he would go look at their schedule to see if Sadie could get a bath and haircut. Appointment was scheduled for 12:30pm. Upon our arrival, Amber (in the photo) was at the front desk with headphones on and cellphone in hand. After she removed the headphones, told her we had an appointment at 12:30 for a bath and haircut. She said we had Brittany today. We dropped off Sadie after chosing the length of her haircut (which was a #5). This was at 12:30pm. When we got her back at 2:50pm, looked more like a #2, or #3 (at best - see photo). So all in all, good bye, Petsmart. Will find someone else to care for our baby.
