Bryan, the general manager at Clearwave car wash, runs an incredible operation! The entire process was smooth and efficient, and I was in and out in no time. The car wash itself did an amazing job, my car came out spotless and shining like new. Bryan’s attention to detail and customer care really stood out. You can tell that Bryan ensures everything is maintained perfectly for a top-tier result every time. Highly recommend this place, and it’s clear Bryan is the reason it runs so well!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I canceled my membership and was still charged multiple times afterward—adding up to well over $300. I spent six months trying to get it resolved. Brady claimed the refund had been submitted but never once provided a receipt, tracking number, photo of the check, or even a basic confirmation. Just silence. Eventually, he said a check would be mailed. It never arrived. I followed up again—nothing. And now that my bank’s dispute window has passed, I’m stuck covering charges I never should’ve been billed for in the first place. Yes, I received a partial refund of $98.85 earlier this year—but that’s not even 20% of what I’m owed, for a mistake that wasn’t even my fault. The rest? Completely unaddressed. No ownership. No accountability. Let’s be clear: I was the customer. I canceled properly. I followed up consistently. I offered to stop by in person. I stayed respectful and patient—even while I was sick—and was met with excuse after excuse. Brady claimed he couldn’t send a photo of the check. Said I had to call. The longer this dragged out, the more it felt like someone trying to avoid responsibility instead of fix the issue. And that’s not even the full story. This location also caused serious damage to my car. My 2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE was scratched down both sides and across the hood—before I even legally owned it. One visit actually ripped off the entire side mirror cover, leaving the wires exposed. And my mom’s car was damaged here more than once, too. And I still never left a bad review when any of that happened. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I stayed quiet. “The people are nice,” I’d foolishly say. I tried to handle everything directly and respectfully. But this has gone on WAY too long. Back on March 12, I said in writing that stealing from a customer and disappearing wasn’t okay. It wasn’t then—and it definitely isn’t now. It’s now late June. Still no check. Still no follow-through. Still no respect. And then the kicker: turns out, someone was getting free washes on my dime for over a year. I was unknowingly footing the bill for someone else to coast through with unlimited access. And when I finally caught it and tried to fix it? I was ignored, dismissed, and completely disrespected. You can even spot Brady’s childish behavior in other Google review replies—blaming customers for issues that were clearly his fault. I’ve been berated, belittled, and talked down to by this man—when I did nothing wrong. He works in customer service and doesn’t even grasp the basics of how to treat people. While it may be instinctive in his blood to care less about a fellow human than himself, I tried to be better. I gave him chance after chance. But I made a horrific judgment call trusting this man. Don’t let him take advantage of you. Because he will. It’s only a matter of time. If you care about your car, your time, your money, or your self-respect—go literally anywhere else. You’ll be SO glad you did (:

Easily the worst car wash in the area. It’s a few dollars higher than anything else along 64 or 38. Every car wash tries to sell you on the monthly membership, understandable, they are just doing business, but these guys have been more pushy about it for years. On top of that if you drive an SUV with a broader flatter back then it just doesn’t get clean. Most cars sold are that shape now and I don’t have that issue at other car washes in the area that again cost a couple dollars less..

Don’t take your car here unless you are willing to have it damaged. The door didn’t open all the way and drug across my vehicle. Have been waiting 2 days for a promised call back for resolution. The cowards don’t answer the phone when you call back either.

Place is a joke. Damaged the front bumper on my vehicle. Also the membership is way over priced especially in the middle of the winter when the place is barely open. Huge pass on this place!

Great monthly rate for the "Works!" Seems like the earlier in the day you go. The better tire shine you get. Vacuums and micro-fiber towels are awesome!👍👍Love it.

I signed up for a membership and got double charged the first 4 months on both my debit and credit card despite the fact I never gave them my credit card information. Unfortunately I did not catch this issue until then. When I tried calling I was never able to get a hold of anyone despite leaving numerous voicemails. When I went to the location, they claimed to had fixed the issue each time, but I continue to get double charged. They also said they can only reimburse me $25 at a time. Each time I ask to speak with a manager they're either "in a meeting" or not there. Here I am still dealing with this unresolved issue while the business owes me $150. I am still unsure how the got my credit card information, leaving me to believe this is fraud. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and plan to file another complain with the Illinois Attorney General office on Monday. I have very good reason to believe this business is performing acts of fraud and based on other reviews it appears I am not the only one.

Only cancel membership by calling. We are moving and I repeatedly requested cancellation online but kept getting billed. They have crappy system..couldn't find my name, email or phone number in system could only find me by my credit card number. Small wonder communication is terrible. Real nice girl in St Charles named Emily figured it out and finally cancelled it , after of course i got billed for another month for two cars. Staff in STC is generally quite friendly.

Literally just went and it bent my license plate. I called they said yea happens all the time we’re not responsible it’s a touch wash. Awful customer service from the girls no smiles, very rude tone of voice. I spent $ on that? What a joke this entire establishment is. I worked customer service 10+ years and could never act like that or be so rude over something breaking from their machine. Screw this.

Quick and clean! Staff is always friendly. One person in particular has been a pleasure to interact with. Ari is always smiling and was the one who helped me sign up for my membership 👍 Car wash has the best vacuums! I love the ability to pretreatment the car myself with the provided brush and bug solvent too. Definitely a great car wash. Wish there was one near my office...I'd go during lunch 😀

Car wash scratched brand new rims. When I tell them they have me fill out a form and say it was pre-existing.(Update: they will not show me the "4k " footage of the "pre existing" damage.)Do not go here. The line scratches rims. I literally had the rims for a month. I would know if I hit a curb within a month. Not to mention the guy at the front wont let you just buy a basic wash. Wants to sit there and haggle with you why you need a more expensive wash for 15 min. Update: so they say they have camera footage but will not show me any of the 4k footage of the pre existing damage. Seems strange.

HORRIBLE customer service and auto care. Management Emilie and Ivan are so horrible...I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Ivan was unable to direct my car into the wash properly and the whole wash went into AUTO SHUT DOWN. And to be honest I feel he did it in purpose after I refused the upcharges....he was laughing and EXTREMELY RUDE when i repeatedly told him i only wanted 1 wash... When speaking w management she too stated she HAD to stand there and upsell the washes?! Never have I ever had this issue w GAS N WASH. Unfortunately I was in stc and needed a 1 time wash...pls visit the gas n wash next time!

My company has been using Clear wave for years now. We have a business account with them, Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with the area manager and general manager. Luckily, the location managers, Emily and Juan talked to me today and made things more than right. Their customer service is exceptional and they should be promoted to the area manager and general manager. They know how to treat their customers. We are happy to give our business to Clear wave.

Ive been utilizing Clearwave for an eon. Thats because it's the best carwash within a 50 mi radius; for the price - hands down. The manager Juan and crew are always helpful, polite, and friendly. That vacuums are always top class + free. If you know you know

Wish I would have checked the reviews before stopping here. 9$ for a "car wash" with no soap! Wth what type of service is that? I paid the 15$ wash, got stuck inside 3 times!!!. The air they have to dry your car is the equivalent to a personal fan on the Low setting. Will never stop here again.

This place is such a scam. I went there once in July because it was close enough on my way home from the store. The young woman at the kiosk asked what type of car wash I wanted, I selected one and then she said "Oh the higher priced one comes with a free car wash for next time." I told her that was fine but that I absolutely did not want to sign up for any membership as this is not near my home. She told me not to worry but that it was just a single free wash, not any type of membership. She pushed all of the buttons and swiped my card for me so I assumed she was being honest with me. She put a sticker on my windshield for the "singular free carwash" which she explained is how I would receive said car wash for free. So you can imagine my surprise when I am reviewing my bank statement and see a reoccurring charge for $38 thats been occurring since August. The fact that she not only lied to me but also signed me up for some membership without my consent really aggravates me. This is so shady to do as a business tactic and I can only imagine how many other customers this car wash has done that to! After reading the other reviews I don't think anyone should ever waste their time here. I think that you're better off just avoiding this business in general. Also, I cancelled my fraudulent membership online so time will tell if it actually does cancel the membership I explicitly told the woman I didn't want to begin with. I will be having a conversation with the proper authorities to make sure this business is held accountable. To make a long story short, never ever wash your car here, unless of course you want to be scammed and signed up for a membership you never asked for.

On 12/8 at around 3:45 PM, my brand-new car was struck multiple times while going through the Clearwave car wash. This situation could have been easily prevented if proper spacing between vehicles had been maintained and if the wash had been stopped when I repeatedly honked my horn. A large black SUV in front of me failed to stay in neutral and came off the tracks. To avoid hitting that vehicle, I was forced to brake after my horn was ignored. This caused my car to come off the tracks as well, and the vehicle behind me then hit my car multiple times. The SUV responsible immediately sped out of the parking lot. I filed an accident report immediately and was assured I would be contacted. It has now been over a month, and Clearwave has neither reached out nor taken any accountability. I have been a loyal customer for over a year and had an active monthly pass at the time, which makes the lack of response even more disappointing. My vehicle now has multiple dents and missing paint due to their negligence. A very traumatic and disappointing experience — I would avoid this location.
