Kevin and the staff were great. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The services offered were comprehensive and addressed the concerns I sought to fix. The biggest surprise was the ability to finance the services and pay over a 12-month period interest free! The finished product topped it off as it was very well done. The truck looked better than it did when I took delivery of it three years earlier. I will be back next year and will be bringing another vehicle down for their vehicle-protection products and services. Thanks again for a job well done!

I brought my F150 here in 2018 and got the rust protection, under body coating and truck bed liner. Every year i bring it back for free maintenance which includes respraying the bottom and touching up the rust protection. The best part is the yearly touch ups are free. So far the bed liner has been rock solid and looks fantastic after plenty of abuse. The under coating and rust protection are doing their job with no signs of rust. I think if you are planning on keeping your truck for a while this is a fantastic way to keep it rust free and worth the money. The people here have always been nice and they now have a much better location so I think things will only get better. I'm hoping to keep my truck for a while longer but if I get a new one I would come back here and get the same services.

Was sold a package for 3200 3 layer cermic with a amazing 10 year warranty only to find out a year later that i need to renew it every year for a additional 750. The shaddy salesman Kevin who is in charge of course sold it to me then tells me its in the fine print which of course you dont get until after you paid. So in 5 years you pay aprox 7k the cost of a paint job. Disgusting company ownership and salesmen. Run run far

Believe the bad reviews, we're not lying to you. Go somewhere else for rustproofing. Ziebart picks and chooses what they will spray, then when rust appears they'll fight you on it with every excuse as to why something wasn't sprayed. As another reviewer said, apparently they don't spray the rear wheel wells in trucks (or any newer car really) because of plastic. Ok, well the edge isn't plastic so why is this not sprayed? Not to mention there's been multiple times I've brought my truck for a re-spray and they have undercoating all over my paint that I've had to bring back to remove, so what difference does it make if it gets on plastic? Is this not a prime area of dirt/water/salt from the tires? Perhaps the warranty should state specific PARTS (because this was not one) that aren't touched before spending $700+ and assuming your vehicle is protected when it's not. First, was told that was an area that's typically sprayed (even after a photo when it's clear there's plastic there), then I'm told they don't spray it because of the plastic, then I'm told because there's bolts missing it's rusting. There's bolts missing on all of them and those aren't rusted. And if it was an area that's typically sprayed (or not, who even knows..everybody has a different story and should probably just stick to one answer instead of sounding like a bunch of idiots) why wasn't the missing bolts and rust brought to my attention when I go for my re-spray? So finally after fighting with them after the smartass guy that answers the phones said there was nothing they could do and I have to pay $500 to get it fixed before even looking at it, they sprayed "rust eliminator" on it as a courtesy, which looks like nothing was sprayed at all. Could've done that in my own driveway and not wasted yet another day without a vehicle. Not to mention shady activity after this rust eliminator was sprayed, like keeping my truck in a smoldering hot location overnight. I see everything on my Drone Mobile app, 11pm in December and it was 92 degrees in my truck? Moved to another location on the GPS? Where the hell was it? Between terrible customer service at this location, sketchy things happening during the process, and the lack of accountability & finding every excuse as to why something wasn't sprayed and why they won't fix it, why would you want to go here? Glad I wasted 5 years to be inconvenienced and I have rust anyways. Go somewhere that'll actually do the job you paid them to do instead of these clowns. Congrats Ziebart, based on your 1 star reviews looks like your giving other businesses the money they deserve. BTW I've contacted other companies that do undercoating and they all state they can spray that part of the vehicle no problem, plastic or no plastic 🤷♀️

They did a good job but yearly I was supposed to be able to go back there and have them touch up anything that had washed or worn off, but they had a fire and the place was no longer opened so I paid for a lifetime of care and only got undercoated 1x. Since then I’ve been using Donny McCallister at Brattleboro collision in Brattleboro - he does Vermont New Hampshire oil undercoat, reasonably priced nice place to deal with and he does a good job

I had a very disappointing experience with Hoffman Car Wash and their detailing facility. Their equipment damaged my car, yet they refused to take responsibility for the repairs. Instead, they wasted my time with long email conversations and ultimately claimed the damage was "pre-existing," which was completely false. The staff seemed poorly trained, provided unclear instructions, and even redirected me in the wrong direction, which contributed to the damage. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, Hoffman Car Wash refused to cover the repair costs, leaving me to pay out of pocket for something that was entirely their fault. I’m sharing my experience to warn others this can happen to you, too. Be cautious when using their services, as they do not take responsibility for damages caused by their equipment. I strongly advise against trusting them with your vehicle. #HoffmanCarWash #CarDamage #PoorCustomerService

Was not too pleased with the results. Missed a few spots on the undercoat. The newer Chevy trucks have a plastic lining in the rear wheel wells . They told me they would take them off and spray them but they didn’t. Was still charged full price. That’s where the rust will start but I wasn’t given the rust protection. Won’t go back. They will probably make things worse if I do. I should have read the awful reviews before I let them touch my vehicle. Guy’s over there need to start caring about their quality of work. Have some pride in what you do.

I always spoke very highly of Ziebart even though their sales tactics were on the aggressive side, and pricing is quite high. After using their services for over a decade, as of today we can no longer recommend this shop. One of the reasons I have always paid the initial high price for Ziebart products is that this price includes annual inspection and touch up. This year I made my annual appointment received my quote through email which again noted the free inspection. However upon arrival the vehicle would not be serviced without an additional fee of $150 which came out of nowhere. This is a change to the initial agreement from 2021 on this particular vehicle, and would also have impacted my choice of products given there initial high cost. I would not necessarily say that the products are bad, however the sales tactics are less than ethical.

Ziebart was to replace defective paint protective film (PPF), applied to front bumper that was peeling and lifting and authorized for replacement by Ziebart corporate. After replacement, I inspected their work and noticed right corner of the front bumper, old PPF geometric fragments, some with exact vertical and horizontal lines remained underneath the new PPF layer. The fragments were seen and felt. The new PPF layer lifted over the top of the fragments underneath. I pointed this out to the General Manager. He attempted to deflect, stating fragments were “stone chips” that had “penetrated” the PPF. Showed him the new PPF actually RISES OVER the fragments. His statement were both ridiculous, and preposterous. "Stone chip” damage) 1) does not manifest precise horizontal, vertical lines & geometric shapes, especially localized area 2) would create a wider impact and a random pattern. He then told me TO MY FACE that he needed two estimates from TWO body shops. Not only did I get two estimates from the body shops, I also went to a reputable PPF and detailing shop. They confirmed my findings in a written statement from their technician. I also had a licensed auto insurance adjuster and body repair estimator look at Ziebart’s “handiwork”. He also provided a notarized statement attesting to the same findings. In removing old PPF, the Ziebart workers pulled some of the clearcoat off in that area. They put the fragments back and put new PPF over the top to cover it up. To repair damage, cost $1200. The general manager later refused to honor the estimates provided to him. I contacted Ziebart Corporate and spoke with the “Senior Customer Service and Training Administrator”, also sending her all the complete correspondence & statements, including pictures. Her email response was that there was nothing she could do, as each franchise is individually run. Complaint also filed with NY State Attorney General’s office, but reported they could not get a response from company.

Couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They fixed a ton of swirl marks in the clear coat and restored my truck back to better than brand new with a ceramic coating. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend!

Pretty good job on the detail and undercoating. I'm sure by seeing the results that my truck is very protected against rust. Missed a big confetti mess behind the seat and need to work on masking for the coating but other than that A+ quality!!! 😃

Let's start off with how they are not a professional company at all. A kid could do a better job. I'm so disappointed when I show up to pick my car up after saying multiple time. Makes sure you don't get overspray on my wheel, pastics etc. Go to pick my car up and what you know there coating all over everything. This is not professional at all. Highly doubt I will be taking it back after this year because every year it's the same thing. It's dark so I can't get the rest of the wheels. But there's coating all over the insides of then all. Lol thanks for washing my car and leaving water spots all over it too. I didn't ask for you to touch the body of my vehicle. Now I have to drive around like this until they open back up on Monday. Should be ashamed of yourself. Don't even get me started with the customer service there. I don't know how you can hang on you're wall a 5 star Google review with work like this. Let's see how they are gonna fix this. Thanks for nothing bit wasted time and gas

There are places that are in it for just the business and there are places that are in it for the customers. Ziebart Albany is 100% in it for the customer. From the first phone call to pick up I was made a priority. Talked me through details over the phone, had an appointment the next day, walked around the car with me to explain in even more detail what would be done and even shuttled me to work. I was promised they would be done with all of the work (Diamond Package) by 3pm because I had a 4:15pm appointment & they kept their promise. They even picked me back up at work to bring me back to my car. When I got their they knew who I was and which car I had, walked me around my car to show me in detail what they did and walked me through all my paperwork. There was not one bad thing about this whole process & the car looked better than when I got it from the dealership new. I cannot say enough about this team at Albany!

I have spent thousands at this facility, a bulk of that was to protect my 2018 GMC Sierra. I purchased the rust proofing and undercoating when the vehicle was 2 years old, after the factory provided services were beginning to wear off. I recently found the bottom of my front doors are rotted through on my 7 year old vehicle. I brought the vehicle in for touch up of both services, annually ever year. This year I took it in for another touch up, after the vehicle was complete and ready for pickup, I brought the rot in the doors to their attention. The rust and rot was never brought to my attention even thought they perform a "Rust Inspection" according to invoices. They asked me to fill out a customer contact form, which I did weeks ago. I have contacted Ziebart customer service as well. Now all of a sudden there are some kind of warranty limitation to their services which were not explained or provided to me at the time of service. Apparently warranty is up to the local dealer and ziebart corporate just defers you to them. The local Albany store hasn't even contacted me after several emails asking for warranty details, how claims work etc. Ziebart's website make many claims about rustproofing and their "warranty includes unlimited mileage and coverage against road salt, sand and (normal) Road debris". In addition, "your dealer will determine if the rust in the area that has already been treated and can assist in correcting the problem before it gets any worse". Lastly "you can obtain the specific coverage details of your warranty by reviewing your original contract, by contacting your local Ziebart dealer, or by contacting Ziebart Customer Service" which just sends you back to the local dealer. I would strongly recommend that buyers beware. I was not provided any warranty details at the time of the initial purchase, only a receipt (I have them all). Now that there is a real problem (see pictures) I can't get any support for Ziebart as a whole, and have received ZERO responses from the local dealer. I think my next steps in the near future are going to have to be escalated either to BBB or legal measures.

BEWARE. For $399 you’ll be told they will “detail your car.” My car was “detailed” by the Albany location without them opening the hood, trunk, or gas fill. They provided the same poor service on my prior experience and sadly I purchased a block of 4 details from them. I feel you can find much much much better service elsewhere for this price level. You decide. Here are the pix. Btw, I emailed the manager 2x about the issues and received no response.

I couldn’t be happier with my Albany Ziebart experience. I brought my new pick up in to get undercoating since I had read good reviews. I was honestly blown away with A. The customer service - Kevin is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and I feel like he was really looking out for me and my vehicle. He really made the experience just a 15/10, I’m lucky to have worked with him and he made me feel like a part of the Ziebart family. I will be going there for decades to come. B. The quality of the work - My truck looked WAY better than brand new. I ended up getting the Diamond Gloss paint protection package as well as rust proofing and I’m so happy I did. The diamond gloss not only made the factory paint stand out so much more, the fender flares, the rims, etc all look so much better. Also the undercoating looks perfect. They did a great job! C. The warranties! - this might be the best part of going to Ziebart vs another body shop. All of their services are covered by warranty and you can get them touched up if there is an issue. I really felt like if I run into any problems I can just call Kevin and the team up and they’ll take care of it. That’s an incredible value. D. The convenience- I called for an undercoating estimate and had an appointment for the next morning. My truck was done by 4pm that day so in the automotive world a 24 hour turn around from scheduling to pick up is unheard of. I was thoroughly impressed by that as well. I know this is a long review, but I made sure to read all of the google reviews before giving Ziebart a call, so I wanted to make sure to leave a comprehensive review. I’ll include a picture of my finished truck below and overall I give the staff at Albany Ziebart a A++ and will continue to bring my vehicles and recommend them to anyone. If you’ve recently bought a new vehicle or want to make your old vehicle look new, I highly recommend you protect it by taking it here.

I would rate them 0 stars if possible. Last year I had put on diamond coat and rust proofing right after I purchased my car. At the time I was talked into getting at least a diamond coat, since I did not have the money for ceramic coat. I went in last Wednesday to the 1009 Central Ave Albany New York 12205 location for my yearly inspection for both and was grabbed by the salesman instead (one that sold products to me) and went out to inspect car. Then he brings me inside trying to sell me more. I was then told I now have to pay another 500 dollars to reapply diamond coat, and need to read warranty that says I have to pay to reapply. He had said then that he never said only apply once when he sold me it last year when he in fact did say that "you spray it once and then its done". I left car for rust proofing inspection and reapply of rustproofing. I came back to pick up car at 4:30pmnand the car was never cleaned as promised and the whole side of my car was sprayed with rust proofing. Also multiple dings and scratches left on car that were not there before services were done. Some of the scratches are deep down to the bare metal. I believe I was lied to and Ziebart was trying to get me to spend more money. When I said no they did this to my car so I would have to go back for more. The car is now a mess and needs body work for the said damage that Ziebart caused. I will never go back. And when i noticed the damage a short black gentleman came out with a spray bottle a sponge and a microfiber cloth to remove the undercoating overspray that was on the side of my car. And their corporate response when i reached out to corporate before posting this review, they told me to basically "get stuffed" if you catch my drift. I was to reach out to the business itself as each business is a franchise location. But the business response is to reach out to corporate and I'm sure they will give a phone number and an email which both belong to corporate in a response to this review. And before the phone number and email they will say they are sorry that I was disappointed with them and to give them a call all below this review. That is bull because what they did was uncalled for and unnecessary. There may even be more on and below my car that i am not aware of that will have to be repaired. All of this was caused by these absolute fools. Attached are just a couple of the photos i have of the damage these unprofessional hacks caused to my car. All of the damage was not there before it went in to their business. All because i denied 2 services, they went ahead and caused this damage to my car.

I purchased a 2015 vehicle in Florida this August. No rust or rot for the last 10 years. I had Ziebert do the undercoat on it. I got it back and the black protective coating spilled over on my running boards. I made my representative know about this. I was assured that it would be fixed up and it was. It was washed and buffed up very nicely. I hope I will have future success with the products and continued great customer service.

Got a spray in bed liner done on my truck and within a few months the coating chipped off. Without even looking at it, they insisted it wasn’t an installation issue and refused to recoat the area. Would not recommend.

I recently when to have my truck have the rust protection and undercoating done. I spoke with the salesman and we went over what I wanted done. He said they will tape and foil everything i dont want the product to get on . I removed my spare tire and all my wheel liners so they didnt get and product on them and also make it easier for them to tape and mask off everything. The Salesman wrote down And highlighted the notes of what i didnt want the coating on . I was told it would take 2 days bc I am having the "rust prevention" applied before the undercoat and needed 24 hours to dry . I was then called the next day to pick up my vehicle By the receptionist. I asked for the salesman to call me back bc it hasn't been 2 days. When he called he said there was a mix up and my truck won't be done until the next day . I stopped by on my way home and the truck was outside it looked done . I called the next morning and the receptionist said no the truck isn't done it still needs to have the undercoating applied. It should be dont between 4-5. 20 minutes later the salesman calls and said it was all set. I went down to pick up the truck and I was extremely disappointed. Everywhere I asked not to have the products ,had the products. I talked with the "shop foreman" and said this all need to be cleaned up. And showed him the paper with the highlighted notes that they ignored. i had undercoating on my engine, exhaust manifolds ,exhaust, driveshaft, electrical connectors every plastic wheel opening molding ,and all over the outside of my truck on the painted surfaces. And a 2 foot section on my frame was bare and didnt have any product. The forman said they will do their best to try to get it off everything and reapply it to the frame. I left the truck and called the next afternoon. I asked what the eta was so I can set up a ride to pick it up. They said its in line to be redone. I was called 3 hours later and ready for pick up . I showed up again and they only cleaned off the exhaust, drives haft and wheel opening moldings. The engine and connectors were still covered. The section of frame was still bare. They said i can leave the truck once again and clean it and reapply on the frame. I was so angry I told them im taking the truck and to adjust the price accordingly. On my way home the whole truck and windows were covered with the overspray. The smell of the burning product that is still on my engine and exhaust manifold filled the cabin of my truck . Now I have to have the whole truck detailed to get the coating off the painted surface and glass. Hopefully they can clean the exhaust and engine so the smell goes away. Its only a $60k vehicle. im very disappointed with the quality of this service and will not recommend anyone to go there . I read the reviews and I leaned towards the positive ones. That was my mistake . Goodluck if you choose to have it done.
