The Family Dollar store located on 25th and Monroe is a disaster. The store is not clean or organized. Their shelves are pretty much empty thus making it very difficult to find most items needed. There is always one cashier regardless of how many people are in line. If someone they are familiar with comes through, the cashiers will waste the other customer's time chatting with the person or persons they know. Completely unprofessional. Store needs a lot of changes!

I was admittedly in a VERY bad mood from forgetting a 52-character long password and I was out of cigarettes. Regardless of seeing that, the cashier was professional, stood her ground on rules for the store regarding letting me use a lighter temporarily. She seriously deserves a raise or a promotion for dealing with me in an absolutely rotten mood. Good job sweetie! ;)

I live only a few blocks away so it's convenient but not always reasonable prices. Workers there have always been extremely rude even though I used to go there often. Once I was carrying a small backpack which I carried everywhere especially when walking somewhere.it was my purse. It contained my wallet and other personal items that I had with me always. they told me I couldn't enter the store unless I left it outside or in front of thestore.(right by the front door) and when I asked who would be watching my purse while they're watching me shop they said again..leave it or you can't come in.well, since I had walked from my home I couldn't really just put it in my car and after that,forget it anyway. I went home and didn't go back. They were basically telling me they thought I'd fill my purse with merchandise. If I were Planning ahead for the walk home, I would have brought a bigger bag since theirs arecheap and paper thin.they rip before you can even get out of the parking lot but don't ask for another if you don't want to be treated like a low life for doing so. Maybe they're bitchy because it's a thousand degrees in the there year round but customers have to stand in long lines in the same temperatures and you'll never see any of them do anything extra like..smile or tell you have a nice day..even if you say it first. They're kind of one of the only stores around and they just don't care. They all seem to hate their jobs.

Update: Buyer Beware! this store has innacurate prices listed, and when you tell them the price is marked different they argue to fix it. You have to demand that by law if it says a price they have to uphold it. Even with that, they still give you problems. This store is closing early and at random times. Rarely have items priced accurately. There is no air conditioning and the management in charge of fixing things refuses to do so, as I've been told by employees. Employees are nice and friendly, helpful, but its small comfort when they aren't open at listed times. People are also stealing their carts constantly.

worest family dollar ever. I ordered online and received email saying it is delivered to the store. Yet, when we picking up the order, people there says they have not received it and ask me to wait for a few days. The next week I visited, they still say they haven’t received it. I ask if they could help in contact someone to see where is the order, rejected. I asked if I could cancel the order, rejected again. The only method left with me is to dispute the transaction with my credit card. Such a hassle, not worth the time waiting and the efforts visiting the store again and again. BTW, the person there is rude.

Some of their cashiers are awesome, shout out to Jessica and Scott. But I have had nothing but problems at this location with the coupon app. Previously the cashier was able to help. This time the cashier had no idea what to do and would not listen when I explained what we did last time. She screwed it up. I didn't have patience this time and cancelled my sale. It was only $50 dollars. I don't blame the clerk but the manager, Shari. I am unsure if I will continue to shop there or not .

I didn't give it 5 stars because it didn't have some of the things I needed that it did sell. The clerks are friendly except one...he is a complete prat. But the merchandise is cheap. Both in price and in quality. I gave it the full 4 stars because if you shop here, you know you are buying temporary items. Their merchandise is not built to last and it is not meant to last. You should know this at the outset. They deliver as promised. So it is a good place to shop keeping that in mind.

This Family Dollar is a prime example why anyone who continues to shop here doesn’t respect and have dignity for themselves. First of all the management who runs the store had refused to fix air conditioning and employees and customers who come in are sweltering. Also, store had kick me out just for taking a picture of something and tries to get hostile towards customers if they explain something. Family dollar stores in multiple states have too had employees working without air conditioning in sweltering 100+ degree heat and not being attentive to it. Their behavior at this location and others proves that if they can treat their employees with disrespect, they easily can do it with customers. Don’t give these low down dirty shame folks your hard earned money

This Family Dollar one of my favorite locations. You never know what cashier you're gonna get. Turnover is off the charts. However; No matter who it be or how new, they're very Polite and Customer Service trained well. Also no matter if they are understaffed, which they are always, their employees work very hard & Give it 100%, no matter the conditions. It's a Pleasant, chaotic and Stuffy environment and understaffed, but despite all that! Great Customer Service. Reason a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ are valid, to me.

New workers are not attentive to what they are doing they spend more time talking and socializing while working the cash register They have made numerous mistakes and you have to debate with them to get them to correct it. Also they really do not speak very good English which make the transactions very difficult at times.

Won’t accept returns - The employees, including manager, tried to tell me the purchase was too long ago because it was in September - their official return policy is 30 days, I had to point out their policy and how September 20th was 2 weeks ago. Just because it’s October doesn’t mean the purchase date September is outside of 30 days, but all employees just defaulted to that without even calculating the date!! They then claimed returns need to be returned to the same store location. Family Dollar’s Official Policy says you can return any item to any Family Dollar location. Employees treat returns like it’s coming out of their paycheck. Extremely disappointing situation that I’m not having to escalate to their Corporate office as in-store employees are of no help. This will be my last time ever going to a Family Dollar

Such BS THEY said mam I need you to leave your bag up here while entering the store . I replied " my PURSE " SHE SAID YES OR YOU CAN LEAVE. MY PURSE CONTAINS ALL MY CARDS AND MONEY MY KEYS MY PHONE. ALL OF WHICH I CANT REPLACE NOR WOULD THEY IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO MY PURSE WHILE UNDER THEIR WATCH. I JUST WALKED OVER 3 MILES JUST TO GET A COUPLE ITEMS AND NOW IM ANGRY HAVE TO WALK HOME IN THE RAIN WITHOUT THE THINGS I NEEDED. The store on MONROE ....
