Got kick out of this Walmart lady almost hit and my son I got out about to go into Walmart she calls me a racial person not knowing how I can be when I have a black child both of my boys are black and other names cops told me to get out this Walmart has really gone down hill been going there for 34 years it’s crazy people can steal or do anything else but I have to be kicked out

The person who was doing self checkout took forever to help the customers that needed help and taking her sweet time... I was randomly selected for bag check doing the Walmart scan and pay and the lady took over 4 minutes just to acknowledge me granted other customers who were waiting had to get her attention. I would've left the store even though I paid for all my items. It's not my problem that the employee takes too long or can't do her job efficiently.

Walmart Supercenter in Newport News have friendly and helpful employees. This store is well-stocked and clean. The store also has a great selection of organic food. New organic products are added regularly.

This place was a MESS!!! No lanes open but self checkout, and one employee working there not paying attention to anything. The plants section was so sad! So many dead plants, being sold at full price. They had a bulb bin that was so old most of the words were not legible. Some of the packages were completely empty, and some the bulbs were completely dried out and rotten.

The staff at the store are mostly helpful. The problem is that the parking lot sidewalks and floors inside of the store are always dirty. Bathrooms are terrible!

Tried to call the store in Newport News across from Sam’s Club after leaving a bag at the front of the store by accident .I tried every available option on the phone menu and not one line was answered in the entire store. I tried for 45 minutes and no answer and no response. I was able to drive up there and luckily find my bag. It is ridiculous that not one person could answer the phone. Phone customers are just as important as in person. If I was checking the availability of an item and could not get through I am definitely going to take my business to a place that has customer service in person as well as on the phone. I’m pretty sure the store was not empty of associates at 5:30 pm. The corporate phone line was useless as well. Mr Sam would be so disappointed in how his business has gone down hill.

Worst walmart I've ever been in. Nasty, rude cashiers just awful , don't even deserve 1 star. Run down. Trash all over floors. Restrooms were worser than a porta toliet. Not recommended. Process are not marked correctly on aisles. Nothing in clearance area was on clearance. Awful 😖

The facility is clean & organized. Friendly & helpful Associates when you find one. When looking for an item. I was having a difficult time looking for a Colorful Wall covering(removeable vinyl wall contact paper.) I asked the lady can she help me? The associate look at an app in her phone. I didn't know the exact name of it. However, she were patient until she found something close to it. She escorted me to it. It was some window cling. I only saw one. I needed two. However, I made it work. Thank you for proving good customer service, still exist...

I shop Walmart all the time and I am satisfied with what I purchased. I buy clothes, groceries, toiletries, household products and toys. They have a great return policy and I never have any problems. I have even gotten prescriptions from Walmart too. Thank you for being an all around store. Pamela

As a shopper,.they have everything i need and tend to be stocked better than alot of the walmarts in the area. Ive found hardware supplies that i couldnt find at other walmarts, and they tend to have less shelves that are srocked incorrectly than the ones at other stores. It is not a perfect store by any means, but most of the 1 star reviews are shining examples of the entitled and idiotic mindsets many people in hampton roads tend to have. I heard a customer recommend to a walmart associste that they but a birdbath in the outdoor garden area....smh. Im glad ill be leaving this area for a while soon.

Shopping here is completely humiliating and embarrassing. Have to hit a button or have to go find someone to come unlock the door. Then wait up to hours for someone to come open a door. Then the employee holds onto your boxers, T shirts, shaving products, etc until you get to a main cash register so that the employee can announce it all over the intercom just for another employee to bring your items to you. Walmart needs to discontinue the self checkout registers. Where majority of the theft is happening at and mandate the primary and garden section registers. Theft rates will drop. I’m not shopping here no more until they fix their issue. I should be able to come in grab and pay for my undergarments without humiliating/embarrassing staff assistance.

Mrs. Patricia is a phenomenal employee! She helped my family in the electronics department and was extremely friendly. We left out with big smiles, and great laughs. The other employees who I believe are with a separate electronics company were extremely nice as well! 10/10 recommend this Walmart for electronics!

I have been going to this location for years. Recently, the staff have been exceptional. They assisted me when I needed it and answered all my questions. Dealt with rather unfriendly customer while I was there in a calm manner. I will continue to go here. Oh, they have charging stations for electric cars at this location.

I ordered two cakes ahead of time to be ready this Saturday around 8. The time was available and it went through. Luckily I checked the website today, they changed it to a week out. That is not the first time that something like that has happened. I spent 60 something dollars on a cake for my son’s birthday, they never made it and I could not get ahold of no one in the bakery area. I did end up getting my money back, but I was very upset, because it was perfect for the theme of the party. No notification, nothing. You have to do everything online, you can’t even request it in person… I’m not going to them again, I’m done.

The grocery pickup experience is decent. We go weekly and it's rare we have to wait more than 10 minutes. This is quicker than shopping ourselves. Downside is you can't pick out your own produce but still worth the time saving and convienence.

I’ve experienced excellent service and reasonably priced goods at this store since moving to Kiln Creek 15 years ago! Thank to the pharmaceutical staff for always taking care of me and my family, to the associates who always welcome me at the front door, to the associates at photo services, and all the associates who work hard to keep this store stocked, organized, and clean. For the review about locked goods, it’s only a small section compared to other stores where multiple rows have locked items, including toothpaste. Please understand this is not a large inconvenience.

This store is a little better than some of the others in the area. Two chief complaints on this trip: 1) perishable food items were sitting out at room temperature at Customer Service. How long had they been out? Were they still safe to eat? 2) In the Shoe dept, I didn't see any prices on the boots, or on the boxes for the boots, or on the shelves for the boots. I'm not going to wait until I get to the cash register to find out how much they are; I just won't buy them.

Large, older store, appears severely understaffed. Long lines waiting with 2 of 12 cashiers open& 2 of 8 self check-out machines working. There is someone cleaning one checkout area very thoroughly. This place gives a new definition to the word ‘slow’.
