Took a chance today (09/22/2024) and purchased a membership online before visiting the location (Sam Rittenberg). No complaints. Attendant was super friendly and explained the car wash set up to me. Wish I would have got her name but it was around 2:30ish. Car came out looking great. Vacuums worked well and love that glass cleaner is provided. I'll give an update after a few months.

I went for the first time today, and I had a really nice experience. I went in the middle of the day on a Wednesday, and it wasn’t terribly busy. I did a one time $12 basic wash. The staff member at the entrance was very nice. The vacuum on one side of my car wasn’t super powerful, but the one on the other side was very impressive! The floor-mat cleaners were working. There were plenty of towels for me to use to clean my car.

I want to give a special shout out to a very special person at Time to Shine. Her name is Jasmine. I live close by so I come to this car wash location several times a week. Every time I see Jasmine working, she makes me smile. She is so enthusiastic, bright, and cheerful. These qualities are hard to find nowadays. She makes something as simple as getting your car washed feel like an elevated experience! Jasmine, you put the SHINE in Time to Shine. I wish you all the success in life!

My first time was such a fun experience. You have a gem named Pooh working at the Sam Rittenburg location who was fun and one heck of a Time to Shine spokesman. He sold me on getting a monthly pass.

I have been a customer at this car wash for quite some time, but today’s experience was very disappointing. The way I was treated was inappropriate. I was not allowed to use the machine to wash my vehicle’s floor mats and was told I had to use the manual brush instead. The employee who assisted me was rude and disrespectful. I truly regret this situation, as this was a place I used to visit regularly. However, after what happened today, I will not be returning to this location, even though it is close to my home.

I’ve been here three times and unfortunately bought a membership. The one on Sam Rittenberg has taken paint off of the hood of my car and every time I go through at least black streaks on my mirrors that I have to scrub off. Do not go here when I explain this to management, they shrugged it off like it was nothing. I have a brand new 2024 car and now my paint is rubbed off and there’s black marks and paint torn off my car from just being here 3 times.

The wash itself has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes the wheels will get some spray on them and sometimes I have to take the car back thru for minor dirt it missed. The one thing I can say that makes me return every time is the customer service. They are spot on. The one young man from the Citadel is the sweetest thing. He is so sweet and friendly. He is the major reason that I will always return!

I got a free car wash here with a coupon. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They have large open spaces for your car to be vacuumed out. They also have expressed detail free vacuums and all kinds of different memberships. Great and friendly service. Would recommend!

Y’all I have officially met my most favorite ever customer service employee in America. Her name is Miss Jasmine and she is just the sweetest most enthusiastic girl I’ve ever seen at work. She helped me out with car wash options and I explained to her because my car has no protection cover on the bottom of my car to cover all of the parts that last time I came my car broke down and I really wanted to use the vacuums and was willing to pay. The cheapest car was here is $12 and I was willing to pay that because they have the best vacuums in Charleston. As I was about to pay she said “you know what just go ahead” and handed me a paper with info on joining monthly and how I could get a free car wash if I wrote a review. I’m not writing a review for the free car wash but for jasmine because everyone should know how genuinely sweet this employee is. I made sure to use the vacuums quick since I didn’t pay but I will be joining monthly membership because of their vacuums and because she truly brightened my day

I want to begin with the fact that I would appreciate a response to this review. I have frequented this Time to Shine location many times and have ran into the same recurring issues over and over again. The manager James and his staff are great, but I have consistently had issues with a staff member named “Alicia,” apologies if I misspelled her name. She has loaded me a handful of instances and constantly leaves zero separation between cars, doesn’t look my direction at all as if she couldn’t have a care in the world while “loading” the car, and she always has a bad attitude while screaming on the phone as she replenishes towels. I can confirm that this Alicia has been the root issue of all my problems as when I described her to another female member of staff, she stated her name was Alicia. This woman makes me thankful I wasn’t suckered into purchasing a membership, because why would I want to deal with her abrasive attitude towards customers more frequently. I hope her behavior is addressed and I have feeling that I am not the only patron that feels this way. Again, the manager James is so kind, keep up the great work sir! Thank you for hearing out my situation.

I would like to update the review I posted a few months back. The manager contacted me. It took a while because of a miscommunication. He adjusted the tire shine, which fixed my problem/ black specks after washing is not happening anymore! I am going back to this car wash and appreciate the service & communication that I received. I purchased the monthly package because of the convenient location. There were little black rubber marks everywhere on my car as I was drying it off. I went back a second time & it happened again. When I asked attendant about it, she said yes, you can rub those out & it only happens with white cars. I tried contacting manager through email and did not receive a response. Worst car wash ever.

Last 3 or 4 times I came here the tire shine doesn’t work. They can charge my card just fine but they don’t deliver the product they are charging for. Classic bait and switch scam business tactics. I used to like this car wash. Shame they are going the way of all the other trashy car washes around town.

Disappointed in the removal of the window cleaner bottles. The new dispenser, which was not working, is not a good idea. It may save money but not user desired. The parking area on both sides by the vacuuming stations were covered in radiator coolant. That is a safety issue making shoes slippery on the walk area and in my vehicle on the rubber brake and gas pedals. The area was also not clean. Putting up new signs and fancy lights does nothing for what I am paying for.

Im notva fan of the removal of spray bottles. The window cleaner dispenser thing might be a cost saving measure but it doesn't take into account you may need more for a window and sry who wants to walk back and forth to wet a towel plus not to mention it really doesn't help those like me whom are disabled but use your business. Especially since I have a membership. I do like that yall now have a cleaner available but again the walking back and forth not a good thing. And tbh I may have to rethink my membership

I go to this car wash frequently - or I used to. The price has increased to $15 for the basic wash and they removed the spray bottles with the nice smelling cleaner which is super frustrating. I definitely don't want to walk back and forth across the parking lot to get a new spray of "cleaner" (didn't have any cleaner scent, and my windshield was super streaky after so I'm pretty sure it was just water) on my towel each time. Could stomach the price increase if they hadn't taken this feature away. Definitely won't be back unless this goes back to the way it was. Also, the super high pressure sell from the guy at the credit card kiosk really didn't help (way more than they used to). Glad he didn't talk me into it - because I would have been especially peeved if I had signed up and realized about them not have cleaner available.

I've been to probably every car wash place around town...this company and specific location have been the most consistent in terms of overall quality and customer service. Occasionally I may go somewhere else but I always find myself returning to a monthly membership here. James is the current GM and he really leads with excellence!

‘24 Ram 2500 they say my trucks too wide, & rims don’t fit their car wash (only 33x12.5s with 2” spacers, nothing too crazy) left with soap in my grill, had it on the hood also, but they wiped that off, couldn’t rinse grill bc their hose has soap in it. 🙄 1 star, glad I opted to not get a membership. Waste of money for me. Maybe ppl that drive little cars will like it. My truck still dirty on the sides, & left with soap in the grill. 🤦🏽♂️🫤😔
