First visit 2 years ago was great next visit 1*, today they had what I wanted, cashier was was shooting the breeze with a guy close to the hose parts, which is what I needed! Found my part, went to register, two associates behind counter, one ignored me, the girl was at a register chatting with the same guy in back of store, I made sure she saw me, finally I asked if she was open, just a minute . No, I have money in my hand, she wanted to talk to guy that was not making a purchase, so now I am at Lowe’s! What a shame your cashier could have rang me up and talked at the same time, or excused herself so I can leave. Or the other associate offer to take my $$. Your store is less than 2 miles from my house, it might as well be on the moon!

The employees are always welcoming, polite, and helpful. The store can be a bit expensive and they might not have the same range as a bigger chain store, but that is expected for such a conveniently located, small / independent business right in downtown Indy.

This is my go to hardware store! Now it is a little more than your typical but guess what…..they price match!!! Assuming you’ve done the research to know. I always get amazing help and guidance and believe me I am in there a lot. I tend to not have any idea what I’m looking for and the employees always come through and help me out. I’ve been in there for plumbing needs, electrical and rarely have to come back because of ending up with a wrong piece. If you’re in the area and wondered if you should stop here versus going to a Lowe’s or Menards…..you should definitely come here.

Shame on the eastside community who has caused this store to close. You couldn't shop there on a regular basis, but you can show up for their closing prices. You have come in and trashed our community. Look around and see the fast food trash and the grocery carts you just tossed out. We can't even keep a recycled area because you chose to trash it. Shame on all of you. If you cannot take pride in the neighborhood you chose to live in, please move out. We do not want you here. You are not entitled to do whatever you want. Shame on you. These people treated all customers like a human being. Thank you True Value for the services you provided us. I am sorry our community didn't support you enough to help you stay in business. They seem to be content with the Walmarts of the world. Pffft! They are happy running all our businesses to the ground.

I love this neighborhood hardware store! The staff is so friendly and helpful! I love that they are dog friendly and always give my pup a treat when I walk over with him. Today my dog and I went in to buy a few things and asked for advice about disconnecting my propane tank from my grill. I wasn’t able to do it myself so the manager walked with me over to my condo in the 90° heat to help me out. He was so kind and friendly and he wouldn’t accept a tip! Awesome service!!

I lost all the hardware to my bed in a move. I was in the hardware section and it’s alot of options for someone not familiar. I went up to a manager to bask for assistance. All I had said was “I just need help in the hardware, all the hardware to my bed was lost” the next thing out his mouth was “well you’ll have to do that yourself” I tried asking if I told him the dimensions and showed him a picture of the screw type- if he could help. He got attitude and started showing me some drawers to look at explaining that they were short handed, I said I understood but it’s kind of rude when the first thing out your mouth is “do it yourself” and he said “well that’s what a hardware store is”. I get that, I never asked him for to sit down for an hour going through screws. I literally just asked for some guidance. And he was incredibly rude and dismissive. I will say I’m a black woman and I heard him be 100 percent more polite to a white middle aged woman 10 seconds before I asked him for help. That’s why I went up to him, because he seemed like he wanted to help customers. Apparently only certain customers who look a certain way. Edit-I've never seen a company take accountability like this, so I changed my review to 5 stars.

I love this neighborhood store/ Always greet you when you arrive, very knowledgeable about the store, products, etc. I went yesterday to get paint samples and today to get my chosen color. When in the paint department, I was helped by Mark. He was incredibly helpful, patient, knowledgeable and also just very easy to work with. Support your neighborhood stores!

Fusek's is my go to hardware store! We bought our Weber grill there last summer, got a sweet deal and then came back this year and they honored the discount on the cover as promised. I came here to pick up a package. I gave them multiple names and even the tracking number but they told me they didn’t have it. I had the business that served as an intermediary for the package give this store a call and what do you know? They had it all along. What this tells me is (1) they werent listening to what I was telling them and (2) they didn’t look at the package’s tracking numbers when they were searching. If you’re going to be a package pick up spot it shouldn’t be this difficult to pick up a package. Wasted 30 minutes of my life I will never get back.

TRUE VALUE EXCELLENCE Came into the store on 7/26/2025. Larry and Harley assisted me with locating a few items i needed. Larry was very professional and courteous towards me and Harley was very Engaging. Thank you both for excellent customer service. I appreciate that.I would like to thank the 2 lovely ladies at the front counter. CHRISTY STANTON/PAM HARMON. I was greeted the moment I entered the store and instantly felt welcomed. I was helped in a very courteous, polite and professional manner. I've shopped at the store on several occasions and receive the same warm, welcoming and professional service from the associates. I came in to the Hardware Store and have never been so disappointed and hurt. The words Ean used towards me was horrible. All I did was ask for help. He didn’t want to help and said he was too busy. This is so unprofessional. I have shopped here so many times and never have I been so disappointed. Mark and Don are the absolute best employees but Mr. Ean is a complete waste of time.

First off - HUGE shout out to Mark G. for going out of his way to help me plug my flat tire! I definitely wouldn’t have been able to muscle it into place myself, so he totally saved me! Also, the staff person I spoke to on the phone was great and the cashier woman was so welcoming and kind. She and Mark G. were both helpful in locating where the tire plug kits were located. I’ve been in this shop before and am always impressed by the variety and selection. For just under $10 I got a kit with two tools, three plug strips, and a small tube of rubber seal stuff. With the great customer service and help included, it’s really a great deal ☺️

This place is like the perfect friendly neighborhood hardware store. They always seem to have what I need, are open when I need and conveniently located. The staff always seem to be in a good mood and there are just good vibes all around, it feels like a family there. Plus, I always seem to be visiting during their “happy hour” where they have a discount on all items. What’s not to love?

A Lifesaver in the Heart of Indianapolis I recently visited Fusek's Hardware in Indianapolis to help my daughter move to a new city. My daughter had been living downtown while working at Indiana University Medical Center, and the staff at Fusek's has always been incredibly helpful and friendly to her. When we arrived, we were struggling to remove the trailer hitch lock from her truck. The store manager, Mike Gunning, went above and beyond to assist us. His expertise and patience were invaluable, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a positive experience. Everyone at Fusek's was so welcoming and helpful. It's clear that they are a true asset to the community. If you're in the Indianapolis area, I highly recommend visiting Fusek's Hardware. You won't be disappointed!
