Loved the store some employees is rude and stuck up the manager Shane always smoking I was saddened to see how they treated one of there employees I won't be shopping there anymore he was awesome employees great manners always greed everyone always a huge help to customers an staff he didn't deserve that what I witness was pure racist and for the store to do him like that no back up nobody stood up for him left him like he was a part of the store break my heart

Family Dollar on Portland Avenue and Draper Street is the usual one that I use. For the most part they have everything I need. And now that The Rite Aid pharmacy on Portland is closed, I seem to be going to Family dollar a little bit more. Can't quite figure out why I don't give it that fifth star but I'm sure it'll come to me soon.

My three year old had to use the bathroom and the cashier told me they didn't have public bathrooms...we were a customer...come on now. That was the first family Dollar that doesn't have a public bathroom. Ridiculous!

Most of the staff can be quite rude. One in particular runs the store like a trap house.. Walmart has cheaper prices on grocery items.

7 out of 8 boxes of marshmellow cereal were stale? Marshmallows were not crisp but more soft and smushy like air had gotten through the air tight bag. Not a fan

I live a 5 min walk from this store and today was on a walk to enjoy the sunny weather, and broze though this shop to see if there were any snacks I might enjoy and I spent about 5 mins browsing snack areas only to feel like I could not justify eating more sugar esp since I just had a burger nearby. I left the store empty handed and walked about 3 mins from the door up the road only to have the manager of the store grab my arm from behind (I thought I was being robbed for a second) and ask demandingly "What did you take from my store?!". I immediately declared my innocence, showed the contents of my pockets and said "let's go back in the store and settle this there so you can see yourself!" which completely caught him off guard. I asked him on what basis he was accusing me of stealing, what bit of reality could he cite, and I asked "Was is psychological hunch? Pure speculation?" and he agreed! He had no concrete reason to offer. I have never shoplifted in my life. I had a pocket full of money when this happened. I am still in shock. This manager is out of control. He didn't even apologize once I walked away and it was obvious I had not stolen anything.

My favorite Family Dollar in the Rochester Area. Very clean and well stocked inside. Very polite and helpful staff. All smiles and friendliness. Prices are always low and I'd shop here every single time if I could. Highly recommended

Shane, manager, excellent, helped me add app for coupons & deals. However communication among employees needs improvement. Had emergency, asked to hold basket, be right back, sat in car. Came back in, basket gone. Employee put it away & said no one said it was being saved. I was shook up from emergency, upset my purchase was gone/put away, I grabbed what I could see gave to employee to save for this morning. Ive called store this AM @ least 5 times, NO ANSWER. was letting them know I'm running late today. Hope My Stuff WASNT PUT AWAY AGAIN. Gosh, what away to loose a large purchase.

They sell a lot of bad and even bogus products here. Things are not always what they seem. And they don't let you return things using just the card you purchased them with, in spite of the fact that it is an electronic record of the purchase, and they would also have an electronic record on file themselves. So be careful what you buy here and make sure you look over your product thoroughly so that you know what it is you are buying, and hang on to your receipt.

Why put online that you close at 10pm if doors are locked a 9:10pm. Best put you close at eight. Useless..

Came here at 9:19 seeing as they close at 10 PM wanted to buy a lighter literally after a woman walked out. I walked in. They immediately told me that it was closed. When in fact, they had 40 minutes to close as one of the girls stood there and smoked her vape with the door open and would walk into the store vape smoke still coming from her mouth into the store very unprofessional very upset. This is not the image that Family Dollar should be upholding not a place for families at all.
