Did not expect to pay $42, for such poor service…. I wasn’t expecting a detail job, but I expected my whole vehicle to be washed and wiped down. 🤦🏻‍♀️… wash and vacuum your car this car wash place does not consider the value of your investment…

These pics are after full detail was done and before I left the lot ( I picked up after they closed). Paid $300. I paid for the detail then picked up when they were closed. I tried to reach out to them to make it right. No response. :(

Paid $150 to get the car detailed inside minus the seats and the dash had dust all over it the front vent was filthy. Also the scratched my window tint Called to talk to the owner he did not call me back so I went in. They took no responsibility for the window said it was a dog. I never had my pet in my car. The vent the detailer came out with the owner and said what these 3 pieces of dust (look at picture). I showed them the picture and said since you can't see i will zoom the picture. The owner said that looks like a different car. I said no look and pointed something out, then we got an oh. They just can't admit they messed up. Said they definitely would not fix the window and no money back. They would only finish cleaning the dash and vents . I said no your not touching the car again.

Save your money. They will charge you $48 to send 4 people to vacuum and clean your car only to look like that. Then send you through the car wash. I could have gone to fast lane and done it myself for less than half the money.

This is the best Car Wash I have been to during my lifetime! The employees, starting with Rob Staiger, GM, to John Lepore, Detailing, and others, have always been extremely accommodating. Their customer service skills are top class! This Car Wash has a variety of types of services you can choose from. They do not use brushes, yet there are always wonderful results from the high pressure sprays of soap and cleaning equipment that are used. My 2010 car always shines with no streaks, no scratches, and no areas of the car that are missed. My car looks "brand new" thanks to this car wash! Honest! : ) I guarantee you will be 100% pleased with the service you receive at the Capital City Car Wash (since 1990)!

My family and I had an emergency in the car with one of our kids, while in Harrisburg. Saying that it was a blessing that it happened very close to here is an understatement. We originally stopped here in hopes of finding rags to somewhat clean a bit of what had happened, and for our child to change clothes, and the outcome was a blessing and more! Thank you to the detailer who left the back seat of our car NEW (husband is a detailer and it is definitely up to his likeness), and the employees and owner who went above and beyond to accomodate our needs and our child to be able to use the, very clean, facilities and change. Would definitely visit again under normal circumstances! 👍🏼 THANK YOU GUYS!

Always hand wash my car but on a road trip and decided to freshen up the car at a touchless automatic after driving in rain. Didn’t have my expectations too high but I’m not sure that I can even see a difference after the middle level wash. Update: the owner Rob reached out and said they were having some issues with the touchless wash that day and offered to send a gift card out. The owner is sincere about customer satisfaction and that means a lot. Upgrading from a 2 star review to a 4 star.

He was also very interested in my feedback. After today's service, you just picked up 3 luxury vehicles receiving your highest level package for a long time. Thank you!

I recently visited capital city car wash and was really disappointed with my experience. Unfortunately, my car was not washed thoroughly, and I noticed several spots that were still dirty after the service. While the staff was friendly. I expected a better wash for the price I paid 46 $. I request customers not to go and sit in the lounge . But stand by your car and get your car get done thoroughly. I hope the team can improve their attention to detail in the future. Thank you!"

I called to see if they did interior cleaning as well as exterior. They said it’s Titanium service $42. There were 6 people waiting to help but my car was done quickly. Not hand dried. Interior dash still dusty. Small ice cream spot still on back seat and a dirty spoon they must have found under the seat because I’d cleaned out the trash before going. RIP OFF. Pictures taken 5 minutes after they were done.

I paid $400 to get my Volvo detailed before the winter (2025) and I had to complain and bring it back (2) two times NOT even close to being done correctly they must have ran it through the automatic car wash & its now missing a piece off of the wiper control arm base --- leather seats in the back crumbs still there NO shampooing no shine applied to exterior plastic (guy tells me "yeah, I don't use that it wears off after a while"), trunk barely vacuumed engine had leaves and debris all over it... NO DETAIL work in their Platinum PKG (crazy) go elsewhere :( in 2018 they were awesome w/ my Mercedes >>>HARD PASS NOW

Took my car in to wash off all the road salt. Paid $46 for full service. It's nice to have the vacuum and windows done. The exterior now that it's dry just looks like the wash just smears the filth around. Tons of dried smears and salt still everywhere. Friendly staff. For the price I'd go elsewhere.

Edit - I suspect that this place is under new ownership, or management. I arrived and they informed me that it was going to cost me 42 dollars now, for a car wash. They did not do a thorough job at all, they missed places, and did not have anyone at the end to flip out the mirrors or dry the car. I suspect this company will be closed soon. You cannot jack up the price that much, and provide inferior service!! Original review - This is a great place to have your car washed. Reviewed back when they dried your car, provided good service and dis not charge 42 dollars for a wash.

I understand that it can be challenging to find good help, but I was very disappointed by the young man who sprays the cars upon entry. His underhanded comments and glare were uncalled for, simply because my tire didn’t fully align on the track after following his directions. Poor customer service

Rob is a great guy and goes above and beyond in customer service that I thought no longer existed. I called and talked to him about a concern I had and he said I could come in and talk to him. He was very helpful and very generous with his time. Thanks so much Rob and keep up the great work.Great place to get your car wash.
