The staff is amazing. I wish I could remember the woman’s name who helped me. I work nearby and had my bike stolen from right in front of Ulta (someone cut the lock) and I was in a total panic, came in crying asking if their video camera caught anything. She checked but it wasn’t pointing at the right bike rack. Luckily I found my bike and got it back with the help of HPD. The next day I went to work and locked my bike up (with even stronger locks of course) and noticed they had changed the angle of one of their cameras to point right at the bikes! Just so thoughtful and sweet and they obviously wanted to be able to help if that ever happened again. I don’t wear makeup or do much beauty stuff but I’ll be in there getting some shampoo or nail polish or something because they deserve my business. Thank you guys for caring!

Thank you to Jordan, beauty consultant. I came in to specifically get assistance in color match for a Lancôme foundation. She selected shades and found the perfect match. Concealer, lip shade, dual application brush. Everything I wanted. Perfect.

It was a horrible experience. Three product carts right when you're coming in. No way to have a look inside. The very intense smell of perfume made me cough and a young girl right away jumped at me "What are you shopping for today?" Okay, so I was looking for something specific which was online by the company pretended to be available there. It was not. The girl "Anything else you want to shop for?" Nope, thank you! Usually, I go into a store, browse, look around and somehow I find something. Not so here because they won't let you look around, they're pushing themselves onto you and directly out of the store. Well, good luck with that.

If you’re gonna get your hair done go to Slay! I went in to retouch my pink and I loved loved LOVED how he attended me. He has very soft, gentle hands. I was so relaxed, I was trying not to fall asleep in my chair. Very therapeutic. And he’s very sweet! I was so happy with my experience that I’m looking forward to coming back again! Thank you!💖💖💖

They always have what I need and have extremely helpful staff. Natalie is so kind and patient. I’m a middle-aged woman who has never been good with makeup. Natalie helped me choose eyeliner, mascara, etc all in my price range. She was so sweet and full of great ideas. She didn’t act like I was silly for asking. She’s a gem!!

Went there to get some foundation and powder. The lady who helped me get color matched was sooooo sweet and knew what she was doing sorry I didn’t get her name. Then went to check out with Victoria who is so very friendly professional and such a nice person to talk to!!!! They all are great at this location but, Victoria truly represents the Ulta brand 100% and she’s so lovely and nice since I’m moving I’m sorry to say I won’t be back to say hello.

Regular ulta customer around the island, but my experience tonight was frustrating. I’ve been tracking a product that I need for weeks on the Ulta app to see which stores had in stock. The Kailua one consistently had it listed as available in store for weeks. I needed this product as I was about to travel, so I toughed it out and drove all the way from Leeward to Windward side after work to grab the product. I found the designated shelf but they didn’t have any left on display, so I asked one of the workers if there was any in the back. She looked at what I was asking for and immediately said “ I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen that here before” even though there’s literally a labelled section for it?? She was pleasant enough and said that she was going to double check. She briefly walked to the front and I heard her say the wrong brand name and then quickly came back and told me they didn’t have it, which I expected from her initial reaction. I’m frustrated because of the extra hour and a half I had to drive only for the product to not be there when it was listed online as in stock for WEEKS. I can’t blame the employee for the website, but please have it accurately reflect what items are in stock. In this case, I don’t really know whether it really was out of stock or if she just didn’t look for it properly.

I frequent ultra and everyone is so attentive but not annoying so I decided to inquire with the salon in highlighting. Made an appoint and returns week later. Sly was my hairdresser and he was the so accommodating and friendly. I showed him a picture of what I was aiming for and then he got busy. I trusted he could pull it off and after 4.5 hours and $300 I walked out anxious to see what was really going on, I didn’t feel good about it but waited to get home and inspect. It looked and felt dull and lifeless. I couldn’t run my fingers through, no shine or bounce but a little stiff in areas he hairs prayed. I usually can camouflage a bad color or cut my hair is just that versatile. I was so nervous cause the looks of it wasn’t good. The next morning washed, condition, treatment, gloss and 3 hours in front of mirror, I started to cry. I color and highlight get frequent trims so my hair is basically healthy, I get compliments all the time. Was I expecting more from the prices? Of course! No highlights! it looks like the bleach blended and gave me a brassy color, I can’t even curl it cause the damage won’t take the curl. Sly was the sweetest thing I truly appreciate him and wouldn’t complain but because I paid $300 and will go to my regular hairdresser to see if she can help me that just too much $$ and time to not say something. 😫😳😩

I got a haircut and moroccan oil treatment yesterday by Marissa. The treatment literally left my hair feeling brand new, and Marissa was very thorough with figuring out how i wanted my hair cut. I have very thick, long hair, so many stylist give me a ton of layers even when I've asked them not to. But Marissa gave me exactly what I wanted and was also very sweet!
