It's a great store, with good prices and a nice bulk food section; though I have been frustrated in the self-check. It doesn't matter whether theyre busy or not, you'll get a scolding if you have 17 rather than 15 items, and they'll make you go to a regular register to get rung up.

I usually never have problems but I had 18 items to check out in the self check laine and they kicked me out of my line because it's 15 items only. I was in a hurry and could not wait in the longer lines. Had to take my business elsewhere.

I'm curious why they took out the device that customers used to advance their groceries to get to the bagging area. Winco...can you tell me. Or is this just something Las.Vegas did? It really helped. Especially when the cashier wasn't paying attention. I had to walk down & scoop all of my items down to the bagging area.

Went to Winco to pick up a few things just now. I have to say the cashier was very kind. Her screen froze up and she was very sincere and apologetic because it took a few minutes to reboot. We chatted alittle while waiting and I’m so glad I went through her line. Thank you Sheila! You made my day and you made me smile! We need more cashiers like you! I’m coming through your line every time now! 😊

Always food and drinks on sale. Plenty of milk and eggs and bread for the next apocalypse. TP too. The checkout lanes take a bit to get through but overall 4 out of 5.

We always enjoy WinCo! Unfortunately, today the bag of mandarin oranges we bought had 5 extremely overripe and icky oranges in it. Not our usual occurrence in this store as the produce is normally above average

The checker overseeing the self checkout machines pushed me aside, saying he had to ring up my purchases by hand. He did and tried to over charge me $20. Then, ordered me to go to a staffed checkout line because it would be 'easier' (for him, as there were 10 people in line for the one checker). When I refused he threatened to call a manager. Finally, I got him to leave me alone so I could correctly ring up my own purchases.

Unbelievable, employee named Pam had nothing better to do than to sit and count every single item in our cart. Only a couple cashier lanes were open, long long lines… no one waiting at express and we had 18 items (limit was 15) she said we had to leave and could not check out there. Understandable IF any one was waiting or there was a line but there wasn’t. WAY TO REPRESENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, over 3 lousy items! Just ridiculous. How about jumping on a lane to help clear the long lines instead of sitting and being a power hungry item counter! Terrible.

I just visited WinCo Foods and had a great experience. The prices were amazing, and the selection was even better. It was easy to find everything I needed, and the store was well-organized. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop for groceries!

My two daughters and I were shopping late-we love the bulk section! We were using one shopping cart for all our items. (Ridiculous, I know...) When it was time to check out apparently everyone else that was shopping had the same idea and the ONE register was backed up with a huge line! So we foolishly went to the self check out where there was NO LINE. We got a chuckle out of the 27 signs saying '15 Items' leading up to the registers but none of us had more than 15 items. We started ringing up one of our orders and the other two were getting our things out to take to a different register. Suddenly the self checkout officer was upon us! I dont know her name but I'd definitely know her face because she gets two inches from your face!!! She says we cant check out because we have too many items. I explain we have 3 different orders and we are going to the other open registers. NO!!! you cannot come in here like that in one cart!! Why WOULDNT we share a cart?! So we have to go get two more carts just to check out? NO!!!! You cannot do that at the register. She cancels what my daughter already rang up. And tells us we have to go. Keep in mind there's NO ONE else at self check out. So I said maybe we just dont need any of this stuff anyway and we'll just leave it. She says, If that's what you want to do. Really Winco? I can understand an item limit, but not sharing a cart? Also why do you care if there's adequate registers open? What happened? Who hurt you!? And does anyone know of a different place to get bulk items? Im really sick of that lady in my face!!!

Be prepared for long lines in check out esp during peak times. If you've never been to a Winco, no credit cards accepted, you bag your own groceries. Generally good produce and bulk section.

What makes a shopping experience feel high value? Definitely not a company who is more worried about suspecting their shoppers of theft then the ease and experience of their shoppers. While i do appreciate winco prices recently its given me the ick shopping there and id rather go to costco or walmart where they make shopping feel easy. Im 7 months pregnant in my sunday attire ie. impractical heels and starting to get blisters(my fault) shopping for a friend who went through a medical emergency and definitely not feeling great myself.the normal chashier lines were more than filled so with approximately 20 items in my cart i wait a bit in line for self check as i proceed to a register im confronted and told to go wait in the other lines and told if i proceeded they would stop my machine because corporate was watching him and me to make sure thefts dont happen!! Like me super pregnant in heels could run very far even if i was someone to steal!!! Why am i being treated as a suspect and not a valued customer. I started crying because im pregnant and tears really dont need an explanation when im pregnant . But who cares! Definitely not the employee.I dont want special treatment cause i decided to wear dumb shoes or because im pregnant. It would however be nice to be treated as a valued customer and not a potential thief. I shop at winco at least once a week purchasing all my groceries here and more than a few times have felt undervalued with employees pushing their bit or authority around. So please care a but about who shops at your store

Justin, at the self checkout, needs a lesson in customer service. My friend and I shared a cart to shop, I had 11 items and she had 9. There we 2 open registers side by side, perfect! Except Justin counted my cart and I explained we were checking out separately. He said we had to be in separate carts.. So my friend went to grab a hand basket just to shut him up and I went to start my transaction. This guy tells me we can't separate our items at the register. He wanted us to go out, separate and come back, and if I start ringing up he will turn off my machine. What on earth? I asked for his manager, her name was Amanda. While he was gone, getting Amanda, both my friend and I got our stuff rang up. Manager came over but seemed confused as to why she was even there, what a waste of a managers time. Justin held up the line and wasted my time just to be a Karen. I do hope he gets at least a conversation about how to treat customers. This was mid day, no line. Maybe this position isn't the right one for him, if your going to be customer facing learn how to treat people.

Good prices but the staff have major attitude problems. Like moved by cart without asking. Won't let you in the short check out line if you are one item over the 15 or 20. Like even if there's no one there and there's 6 available. Super frustrating. They are just really rude, like calm down you work at a grocery store lol...

Great! Best prices. Although I didn't get a turkey because they were more expensive than Walmart although they do have a free turkey deal (buy $125 it more). Oh and the scanning part of the register is disgusting. I ended up buying a ham and they don't let you use self checkout with a turkey or ham.

Me, my mom, and my older sister were grabbing a few items from Winco and because we shared a cart we couldnt use self checkout and were kicked out. It was 11:00 at night and the store was almost empty, we each had less than 15 items and were paying separate but using separate registers when the check out lady kicked us out. Not only that but she tried to tell us it made sense to kick us out and not let us buy the items because we didnt have separate carts. She stalks other people and gets way to close to people's faces. This is genuinely not okay and is honestly a little creepy. The ladies job is not to send customers away when people are following policy just not in the way she likes.

Great prices. Usually so busy and takes forever to check out but this last visit was great. Even during Thanksgiving craze. With prices skyrocketing everywhere for groceries you have to smart about where you shop. Had a cart load of food for 150 bucks. That at wallmart would have been 300 easy. Will be back.

Today, two days before Christmas, 12/23/2025 just after 4:00pm, my grandmother and I were standing in the line for the self checkout. She is 88 years old with arthritis, balance and mobility issues and walks with a cane. She asked if she could set her few items in my cart to give her hands a break while we waited. I said of course. We were next in line and the guy running the self checkout made it very obvious that he was counting the items in my cart. He told us we had too many and needed to leave the line. I replied that my grandmother was just using my cart while we wait but that her stuff is separate. He replied that we cannot split a cart. I told him I understood and that we were not intending to use the same checkout but that we would use separate. I handed my grandma her items to hold and he was still adamant that I had to leave the line even though I had exactly 15 items without hers in the cart. He repeated that we could not split the cart. I said fine, and told my grandma to go ahead and I'll see her at the front. As I walked away I heard her ask if he would help her with the kiosk and he said no, I don't have time to help you. He also insisted that she leave the self checkout. She had three items. Three... I've never been treated so rudely and I've never seen an employee be so rude and inconsiderate to an elderly person ever. We weren't trying to "cheat the system" and heavens forbid a granddaughter help her grandma do a little shopping. We then had to go stand at the back of another extremely long line. I wish I had just walked out and left my few things right there in my cart.

Customer service is great but most of what I was looking for was pricey. Could find lower prices at Walmart.

I'm a first time shopper. WinCo had the food items I was looking for. The produce was fresh. The prices are good. I have no problem with the policy of only cash or debit card. I'm definitely going to be a regular customer.
