We started by browsing the Hyundai website to check pricing on a new Santa Fe. Not long after, I received a call from Woody Smith Hyundai. The salesman who reached out was low-pressure, informative, and simply suggested that if we were interested, we should stop by and ask for Will to take a look in person. Simple. Easy. For context: my wife and I have purchased or leased over 50 vehicles, BMW, Lincoln, VW, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, you name it. Only one dealership in all those years has ever come close to the experience we had at Woody Smith, and that was Murray BMW back when we bought 15 BMWs from them over a 12-year stretch. Woody Smith brought us right back to that level of service. We recently moved to Idaho Falls from Denver—just three weeks ago and we had a car about five months away from the end of its lease. Will greeted us with professionalism and genuine kindness. He took us on a test drive, talked through options for turning in our current car, and discussed leasing the Santa Fe. The entire visit, Including the test drive, took about 30 minutes. No pressure, no nonsense. ( for the record, Will is the Finance Manager) That evening, he texted me the numbers he was able to get for our trade. Again—zero pressure. I actually asked my wife, *“Is this real, or some kind of hoax?”* Nobody just lets you leave a lot without the usual hounding, manager theatrics, or endless back-and-forth. The next morning, I called Will and told him the price I wanted to be at. We weren’t far off, but far enough that many dealerships would have just tried to upsell or wear us down. Instead, he texted back the deal he could do. It was fair, straightforward, and I accepted. He took my information over the phone and called me back about 90 minutes later saying everything was ready. We went in, signed the papers, and Will offered to walk us through every feature in the car—but since we’ve owned so many vehicles and we’re tech-savvy, we told him we could handle it without taking more of his time. Done, done, and done. Would I recommend Woody Smith to anyone? YES and will recommend Woody Smith to everyone. I’m still shocked by how smooth and honest the whole experience was. No games. No pressure. No car-dealer clichés. Just real, professional business. Will couldn’t have approached this any better. Even more impressive? Their other dealerships reached out with information on other brands they sell—no hounding, no repeated calls—just the information I asked for. That alone is unheard of. I’ve got another car I’ll be trading in about six months. And I already know exactly where I’m going. Again and again. Amy and Arlen Felsen

On a one month trip from Pittsburgh PA, across the country for our retirement, we had a deer strike in montana. We were still able to drive our car as we got into Idaho falls, we found woody smith, hyundai. We pulled in and asked if he could get us in for an inspection and an oil change and he said, sure, half an hour, wait. They were so friendly and so helpful. We really did love them. Even gave us suggestions for places to eat and places to see as we traveled through their town. Total peace of mind for our vehicle for the rest of our trip.

Dealership could use a little better parking and facilities. We enjoyed working with the friendly staff but there was a lack of knowledge about specific car functions. Since we are first time Hyundai buyers, time will tell if the vehicle is reliable. If it is, we will come back to this dealership.

Bought a 2020 palisade $40k, been nothing but issues. Brought it day three of having it, brought it in many times after for a weird stutter feel in the peddle and rear end when taking left or right. Paid deductibles, so much wasted time. Inspection wasn’t done before I purchased it.(it was done when the last owner had it) Front end was bad. Rear shocks and struts are bad when purchased. Asked to have them looked at said they were fine. They kept saying nothing is wrong, it was my license plate rattling, can’t find anything. Took it in to Hyundai is Pocatello and sure enough. Rear coupler bad, They found metal shavings in the rear diff. Got it replaced. Rear struts HAVE been bad because of it. Coupler went out again days later Kia across the street has been great taking care of me getting this palisade fixed. Haven’t been happy since purchasing this vehicle. Unfortunately my ford explore I traded in with miles drove better than this. Won’t be purchasing a vehicle again from woody smith.

Hands down the best experience with a dealership we have had, EVER! My husband and I were prepared for the typical car dealership experience with pushy salesmen and trickery with paperwork, but it never happened. We had most communication over the phone, through texts, and calls. Our salesman, Zak, communicated with us constantly and answered every question we had even after business hours. I did not like the color of the seating in the vehicle we were looking at, so they brought in the exact Hyundai Santa Fe I wanted from Utah after hours and tinted the windows before any paperwork was signed. Zak went above and beyond what you would expect. Once we arrived from out of town to pick up our vehicle and sign paperwork, we met with almost everyone in the office, all kind and genuine. Our process took about an hour, and we were out the door. Later that evening, we were walking into a restaurant, and an employee of Woodysmith came up to us, congratulated us on our purchase. Told us more about our car’s features, and asked if we enjoyed our experience. Woodysmith Hyundai may be small, but their customer service is mighty!

I rarely leave a positive review for car dealerships, but Woody Smith really impressed me! I worked with Will Locke, and he was very straight forward with me. It's rare to go start to finish through a deal feeling there are no shenanigans, but we never felt any here. I always say, if a sales associate or finance manager say or do anything you don't like, just walk away! There's always a dealership out there that will treat you better. Here I felt Will backed up everything that he said. I expect they treat everybody the same way, which is a good way to feel. I recommend starting your process over the phone regardless of which kind of vehicle you are looking at. Avoid going in until you've made your mind up. Will was perfect! Thank you guys for treating us beyond fairly

A couple of weeks, I went down to Woody Smith.Hyundai in Idaho falls to get oil changed and the transmission oil changed in my car. I left and came home and as I turned off the main highway 20 I could hear a funny noise. I immediately stopped the car looked underneath a panel was dragging on the ground. Woody Smith had not secured the panel under where the oil was changed. We called the service manager and suggested they come and fix it. He said he'd get back in touch with us and he never has. I was without a car for 4 or 5 days and we decided to get it fixed ourselves. We took it to a body shop here , which cost us $402. We let the service manager know and sent the bill to him. He said he'd get back to us after they discussed it. They have done nothing. We are unhappy with their service.

Everyone we dealt with was accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable -not the usual pretentious condescending jerks. My salesperson even came in her day off!!
