Stopped by tonight needing some parts to repair my recliner. I dont know her name, but she was very helpful, found me the correct bolts that would fit, and explained how the parts I brought in should work. came home and fixed my recliner! Perfect! For $1.02 my chair is good as new! Thank you! Got to love "home town" stores with helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and patient employees!

Small, but has had everything I've needed so far. All my interactions with the staff have been great, too. Everyone seems very nice. Store is also always very clean. I've never seen dirty floors or trash on any visit.

Huge fan of this hardware store! I took my generator to this location because they are an authorized Generac service center. I dropped it off on Tuesday and had the generator back in 24 hours. They are direct when it comes to checking up on the service saying they will call when they determine the problem. Great place for any repairs including generators. I will use them again!!!

This is a great hardware store! The staff is very helpful and courteous. They have standard hardware store items as well as lumber, straw bales and equipment rentals. I found them because they also rent sno-cone machines and supplies. We needed one for a family party. I will definitely return to make other purchases!

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and prompt services. This massive store has a great variety to choose from that's located conveniently downtown. We had our snow blower recently serviced here to remove 21 acorns in the engine due to a critter storing them away. The manager and staff even loaded the snow blower into my truck! I'm looking forward to coming back soon for my next house project!

What wonderful place! We'd recently purchased a home and it needed a bit of TLC ~ Peter's being just down the street was such a convenience. I expected them to be pricey as it's a smaller store than Lowe's or Home Depot but was pleasantly surprised to find this not to be the case. I've gone in asking a lot of questions and they were all answered with patience and helpfulness ~ offering up lots of advice that I've saved quite a bit of money from listening to. I'd recommend this store to anyone and everyone!

Wow! Thank you True Value once again for amazing service and reasonable prices. You went over and beyond when you delivered our lumber and put it in the back by the deck! You've serviced our lawn mower and loaded my car when I needed bags of dirt. You give great advice and have gotten me out of a home improvement jam more than once. If they offered 10 stars you deserve it. Thank you!!!!!

Bought a $1,100 generator. By the time I got it home all of the things the store is responsible for attaching had fallen off (wheels, bumper stands). Although the store offered to fix it I wasn’t confident that the machine was properly built or properly serviced prior to purchase. Would not recommend purchasing power tools from this store.

This place is always friendly and helpful. The staff welcomes you and always ask if there's anything they can do to assist you. They have bailed me out a few times on key cutting as well on some unique keys. The folks in small engine repair are also Awesome. They have helped evaluate whether something is worth fixing or not. They even fixed a manufacturing defect on a Husqvarna snowblower I had. The electric start kept sharing off a gear so they resolve that problem. They have ordered parts for older lawn mowers and always helped search to find just the right one. I feel like I'm back in the '50s and at Mr Cunningham's hardware store from Happy Days TV show. 😉

I moved the South Lyon and have been looking for a local hardware store. This is by far the best one I’ve ever been to. They are very friendly, know their stuff, and are willing to work with you. The quality of their wood – treated or nontreated – is very high. The staff is very knowledgeable on any area of work. This is way better than a big box store and the prices are very competitive. I highly recommend this place. Also, I’ve brought my three kids in there many times in the staff gladly welcomed three small wild children in without fussing.

Owner lives by me and see his truck every morning so decided to stop by. This store is sweet. Tons of friendly people to help out. Had to wait in a line of cars for at least 5 minutes to grab a bag of compost. Tried just walking over to grab it and carry to my car but "We dont do that here". Would of been way easier, healthier, and more efficient.

We absolutely love this hardware store. They are always super helpful and very inventive! We have been coming here for 43 years. This store has saved me so many times. We are so so happy to have a local hardware store that will accommodate us whenever we need! Small mom and pop operations like Peter's True Value are a gem to have in our communities. We should support them as much as possible if we want them to survive. Poor reviews will harm small businesses in the long run. If you have an issue with a small business, talk to them about it. They will make it right every time.

It's so great having a Stihl dealer in town! Shout out to Shawn in the machines department who fixed my flooded hedge trimmer engine and gave me some guidance on a woodchipper rehabilitation. I couldn't appreciate it more having such helpful people around the corner, thanks to everyone here.
