Very rude and unprofessional. Took off my father's antenna for some reason and I had to get it back. My father called him before I got there and he wasn't there. I called him and had to wait for him. He finally got to the shop and asked me what am I doing there with a attitude and I just spoke to him.

Bad service, shady business, and owner is sketchy. Had a package done on a truck. Tint, rust proofing, n bed liner. Had to go back because rust proofing was never done but paid for. Took truck to another vendor to confirm rust proofing not done before I went back. Vendor confirmed. Took it back, one of the owners a female told us it was done. After explaining we took it to another vendor to confirm she then said fine. They will do it. There was no apology, no question, nothing from her but a bad attitude. When we asked questions she got irate and started cursing at us. Then said she would call the cops. I told her wait, I'll call them for you. And I did. Her behaviour was iratic and irrational pretty consistent with some sort of drug use. Talked to another owner who wasnt concerned. Just was blunt and said they would do it. I told him I would contact BBB, he said that doesn't do anything. Didn't care just pretty dry. Left property and had to call and make another appointment to get service done by an older lady who was apologetic. But too late damage done. Business was originally owned by owner of Pamalu, but had to sell business.e. Pamalu has far better service. Bcuz new owners and business is not the same. UPDATE: my review never stated when services were done. After original owners Diane n Kanai sold business due to divorce, it went under new management to include a woman n her daughter. Diane opened Pamalu Trucking and Kanai stayed with Lava Lining as a consultant as explained by new manager who also claimed her daughter was the previous owners Kanais girlfriend at the time. What I was told back then years ago. I took vehicle back to complete what was not done. Problem solved but doesn't dismiss the shade. The fact that you trying to discredit my review only proves u talk like a crook instead of a business owner. I've worked in customer service for over 25 years for corporate companies nationwide. As a consumer we have rights to advise the general public of our experiences with any business good or bad and to patron these establishment s. I choose not to. My choice. If I had to guess it's Kanai from this business discrediting this review. It's ok, bcuz you should realize that this island is way too small to be talking smack n doing shady business. Becuz people give negative reviews, n next thing you know word gets around n people u know start talking about their experiences with the business or it's owners. Then next thing u know they taking their business elsewhere. That's the power of choice. You should always watch who you talking to and how you treat people.

I had a great experience with Lava Lining! I inquired about tint removal and I was able to get an appointment the next day. I was educated on what goes into tint removal so I knew what to expect. I appreciated this and was satisfied with the results. Couldn’t have gone smoother!

So the bed linear looks really good. I won't lie, but the quality of work over all is very low. In the pictures, you will see over spray on the entire vehicle, which took a professional detail shop several hours to remove. Paint was also damaged in a few spot by chips (spots I wouldn't expect to get chipped) when we discussed the spray, I understand the possibility of under the bed rails to possibly receive damaged paint but the head ache rack and the hinge I didn't expect as it wasn't near where bed linear was going to be. The muffler was also heavily coated in the under coating, and it was a japanese imported muffler that was difficult to get. Upon inspecting the under coating underneath the bed, the coverage is poor. The fender wells are well coated, and so is the side of the engine as well -_- But the frame and all I expected to get coated isn't, and I will be just using some POR15 from oreillys to finish the job. Lesson learned about local owned business in Hawaii twice this year, and I should have used my gut. Painter wasn't good, and neither was the bed lining company. Gonna have to stick to chain companies from the mainland to get a good quality controlled job. Guess only good local businesses to support are crafts and food business.
