You have to wait in line behind people vacuuming before you can use a wash bay. I avoid this place if at all possible

It is a self serve car wash. There is normally a wait but it goes pretty fast.

Currently the worker there likes to bug members with unwritten rules. The timers move fast for the amount you put in.

Usually quick. One of the best ways for military and families to wash their vehicles (quarter operated).

Vacuum hoses are broke and the car wash does not have soap. Needless to say I wasted 8 dollars just to rinse my truck.

Inexpensive and conveniently located. The only thing is you obviously have to wait a while depending on how long the person in front of you takes to wash their vehicle.

Military only. Others are turned away. Shame on google maps and the operators of this car wash. Patriotism to a fault!

Worthless. It isn't open to the public. Military I.D. is required. Also, if you can get in, the sign says you can't wash your engine, which is one of the advantages of this type of car wash.

Good location. Does not have a credit/ debit card machine or the ability to pay with anything other than coins. Has a change machine up to $20. NO ATM.

Always a line because you can vacuum out your car before you wash it. So you end up waiting for someone to vacuum and clean then wash their car. It sucks if you just need to wash your car.

I understand that the last wash is at 1915. But don’t rush over to barricade the entry at 1907. Then proceed to lie and say it’s already 1915 followed by an insincere apology. So much for supporting the military.

Their car washing service is not bad. They have to improve their systems to accept credit/debit cards to wash your car without the use of coins.

I used a sponge to remove some bug guts off my vehicle while in the bay, with the timer on wash still running down, and while in the middle of washing my vehicle a staff member drove up and said "what were you spraying on your vehicle?" Immediately accusing me of something completely wrong with no time taken to even think that he was or could be wrong. That guy wasnt there when I arrived, didnt check my I.D. once, and accused me of things that were not true. As far as MWR employees go, I've never been even closely talked to like that in the past. The staff was rude, complacent, and completely unprofessional.

I used this car wash many times in the past with very good results. occasionally the soap was not right or some other little thing but the attendant was spot on with the fix. I am not active duty or retired military. I guess the rule regarding military affiliation was not strictly enforced when I was using. I did witness abuse by some of the users who were not military. Perhaps said abuse led to the enforcement of military only. The car wash is on military property. I am Hawaiian born and raised on Oahu and do not begrudge the military for taking care of its own. I served during the Vietnam conflict and know first hand the sacrifice service members and their families make. Please understand this location has been military for over 70 years (my age). One of the only DIY car washes I have been able to find on Oahu. You can pay $15 to go through an automated one or do a full wash for about $5 here for a little more work - well worth the effort in my opinion. As a previous reviewer complained, it is indeed part of the Naval Exchange and is open to military only.

Watch out for the extremely confrontational and aggressive attendant. She likes to direct cars around for no reason, throwing the "first come-first served" rule out the window. She'll direct customers to line up behind individual wash bays for no apparent reason; no blocked driveway or long line; only her enjoyment of waving cars around. In this method, even if you were next in line, you might end up waiting a long time for your wash bay. I recommend customers just move to the bay she directs regardless of when the previous customer started their wash. She tends to get enraged easily.

People are giving this place 1 star because it’s military only? It legit says it on this page and on the sign. Shouldn’t come as a surprise. Do you rate commissaries 1 star because you can’t shop there too? Anyways, this car wash is just fine. The only complaint is I wish it wasn’t quarters only, would love to see card readers installed. The attendant is pretty short and crass with you but it’s not exactly a place you go expecting stellar customer service.

This car wash was only reopened for a few months and was heavily GUARDED by civilians who were allowing locals to use it but demanding to see ID cards from service members in uniform. Often shut down for “maintenance” and workers were continually on break. Even if this car wash ever opens back up I will NEVER use it. Even when I was drying my car off in the reserved parking area to do so I was harassed and questioned if I was going to be long 5 minutes after starting while locals were left alone to take their time
