Was regular customer and was buying catfish on 6/8/22. The fish was wonderful but I noticed I was charged what I thought was exorbitant amount on the receipt...which said walleye. On the am of 6/10 I talked to a person in seafood that apologized and said bring the receipt to customer service and I would be refunded. That night I did as he instructed and caught nothing but resistance from the manager on duty. She ended up crediting my card for $3.52 only, telling me the difference in price was$1. When I walked back to seafood, the difference was actually$5. So a manager that lies had cost them a regular customer. Won't be back over about$15. Way to do business Giant Foods... update... perhaps most humorous of all... they sent a response feigning interest in my shopping experience...when I called the given number found they were closed 15 prior until Monday. Guessing I'll talk to them Monday... So let's do the math...they lost $209 a week over about $30 total...and I had the pleasure of meeting perhaps the most horrible person in whoever the manager was that evening

Well stocked with many displays throughout the store. Can be hard to find what you're looking for because they reorganize and display different things. Prices are comparable to similar grocery stores

This is our favorite grocery store. Good parking, close to home and they always have what I need stocked. I like the layout of the store. Staff is friendly. Deli meat counter guy was very helpful and service with a smile was a plus.

The new renovation has given this Giant a boost! Probably one of the nicest Giants I've been to and the employees are really nice and will ask you if you need help finding anything. Great selection on grocery items and one of my top places to shop for groceries in the Worman's Mill area.

Updated: consumers beware. Items ring up higher than listed on the shelf and no one managing self checkout have authority to override prices. Total scam and should be sued like dollar general over deceptive pricing. Initial review: Rude staff.

A white male stalked my car on a bike and the store representatives refused to remove him from the premises. I called the store number to report issue and the representative stated they don’t have cameras and the male sits there often. The representative needs to be fired being put in harm’s way while buying groceries is unacceptable. I had to file a police to attempt to correct the issue please be safe and aware of your surroundings.

I always have great experiences in this Giant (especially the deli department) but I’m writing this review today because I did my first ever pick up order. The process, communication, and pick up was so smooth and stress free. I wish I had cash on me to tip the delightful young man who brought the groceries to my car (I will definitely have some on me next time)! Thank you, Giant! Update: The young man’s name is Austin & he deserves a raise!

With other nearby groceries being packed before the holidays, we decided to go to Giant for our shopping. Now I understand why it's so empty compared to other options. While several of the produce options were quite good, there were several others that were getting to the latter end of their expiry date by the looks. We also purchased salmon from the seafood counter and got what looked like a piece of salmon that had been beaten and tossed around for the past 5 days and also was close to expedition given the discoloration and pungent fishy smell. The French beans we purchased had gone bad and tasted of chemicals but the chicken breast we got for soup was fine. Definitely won't be coming back for meal shopping though.

If you've not grocery shopped here before, prepare for some very awkward pricing habits at either Giant Food store here in town. In general, most every product is priced higher than usual, and many "sales" are total b.s. as they're temporarily marking prices upwards first. Only half of the doors work because that somehow deters shoplifting. I've come to very much dislike this store.

I bought fresh mussels from giant. Cooked the that night. 2#s. Or 32 ounces in theory, 19 ounces were bad, unusable. Trash! Bad enough you rip us off with our over priced groceries, now you sell more than half trash on top of it. Oh by the way, I have been a professional chef for 40 + years in some of Maryland's finest restaurants. I should have known. You’re lucky you got one star.

Giant is yet another store that's seen better days. While the store was recently renovated, it doesn't make up for everything that it lacks. For starters, Giant no longer has anyone that retrieves the carts from the corrals in the parking lot. If you use one of the small carts like I do, good luck finding one sometimes. Or the ones that are available stick together. It also seems like every time I go to Giant now, there are always large carts in every aisle - either the online shoppers or goods that have arrived but haven't been unpacked. It's almost to the point where the aisles become obstructed. How is that not a fire hazard? Finally, there was a recent incident with a store employee. I was on the meat dept making a selection when an employee pushed her way in front of me and started grabbing most of the items of the product I was looking at. It almost feels like Giant is pushing their consumers to online shopping by making the in-store shopping experience more stressful.

Just got a watermelon from Giant and it was rotten on the inside.. a lot of times I’ve went to get produce there has been flies on the vegetables or when I cut them open (like onions) they’re rotten! It’s expensive to shop here, I’m sorry, but I at least expect things to be fresh. The only reason this has 2 stars is because the employees at self checkout are always helpful

I'm at Giant on Kingfisher Drive once a week! My mother-in-law likes their milk and lunch meats! While I'm here, I get things for us too! One of the items that I get is Tide laundry detergent when they're on sale! In November, we needed to get a new washing machine! But my new machine only uses HE detergents, but the detergents that I bought are regular! I took my recently purchased Tide back to Giant to exchange for HE detergent. While I was there, I asked the supervisor if I could bring my other Tide in to exchange for the HE, she told me I needed my receipts in order to exchange it! I told her I couldn't find my receipt for it! She told me she can look into it if I give her my Giant card numbers and phone number so she can called me back! She called me a few hours later to let me know that she looked back six months and she couldn't find any my purchases for Tide! Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for doing that for me! I think she helped her customers above and beyond her job description!

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Giant Food at 1700 Kingfisher Frederick, MD, and I will not be shopping there again. I ordered $149 worth of food for delivery, as I usually go inside the store, but due to a sprained ankle, I thought it would be easier to have it delivered. Unfortunately, the delivery was sent to the wrong address by a delivery driver named Dwayne. When I called customer service at the store, they advised me to contact the third-party delivery service that Giant is affiliated with, but then hung up on me. I am now out of both my food and $149, with zero resolution or help from Giant or the delivery service. This experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The lack of customer care and the delivery mishap made this entire situation even worse. I strongly recommend not ordering from here, especially if you rely on delivery. Terrible service all around.

Big store compared to the Giant I normally shop at. Seemed well organized. Clean. Well stocked. Customer service gentleman was helpful too. I'd shop here if I didn't live so far away.

My goodness — I’m only writing this review in hopes of saving lives. If I could give a half star, I would. I recently purchased what was supposed to be fresh trout and catfish from the Giant on Kingfisher Drive, and something was very wrong. When I started to clean the fish, I noticed there was no smell at all, which was unusual. Even while frying the trout, there was still no fish aroma. That immediately raised a red flag. I decided to take a very small taste test, and it tasted strongly of bleach or some kind of cleaning chemical. Please be extremely cautious about buying seafood from this location. I’m feeling negative effects just from that small test bite and truly worry that someone could end up in the hospital. Something is not right with how that seafood was handled or cleaned. And they do not seem to welcome truthful feedback if it isn't positive.

Bizarre & suspicious behavior by grouchy cashier at self checkout Tuesday 11/25 afternoon at Frederick on Kingfisher. Instead of apologizing for inconvenience to customer for prices not matching shelf tags, she stood behind and glared without any explanation. Then she proceeded to grab the receipt shouting "it's mine! It's mine!" Absolutely outrageous to treat customer like a criminal for store's mistake. Had to lock payment card since not sure what this shady cashier is doing with the receipt. It's not worth the hassle to be treated so appallingly when there's plenty of better competition nearby.
