I took my German Shepherd to this grooming location on February 8, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the groomer appeared visibly insecure and even admitted to being afraid of large dogs. Unlike other places where groomers take the time to interact with the dog, offer treats, and create a positive experience, this didn’t happen here. Just 14 minutes after dropping her off, I received a text asking me to pick her up because they claimed she attempted to bite the groomer. They didn’t try to finish the service, suggest a muzzle, or even give her a bath—just canceled everything. This was shocking because my dog is the sweetest, not only with family but also with groomers. She has been going to Petco (San Jose CA ) for grooming since she was six months old (she’s now 1.9 years old), and we’ve never had any issues. Groomers always tell us how well-behaved and gentle she is. She has never attempted to bite anyone in her life. After this experience, we decided to take her to PetSmart, and the difference was night and day. Their groomers are very professional, explaining their techniques at every step while carefully approaching the dog to ensure comfort and trust. They even cut her nails—guess what? No problem at all! It was a great experience, and it reassured us that our dog is well-behaved when handled by professionals who understand large breeds. If you have a large breed, I’d recommend finding a groomer who is comfortable and experienced with them.

We've dealt with this location for a while now; they do a great job- with the only issue that they're understaffed on a kinda consistent basis. Other than my pity to the staff on a bad day, great store that I and my spouse with continue to shop at.

7/5/2024 Petco delivered a large bag of Dog Food. Note was clearly posted on door with Delivery request. I asked to ring bell and help to get inside the door. I am a Senior, recovering from surgery. Not to lift anything. Ring camera shows him dropping bag, reading note and taking pic to document Delivery was complete, then leave. I have no words for this.

This is a great place to go if you have a cat or a dog but if you have a rabbit their selection is sparse and minimal. I am often unable to find what I am looking for and generally have to order my rabbit care items offline such as treats food hay etc. In addition to their sparse selection their habitats are grossly misinformed and they do not promote a positive free roam environment for bunny owners, marketing incredibly small cages as a suitable habitat for rabbits. Confined cages for rabbits are simply unacceptable if you are going to be a bunny owner and should look at getting a proper enclosure or bunny proofing your home so that they can free roam. #falseadvertisement #misleading #bunnyhabitats

Horrible experience trying to check out to get the -20% off. Had to jump thru hoops online. It Wouldnt recognize my phone #. Even staff couldnt help. Finally one went to another register n did an override! Had to have spent an Extra Half hour just trying to check OUT! Spent OVER $100 WITH the discount.

This shop is usually good, but I get disappointed time and time again by trying to get Reptile Food. Especially mealworms and Dubia Roaches. The quality is poor, most are usually dead, and I've had to look elsewhere to get food from. Most other things here are good, but this is not the spot for quality reptile food.

Buyers beware - when buying large quantities, you may be overcharged. Check your receipt before leaving the store! I purchased 30 items today but was charged for 37. I even grouped like items together to make it easier to count - but still the cashier counted wrong. So that cost me $8.10 + tax. Looks like it’ll be Chewy for me from here on out! These mistakes are too costly!

They used to have better selection of pet supplies. It may be the tariffs, but the prices also keep going up and are astronomical. But the stores are usually clean well stocked and staff is friendly and helpful.

Saturday I took my lil Jolene in for her first grooming. She is normally very shy to new people. But the girls had her tail wagging the entire time she was there. I don't remember the groomers name, but she was absolutely wonderful with my lil girl. I highly recommend their services, I will definitely be returning in the future. The entire staff that I have delt with in my trips there are very knowledgeable of their products and services.

Poor service overall. Only 2 people here at 6pm. Had one employee in the back pet room for the entire 40 mins I was waiting to get help. The other lady was the cashier, and was in the back of the store leaving the entire front of the store and the cash register alone. 5 people walked out as they could not get help. That same lady got verbally mad when I asked if they are hiring, saying she doesnt get paid enough and doesnt get enough hours as it is. I can see why... Seems like they needed the help. Leaving the entire store at risk for theft and ignoring the need of the customers. Unacceptable.

I’m a “Frequent Flier “ at my Petco now that it is relocated to a shopping center near my home! Staff is friendly and they always have all that I need. Their grooming service is excellent, Tyler, pretty’s up my fur baby. I also find the self bathing area useful for those days when the muddy play time can’t be controlled. Great stor!
