Have been in twice recently and have had horrible service, specifically from a man named Fred. First time he was not helpful in finding a hose adapter and told me I needed to go somewhere else and the second time he gave me a hard time about recutting a key that he had cut and didn’t work. Not sure if he has a problem with women, but it is the worst service I’ve had in a long time. Won’t be back!

I liked shopping here with the exception the store was crowded with merchandise and it wasn't very handicap accessible. I could get my wheelchair into the store after moving merchandise from the sidewalk and once in the store I could only go one way and couldn't get too everything I wanted to look at. But i did enjoy the merchandise they offered and the prices they had on almost all of the things they had for sale. Please fix the entrance at least thank you. Oh and the workers are more than willing to help me I enjoyed that. Thank all of you! 😊

This place is closer, more friendly and more knowledgeable than the big box stores and it doesn't have a 5 acre parking lot to navigate. Great staff and great selection not to mention that the prices are basically the same as the Blue and Orange Big box stores. Do yourself a favor and shop here.

My husband went in there not realizing that they closed at 6 o clock and rather then kindly letting him know that they are closing they were very rude to him and told him he had to check out right that second or leave. This was only 1 minute after closing and he had everything that he needed but maybe 2 items which would have taken him all of 2-3 minutes to grab. Again, I have worked customer service before and understand the frustration of customers who come in the eye last second to shop. However, he did not intentionally walk in at the last minute and then could have kindly let him know they were closing and asked if they could help with the last few items. It would have only taken all of five minutes. Instead they were very rude and snarky about it.

Daughter wanted her ATV bumpers painted hot pink. Grabbed two cans from Groom and Son's one ended up being orange (cap was pink and said pink but sprayed orange) They swapped it out and made it right for me even though the mistake wasn't on them. Good people highly recommend.

Love this place! Perfect name. They are very helpful, but the best is all the variety of items they carry. Wonderful to look at all the neat non hardware items. Local honey, old goats pain cream, among many other great decorative items. Well worth the stop to shop. Even have neat kids riding toys.

I miss this and most other hardware stores around here being small family owned businesses. It’s worth something getting help from employees that are experienced experts in what you’re looking for. However, this place has been bought out by a large group of investors along with many other hardware stores from East Texas to Dallas. It’s owed by Nations Best Holdings. So you’re paying higher prices while still buying from “Corporate America”and not a small mom & pop store. Example: screen door tensioner $19 here but $9.99 at Walmart. It all depends on the product. But it is convenient when you need something quick and available.
