I’ve been going here since the car wash itself has been built. I always have a pleasant service. My vehicle always comes out clean. Only thing that happens here and there is not having tire shine placed on the wheels from the wash itself. However, the gentlemen here will gladly help out on getting tire shine placed onto the vehicle if the car wash doesn’t do it. Brently helped me today on my tire shine issue and he did an awesome job! Thank you!

New to the area and wanted to give this place a chance, pulled in to clean out my car and go through the wash so I could start a membership if I liked it. Within a minute of pulling in was approached and was told I had to pay to become a member before I was allowed to use the trash cans or vacuums (why advertise free vacuums then?) I told the guy I was cleaning out my car to go through the wash, he said “policy” states I have to pay for a membership first. I’d rather take my business elsewhere. I wash and vacuum my vehicle atleast 3-5+ times a week and have always had a membership, bummer to be treated like I was stealing a service that’s advertised as free anyways….

To keep your vehicle looking good in North Carolina, when then seasons change every day. You have to keep your vehicles washed from pollen, saltwater, sand from the beach, and even snow. Whistle Express Car Wash on Western is exceptional! I’ve now added my wife’s car, parent’s car, and my kids. The service they provide, the people working there are amazing, and the reason I added the family’s cars. I’m not as young as I once was, anyway, I asked for the tire spray. The manager came out and did my wheels himself, rims and tires. You don’t get service like this nowadays-I thought.

😡 One-Star Review: Whistle Car Wash - Destroyer of Alignments! Date: 16 Nov 2025, 11:30 AM I went to the Whistle Car Wash at 4245 Western Blvd, Jacksonville NC, with my 2020 GMC Sierra for what should have been a routine cleaning. Instead, I experienced a violent and damaging malfunction caused by their conveyor system. On two separate occasions during the wash cycle, their conveyor system forcefully pushed my 2.5-ton truck off the tracks! The impact was so severe, it caused the steering wheel to slam violently to the right. This wasn't a little bump; it was a jarring, metal-on-metal collision that shook the entire vehicle! Immediately after, I spoke with the two wash employees and the on-site manager, who were all present. They all admitted they had never seen this specific issue but unanimously agreed the conveyor system was responsible for knocking my truck off the tracks and causing the resulting steering misalignment. The manager took my information and assured me I'd be contacted regarding the claim. Damage: The severe, sudden force applied to my wheels and steering components knocked my recently performed alignment completely out of specification. My truck steering wheel is noticeably off-center, requiring a new wheel alignment ($120.00). The fact that three employees, including the manager, acknowledged the equipment failure means this should have been a simple, open-and-shut case. The fact that I had to chase down a follow-up after their promise speaks volumes about their disregard for the customer—a disregard that was cemented by corporate's response. Despite their own staff confirming the equipment failure, corporate played it off. They sent a generic response stating, "After thoroughly investigating the incident, we confirmed that there were no mechanical or operational issues with our wash equipment that would have caused your vehicle to come off the track." Their justification for denying the claim? That the day was supposedly a success for them, stating, "On the date in question, we successfully processed approximately 200 vehicles without any reports of similar concerns." My damage was dismissed because their system usually works and because they had a high volume of successful washes. They claim "all required hourly equipment inspections and checklists were completed," yet my 2.5-ton truck was thrown off the track twice. My experience, witnessed and confirmed by their own manager, was completely ignored and invalidated in favor of their daily vehicle count and procedural checks. My truck is damaged, my time was wasted, and my money is gone, but corporate's day was "successful," so they washed their hands of the problem.
