The Bardstown rd location is horrible. After Zips purchased the existing car wash, they replaced almost all of the friendly and helpful employees with bodies, set a five minute time-limit to vacuum and dry, and cut a three lane operation down to normally one or occasionally two. Hours state 8am to 8pm. They are frequently late to open. I've waited 10min and left. They also close early. The end of the wash has a plate on the driver's side that doesn't close and instead of being moved forward, you have to hit the accelerator to exit and avoid having the car behind you make contact. There's additional issues, but those are the primary concerns they refuse to address. Not worth the money for a single wash or a membership. Avoid at all cost.

I am ONLY giving this location 5 stars. The other Zips Wash locations are not properly or professionally serviced. This one and the Breckenridge Ln location are my preferred. Vacuums actually work where I wash. Mamagement needs engineers to fix their vacuums. The monthly premium is pricey and IMO not worth it but in all it does save you money if you go to a car wash once a week spending $15 / week. It's been several months since they stopped prespraying your car before you enter which I preferred.

An employee at the kiosk fraudulently signed me up for membership when I told her I did not want a membership just a single car wash. Now I have a complaint to customer service via website due to office closed over the weekend. Very fraudulent company and employee. I kept telling her to give my card back and now I know why she kept punching something in her ipad and she told me the kiosk was broken. I will never use them again and I better not get charged again next month or I will file a complaint with the BBB.

I absolutely love going to Zips Car Wash! Every time I pull in, I’m greeted with friendly smiles and quick service. The staff is always so helpful, and the entire process is incredibly smooth and efficient. The wash itself does an amazing job my car comes out sparkling clean, and I love that they offer free vacuums to keep the inside just as spotless. It’s such a great value, especially with their unlimited wash membership! I never have to worry about dirt or the salt from the snow ruining my car’s shine because I can swing by anytime for a quick refresh. On Saturday September 20th, 2025 I came by your Hurtbourne establishment in Louisville, Kentucky. I would like to commend and highly praise the gentleman opening that day. First, your touch screen/payment screen is damaged. He was there to greet everyone amd take payment and program the wash. Then he had to run to the entacnce of the wash to help each customer line up and enter the wash area. Once the vehicles were set, he would run into the office to start the wash. This man is a superstar and deaerves all the praise and gratitude.

Edit: reducing to 1 star due to damage to my vehicle they refuse to pay for. The staff was also extremely rude, especially the manager. Don't take your car here if you care about it in any way. Adding another edit after trying to have my account canceled. Do not sign up for the monthly membership! It is a nightmare to get out of. After their faulty wash damaged my car and them refusing to pay for the damages, I attempted to cancel my membership... That was on October 26th, yet they charged me today(Dec 5th) for another month after receiving a confirmation email. This company is dishonest and you should avoid at all costs.

For the most part, sides and front were clean, but when you pay $20, I would expect the wheels to come out with most of the brake dust gone! Barely touched them... the back side also remained dirty. I went several months ago and it was great, not sure what had happened in those months since but I'm very disappointed.

HIGHLY recommend this car wash!! I came to Zips a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I had a coupon for $20 off of a $30 car wash. I was very pleased with this car wash facility. After the wash, I was absolutely blown away with how good the vacuums were (pun intended). I have literally never vacuumed my car with such a powerful vacuum!!!! It was worth every penny for that alone! I was pleasantly surprised to see free towels and cleaner, as well! Just when I thought this experience couldn’t get any better, I noticed they had air compressors to get into the little crevices. I am very serious about keeping my car clean and when I saw this added bonus I was over the moon! Absolutely brilliant, Zips! I will be getting a membership ☺️

Loyal zips member. Ran my truck with ladder rack through wash 20+ times. Employee forgot to hit the top brush retract button for trucks with racks. Snapped the rack off my truck. Employee admitted it was his fault. Filed claim through their process which is just a piece of paper. No one ever called or emailed me. I had to call and email once every few weeks and after over a month a manager called me. Said he reviewed the video and saw the top brush come down and confirmed employee could have prevented it. Obviously because this was the 21st time I’ve got my truck washed at zips with the rack on it. He requested receipts and pictures. I provided everything even dates and times. He said it was perfect and he would issue a reimbursement amount of the ladder rack. Still to this day never heard anything from anyone. I called in and my “damage claim doesn’t exist.” Two thumbs up for taking advantage of loyal customers and losing a life long customer. Thanks for the dishonesty and 400$ bill you left me with. Lacking integrity and professionalism from start to finish. 🙏

Normally pretty good, but I’ve noticed that they’re missing some of the strips for the car wash so not every part of your car is getting washed as far as windshields and tops and hood go. Need To repair for quality car wash

Good luck staying open ... why even have a member side at this point. Plus ur employees refused to guide u in correctly. She didn't tell when to put in gear at right time and my car got sucked into the car wash fast

Paid $25 for ultimate car wash and got a horrible wash. The worst I have ever gotten. I went to office and politely asked 2 gentlemen for a refund since Zips has a wash guarantee. I was told no. They called Matt the manager who said he would not give a refund but I could wash again. Then I was blamed for truck not being clean. I asked for management's contact info and Matt could provide nothing. Not a professional experience and would have been very simple to refund the $25. I would recommend to take business elsewhere...

Was attempting to get my car washed at 4 PM today and could see two workers inside the building. No one came out to help assist me. Me and multiple other customers had to back out in reverse to get out of the car wash. No workers came out to assist. It would’ve been nice had they left a closed sign or put a cone out to show that the car wash was not available for use instead of having customers struggle to back out without damaging their cars in such a tight area. I pulled up and the door was unlocked, they said they closed early. Please put cones out if this is the case so cars don’t pile up to have a service done they can’t get

Half the car wash was broken, they didnt tell me and when it finished I went to talk to the people working and was told that the "omni" part of the wash that hits the hood and roof is broken. I asked, as anyone would, for a free wash at a diffrent zips that isn't broken and the girl told me there was nothing she could do. I called corporate and after 30 min they told me they cant offer codes for free wash and I would just have to pay for another wash elsewhere. To which I laughed a petty laugh, I blocked the entrance and told the patrons wanting what happened, they all thanked me and pulled away. In 45 min of wait over the principal, I cost them 11 washes and was finally given a code to leave to lot. What kind of company would operate like this! I will never go back after my FREE wash.

My Mercedes had 3 different stickers in 5 days because it wasnt picking up the barcode..no was at the reader..sat there for bout 10 mins blowing my horn and literally no one came..their was a guy who was standing there..then he walks back into the office..had like 8 cars behind me..so I literally got out my car to walk up to the office where he was and he was just standing there on a lap top doing nothing..they really need to get new employees..and I see some people love this place to each it's own but the staff needs an up grade and get some people that wants to work..I was so frustrated at the guy who was just standing there i literally canceled my monthly subscription..even though im just one person they lost due to a bad employee..they lost $45 to $65 a month..might don't seem like a lot for unlimited washes..but x those numbers by 12..other than that guy..it's a good place to wash your car..
