AVOID!!! THIEVES working there! The car wash was broken and the attendant was EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE. I was 1 of 3 people in a row who had problems, but yet, the attendant not only refused to give any of us refunds or a new code, he aggressively accused us of going through the car wash wrong. It does not take a genius to go through an automated car wash!

Used the carwash, paid cash, machine didn't give change but printed a receipt to get change inside after the wash. Went inside, clerk says "no change for outside. Credit card only." I tell him the machine didn't give change and it told me to come inside. He then says "No no, machine it exact change only, you want change you do it inside first!" I tell him that isn't posted anywhere, and you need to give me my change. He said he cannot. I asked who do I need to speak to to get my money, he says I don't know. I ask is there a number to call? He points at the doors Shell corporate phone number. I say okay, do you have a pen? He shakes his head no. My calm face now angry I say "what? Can you please give me a pen to write the number down!?" Pointing at the pen near him. He finally give me the pen, I write it down and leave. I called but they are closed, so I write an email. They responded by saying "Thank you for contacting Shell. Upon checking, the station you are reporting is not a Shell branded station. Please also be advised that the Shell stations in the United States are independently owned and operated. For your concern, we highly encourage you to file for a formal complaint directly with the station you went to." At this point I'm thinking of calling the police after being robbed by this independent owner.

Prices are not too far off from Arco, better gas and car wash too, but tends to break down a bit. Wash is ok, but doesn't get whole car clean. Edit: I don't recommend as they do not work with you on refunds or even another wash if it breaks down or if someone backs up on the car wash. Manuel is rude and wouldn't easily give me the number to the manager or owner. I have opted to not go there again.

Two things. Room mate got robbed here and the attendant staff refused to allow her access to the security records, or to comply with the police requesting the footge, as they had decided to delete the footage instead. There was a really dirty feeling , like these people may have actually been the thieves. Also went through the car wash, the machine broke before even beginning the wash. They refused to provide a refund, or to manually turn the machine on when provided with a receipt. They only provided a complaint sheet (specially tailored to the car wash, meaning that this happens rather often) and said that a formal complaint to the supervisor would have to be made to get the refund Do not support this business, they are crooks and will rip you off.

Purchased a carwash on 9/28 and was told it would be honored for a week. Didn't work one week later-today- and was told there was no refund. Never going there again.

Most rude employee and waste customer service. I paid 12 dollars cash for a car wash on the machine. Then I went inside the car wash , nothing worked. The cashier was saying bring the receipt , I’ll give the refund. This idiot should know no body pay for car wash to get refund, plus , if I come out the car wash , I have to go back in the line. I’m gonna go to corporate with this .

You guys say that you take customers concerns seriously, but there are literally dozens of reviews about the broken down car wash and the rude customer service from your employees and yet you haven’t done anything to fix the issues such as finding someone else. I’ve worked in customer service and the hospitality industry, and the one thing I always did was smile and take care of the customers needs, no matter what, that’s what good customer service is all about.

Wish I could give this "0" Stars!!! This Shell car wash malfunctioned and the big roller crashed down through my back window. It destroyed the window, scratched my car, got nasty smelling suds in the car and glass. Shell has not taken responsibility. They do not follow up on calls like they say they will. The manager Andrea is polite on phone but her lack of action says it all. I had to pay for the replacement deductible $250 plus pay to have all the glass removed and have the car detailed to remove scratches and get the odor out of the car by having it steam cleaned another $250. Plus the car wash cost $7.99 and it never actually washed my car...instead it smashed it up. Oh and I had to pay for alternative transportation. Shell should take responsibility for their faulty car washes. I will never get gas nor car washes from Shell.

DONT GO TO THIS CARWASH! Attendant was rude!!! He suddenly came out mad and told me basically to shut up and no refund. I lost my money. the dryer broke down before I can even use it and I paid already. He didn't want to refund my money. He kept telling me he didn't want to hear it and told me I lost my money and it's my fault. SHELL update your carwash. This is not how you should treat your customers! I will tell my friends and family and post on media to warn others. Cause all the other reviews here on Google are all the same one star rating about the attendant and the carwash problem!

The worst service of all the cashier Marco wasn’t even professional. I paid for a car wash the machine was not working the proper way I went and I told the cashier Marco and he said that he cannot do nothing for me that I lost my money That no refunds. I just wanted my car to get wash. I pay for my car. He basically kept my money. Shell is making money on their car wash not working the proper way. I feel someone needs to check on how the car wash machine is not working for the public. The green light is go and the end doesn’t give you any service.

Car wash is just OK. But be aware that if the dryer doesn't come down or messes up for some reason you'll basically have to fight with the workers to get a rewash or refund. They told me no even when it clearly didn't dry my car (my car was fully wet) so my Husband had to come in and they refunded us after he demanded it lol.

The workers inside are the worst.. Super rude, they had no change for $20 in the morning whether I put gas or bought an item!?! That's just to show how money hungry and full of you know what they are.. Never again!!! You guys are lucky I needed to pull into your spot.

Don't use the car wash. The dryer does not function fully. You'll be leaving with water stains all over your car. Operators are aware and warn you to drive through extra slowly because the top dryer does not descents anymore. However, it does not matter how slow you drive and how long you stand there, you eventually get buzzed out and you end up with a half dry car. The responsible thing to do would be to fix it instead of having customers receive half the service they pay for.

Beware of their carwash! I went to get a carwash tonight and paid $8.99 for the service. The machine didn't dry my car! It felt like the machine turned off because I never got a "green light" to go forward for the dryer. I even drove slowly to see if the dryer was on but it wasn't! I went to talk to the cashier which was a hispanic older man with mustache and curly liight brown hair and he tried telling me that I drove too early which is not true!! I kept telling him that no light was on! He was trying to gas light me and didn't want to give me my refund because the machine was working fine with the other cars. I've been reading the other comments and it seems that this carwash machine glitches on some cars and this cashier never wants to refund! I even thought that maybe the $8.99 didn't include air dry but it does!! The guy told me to come the next day in the morning and talk with the manager. He gave me attitude and didn't want to provide a phone number where I could call to complain. Luckily, I have the carwash recorded on my dash cam where it shows that the lights that indicate when to move forward just turned off!! I am calling tomorrow and complaining for not getting the complete service I paid for! Plus this employees was no help and had such a terrible attitude.

A gas station has to be pretty bad for someone to search them up with the intention of giving them a 1 star and scathing review. First, the carwash will leave deep spiral scratches in your car and you'll likely see rats in the grass fighting while waiting in the most narrow bumper/side mirror damaging line ever. The place is horribly maintained. Also staff here have been particularly horrible throughout the years. I just got my new car today and came to the realization brand loyalty to Shell means less when you have to deal with this garbage. Also I'll save the owner time by copy and pasting the same insincere reply to every negative review here: "We take your concerns seriously and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Rest assured, we will share this feedback to the station operator for appropriate action. - Shell Customer Care"

No star actually zero stars negative stars! just using it to post this March 22, 2025 at 1215 pm PST to please reference your own cameras how your attendant treated me . The guy a tall dark haired shaved at the sides (the same guy that will never give you change out of a 20 for a dollar to use the vacuum machine) left me inside the car wash ! that stopped its cycle right after my car was covered in soap everywhere and refused to turn it back on since I didn’t print a receipt? He said “on camera my machine works so it’s your fault??” I said on camera I paid ! And wouldn’t have been able to start the wash without paying??.why can’t you just reset it so I can complete the cycle - I didn’t even want a refund just a car wash! I also called multiple times from my car to only receive a busy signal as I was stranded in there and finally when I waded through all the soap to run into the cashier area found he was on the phone laughing with a friend I know because oh I’ll have to call you later bro. I was covered in suds and he could care less.he just started yelling at me so I yelled back . I was extremely nice and trying to joke at first because of the way he treats me each time I use the vacuum I called the police on him then and I’m filing a report with the BBB . How do you guys sleep at night getting away with this behavior? I asked for the owners number and he said it’s personal business so the police found the owners information for me via the BBB. The guy is lucky that another young woman like myself who’s just trying to get a car wash hasnt had her boyfriend and his friends jump this guy or something ? since you guys do nothing to help out the customer. What recourse are we left with? It’s so convenient having the gas station and wash around the corner especially in Glendale now I know why less and less people use it. You leave us with nothing but powerlessness . Shame on you for writing your responses to all these bad reviews (there isn’t one good one in the thread anywhere ) as if you care but you really don’t? Whoever does your hiring should be fired and whomever the owner is should hire a new team. That would be a good place to start before someone much more powerful than me finds a way to shut you guys down. I had to drive home my car covered in suds as well as my my shoes and bottom half of my clothes to find a hose but now I have spots that won’t simply wash off .

On the above date I visited the Shell station to purchase gasoline using a Shell gift card with a $50 balance. From the moment I arrived, one of the station employees treated me disrespectfully. I remained calm and polite throughout the interaction. I asked to check the balance on my gift card. I personally began peeling off the sticker on the card to reveal the 4-digit code so I could verify the balance. I did this while standing in an empty area and not blocking anyone. The employee objected, telling me I could not peel the sticker there — which I found unreasonable because I was not creating any disturbance or littering. After confirming the card had a $50 balance, I asked the employee to charge $50 so I could fuel my vehicle. I paid with the gift card and received a payment receipt. I then proceeded to my vehicle to pump gasoline, but the pump did not dispense fuel. I returned to the counter and asked the employee which pump/station number he had applied my $50 payment to. The employee angrily told me that I had made a mistake and that nothing could be done. Shortly thereafter I discovered that the transaction I paid for had been cancelled by the employee. The employee had repeatedly told me I could “throw the card away” — it appears this was an attempt to make me discard the card while he cancelled the paid transaction on his side, leaving me without fuel despite my payment. When I stated I would complain, the employee followed me toward my car, shouted at me, and told me to call the police if I wanted. His conduct was intimidating, unprofessional, and potentially criminal.
