Needed a dremel kit and unfortunately it was locked up in the display. No one is working the area so after 15 minutes of waiting I ask the front registers to please call someone and head back over to wait. This happens 3 additional times and not one employee shows up or offers to come open the cage since it’s not their area. Total of 45 minutes and couldn’t beg them to take my money. Guess they don’t need it.

I purchased a large order of life proof flooring from this company ran short and was informed that it's out of stock. When I originally purchased it from ho.e depot I was assured I would have no issues with future purchases if I ran short, your associates are misleading, untrustworthy and frankly no one should use your company due to issues just like this. Total failure on your part home depot.

I was having a tough day and came in looking for a seasonal item that wasn’t even on the floor yet. Instead of telling me it wasn’t available, Karen in customer service went out of her way to find it and make sure I could take it home that day. Her kindness and effort genuinely lifted my spirits!

A huge shout out to Matt in lumber and Karen that was working in garden today!!!! Matt took WAY more time that most people would, to help me and my daughter with our home project. He made a huge impression on her and made her dream become a reality. Enter him to win that $5000 gift card!!

Amazing employees!!! Beautiful Lighting!! Arriving shortly before closing, & in need of replacement lights for my older home's bathroom, I met two of the best employees of the Home Depot ever!! First one older gentleman stopped what he was doing to help me locate these beautiful light fixtures, climbed up a ladder, checked the prices, was so kind it was amazing service!! Then to help with what I needed a manager named Phil finished with answering my questions and helping me to purchase my items, without making me feel rushed! They both went above and beyond what a normal employee would do! I was so grateful when I left I even cried a little that there were such kind people who cared and were willing to show it!! Thank you Home Depot for hiring great people in Idaho Falls to run your store!!! (and for the beautiful light fixtures!!)

I am a frequent customer at the Home Depot on Holmes Avenue in Idaho Falls, and every visit leaves me impressed. The store is always clean, well-organized, and stocked with fair-priced items, making shopping an easy and efficient experience. What truly sets this location apart, though, is the outstanding customer service—especially from Joanne at the return and order pick up desk. Her positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine care for customers make all the difference. Every time I walk in, she makes me feel welcomed, appreciated, and respected as an individual. It’s rare to find someone who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience, and Joanne does just that. This Home Depot has earned my continued business thanks to its great staff, excellent organization, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Highly recommend!

My mom bought a new refrigerator, and it was delivered so damaged, with a ripped up cord and bent metal frame, that they couldn’t level it and we were scared of an electrical fire. They it away, and I t took almost two weeks for the replacement to arrive. The same delivery guys took it out of the box in the driveway, carried it into the house and gouged it on the door latch on the way in. The stainless steel refrigerator has a HUGE deep scratch all down the center of both doors now. My mom had to live out of coolers and buy ice for almost two weeks… she wasn’t going to do that again. Home Depot offered a small discount of this second refrigerator. I am disgusted. This is a woman who survived cancer, who has been kind and gracious, who accepted living out of cooler… Home Depot delivers two severely damaged refrigerators and left her without one for nearly two weeks, and they offered her $200?! Shame on them. Never buying anything from Home Depot again. It was terrible customer service.. once we got through the hour long wait to call, we would get transferred multiple times and no one we talked to seemed to have ever been trained. My mom should have been given this refrigerator for free. All of the stress and inconvenience, and the terrible quality of service and the audacity to deliver TWO severely damaged refrigerators over two weeks. Horrible store, horrible company, horrible service.

We purchased a freezer in July 18, 2025 we haven’t used the freezer yet. At this point we have two other freezers went to plug The freezer in noticed that the door had been installed improperly Home Depot changed the swing on the door. I called Home Depot to see about getting a tech back out to fix the door that they had installed Improperly they refused they said we only had 30 days for that even though they changed the swing of. The door. We’re going to have to find a tech to come out and make that adjustment. I wouldn’t purchase another appliance from Home Depot even though we’re satisfied with everything else there I guess you when some and lose some buyer, beware we paid $1000 for the freezer

Nobody is ever in the departments. Forget trying to get anyone on the phone as it always transfers to a disconnected call. The most help received every time is from the Milwaukee reps in store . The Milwaukee reps are always available and seem to know more than the Home Depot employees. There’s a guy in the morning that grabs carts . He’s amazing! Always greeting people and asking if they need anything .

I pre ordered a 12 ft skelly and when we got around to opening and setting it up we noticed the pelvis tail bone is all cracked and broken i called and they said they would return it but they didnt have any of the 12ft skellys left. We decided we would keep it. They offered us $30.00 for the damaged product. I said are you serious on $316.00 item? Ya thats all we can do. I said that's not even fair. It ended up being $50. The part that is damaged is where all the electronics are for skelly. I was hoping for around $75-$100. I wanted to share what happened to us.

Destiny at the Idaho Falls store was such a huge help today at the store. We needed the wood cut precisely and she was quick, exact and friendly. Great find hiring her.

Rarely have the tools you need or want. You would think the tools that sell the most they would keep in stock but that seems to not be the case. Better off ordering the tools. Half the registers are broken so going through lines will take you 15-30mins. Staff is friendly and mostly helpful.

The stock on line is always diferent then what is actually on the shelves. I have had many orders cancle because online said they have some but the shelve was empty. There are holes all over the store, nobody ever down stocks until a customer needs what ever isn't on the shelves. A total inconvenience considering if you do find someone its never their section. When I was a kid and worked at Home depot in high school I was told all departments were mine I just specialized in my section. They said learn all section if you can, it makes it easier and quick to helping customers and it would be less frustrating fo me. I guess managmet at this location just dosent have wait it takes like my manager back then. Its sad to say but Lowes is the over all winner in this town. At least they have people in store to help if you do have a question.

There was a young man by the name of Nate, who took the time to help me well above and beyond what his job is. I was very impressed with his understanding of the products he was helping me with and even more impressed when he didn’t know but was able to work through it and figure out exactly what I wanted. If anyone is ever in the Idaho falls location and are in need of someone who can think on his feet and problem solve, just ask for Nate! Best customer service I’ve ever received from any store. And I promise you that no one at their biggest competitor would have done all of that to help me.

They have the products I need most of the time. I have had good and bad experiences with order pick up from the store. I don’t know if it’s company wide or just this location. Every time I have been in the store I have found it hard to find any employees to help me out. This isn’t uncommon for big corporate box stores, including a lack of employee knowledge in their department. I would still choose Home Depot over Lowe’s but this store is meh and the company in general is meh.

We just waited close to thirty minutes attempting to check out... while this is by far the worst checkout experience we have had, it is not the first for a long wait. There was one worker at staffed checkouts. And one at self checkouts, on a Friday afternoon (high volume day). The one at self checkout was in an arm sling, and left by himself to man the self checkouts. Which, ended up terribly. He paged for backup, and it took 20 minutes for backup to appear. We left and tried to checkout elsewhere due to our machine freezing and getting no assistance for 15 minutes. Only to have to return, as the other checkout station was understaffed as well. The manager apologized, but in the future, leaving an employee with medical needs unassisted on a busy afternoon is not advisable. We almost left everything and walked out.

I've had nothing but great experiences over the past 2 1/2 decades at this Home Depot location. Recently I had to do a partial kitchen remodel in my home and had the pleasure to work with Bailey Crapo, the head Kitchen and Bath designer. She was friendly, knowledgeable & responsive and overall invaluable with helping me decide on my new cabinets, counter top and flooring. Thank you Bailey!

I tried using Home Depot for the first time for built-in cabinets for my home, which is an hour and a half drive away from HD, versus using a local business, as I was on a tighter budget and didn’t need high-end cabinets. The design specialist I spoke with over the phone and met with was very friendly and helpful. Where I began to be disappointed was how long the process took in Design -I was not given a clear understanding of the number of decisions that I needed to make, how many times I would need to go back to Home Depot To meet with the same design specialist, and how each of those decisions and visits would impact the overall timeframe. (I would highly recommend that Home Depot create a flow chart to help customers understand that.). The designer told me that they have great installers. The installers were communicative, and very friendly. But they did not center or level some of the Cabinet handles. They also did not show respect for my furniture, putting boxes on couches. And because I was not told I would have to move an electrical outlet, they had to make a second trip to finish installation. I also found out durinv installation that the upper cabinet doors which opened upwards would not stay open as they were meant to, which was a design Oversight. I reached out to Home Depot- It was hard to get to the manager I needed, and when I did, HD did not take responsibility for these issues or Apologize (Other than saying they were sorry I was not satisfied), which leads me to believe that Home Depot does not have basic standards, or they follow a different sort of customer service Protocol.

Home Depot in Idaho Falls is pretty much what you’d expect from any Home Depot—reliable, well-stocked, and convenient. It has all the standard selections for home improvement projects, tools, garden supplies, and more. The layout is familiar, making it easy to find what you need quickly. Nothing particularly unique compared to other locations, but that’s part of the convenience—you know what you’re getting every time.
