Over the last couple weeks i've been in and out of what feels like too many auto parts stores to finish a project on an old truck. I've been to NAPA and the other typical players. In my view, the staff at NAPA stores have been the most helpful and knowledgeable. They make the other stores seem more like big box stores versus real auto part stores. The NAPA website is pretty good as well. If I had one complaint it is that NAPA seems to take the route of selling mostly NAPA branded products and there are no user reviews on the website. Like most, i like to make sure what i'm buying is something others felt was a good product. So I am often skeptical to purchase some items without the benefit of knowing who manufactures it. That said, so far, my experience with the products purchased has been good.

The only reason I finished my transaction here was because of Zach. If he's not there I typically have a less than stellar experience. The staff are polite and professional enough, but aren't nearly ass knowledgeable and don't ever seem as interested in wanting to help.

This is my favorite parts store part of that is because this branch does most of its business with mechanics and shops, not the public. This means they are rarely busy. The only downside is that they usually don't carry quite as much inventory as the Warman's Mill branch. Also, is you're looking for isles and isles of air freshness, floor mats, steering wheel covers, etc. Then this is not the particular branch for you; they have a small showroom and very large parts warehouse. However, most all the staff have been with the company for a number of years, they are friendly and knowledgeable.

Carolina is great! She took an extra step and helped me out a lot. She contacted somehow she knows that would know how to get the parts I need for my car. (I also came in 30 minutes before close)

Excellent customer service! I needed windshield wipers that would fit my old car and an employee went above and beyond to make sure I got wipers that would fit my car. I wish I would have gotten her name! Very appreciative of her help!

The person at the desk was very nice but the cost of parts were more than what I could get elsewhere. Also they don't sell name brand parts so I'm less sure what the quality is.

Open app Your location NAPA Auto Parts - Frederick 101 Wormans Mill Ct, Frederick, MD 21701 Auto parts store Kendra Weaver 2170 points 2 days ago Bought a car battery here on Monday 2/9 and installed it the same day. Car still had issues starting so I spent additional time and money on diagnosing the issue and ultimately had to take the car to the mechanic. $250 later my mechanic tells me the "new" battery I installed was in fact over 3 years old and was completely worthless. I took it back to this same store I bought it from and was treated extremely poorly. Staff questioned if I had really bought this battery at this store this week. They then tested the battery and agreed it was dead and I would get a refund. However, for no reason, they began to question what kind of car I had and insisted this battery wasn't acceptable for my car. My mechanic installed the exact same model NAPA battery in the car that I drove to the store. I explained this and was told that I was wrong. They also said that - if the battery was new but wasn't compatible with my car - that it wouldn't have been covered under warranty. I explained that I knew this but that isn't what happened, they sold me an old battery and that old battery does not hold a charge and wouldn't have worked in ANY car. She raised her voice to talk over me and explain how I was still wrong. All of this was completely unnecessary, I had no desire to argue and we had already established that the battery was old and should not have been sold to me in the first place. I got my refund but I am livid at my treatment here. A quick google search shows that a car battery shouldn't be sold even just 6-9 months after manufacture so they had no business selling me a battery that was made in 2022. I went an entire week without my car, had to rely on rides from my friends and Uber, spent money on diagnostic tools to fix my car myself, and ultimately paid someone else to diagnose and replace the battery that I had already "fixed". What a waste.
