Manager was rude and accused me of trying to get something for free when I offered her $10 for a tiny little damaged rug which had no price tag and was smaller than all the other rugs. Acted like she didn’t care about the customers and was bringing up a much bigger y damaged rug to have them ring up, which didn’t seem fair at all. She needs to work on her people skills.

I went in to get a small bookshelf for my bedroom... And I got a small bookshelf for my bedroom! It doubles as a nightstand so it's perfect! There were 2 wonderful ladies who took care of me: Ali and Nancy. I love this store because it's always clean, well lit, and orderly. Great job as always, Big Lots!

Very neat and tidy. I'm not a fan of the location. It's not well lit and sits far from the road. I'm also not a fan of the quality of the furniture. It's changed dramatically. I purchased a queen sleigh bedroom set from Big Lots in San Antonio, Texas, in 2003! I still have it, and it's in great condition. It's heavy and durable. I haven't found anything else like it in their stores since that purchase.

Such a clean store! Everything is nice and tidy and easy to find! They have a large variety of things from furniture to toiletries to groceries, and always have a huge selection of holiday decorations every holiday of the year! However nice the store may be, I have found that the staff is not always the most helpful or knowledgeable. Many times I have come in and have seen employees standing around, talking to each other when they could have been helping customers. I've also found that cashiers arent always the nicest. But otherwise, a fantastic store to take the family to!

While this location brings bittersweet memories from Toys R Us, this location is wonderful! It is organized and clean and the employees take pride in the appearance and upkeep of the store. Besides the great prices, the customer service is great. John, our cashier, wad very personable and patient as he looked up an item that did not have a barcode. His friendly banter was refreshing given the current pandemic atmosphere. He quoted the Lantern oath based on my boyfriend's shirt and dabbed based on my teacher shirt which made us all laugh. We ended up getting a membership card as well. Keep up the great work, West Patrick Big Lots!

The very first time we went in there for furniture, the furniture manager Alexis helped us, she was very nice, professional and was able to tell us what was in stock and available, she even went to the back a few times to be sure a item was in stock, very helpful and excellent customer service. The second time we went there, Alexis wasn't there. We waited about 15 minutes before being asked if we needed help while multiple associates were standing around talking and seen us sitting in the furniture area. When we finally did attempt to get help by the manager Steve, he was extremely rude and very unprofessional so, I asked him if there was another manager there to assist us he told me no and continued to be rude. We walked away and found another associate named Travis who assisted us, he was very nice, extremely friendly and helpful. We went back today to look for more furniture and avoided getting help by Steve due to our last visit. The store manager Eric, associate Ariel and Angie were awesome, super friendly, professional and took wonderful care of us. We were very satisfied with our visit today. Overall, great store and wonderful workers there. But, Steve definitely needs some customer service training.

My first time in this Big Lots location and I was prepared to be underwhelmed based on what I had encountered in other Big Lots stores. However I was more than impressed! The store was need, clean, and well arranged. The aisles were wide enough to get carts through and there were sales associates offering assistance if needed. I complimented the associate who checked me out and she indicated that she and others had been in a few other locations and completely understood what I was saying. She said everyone was committed to maintaining the store in the best light. I will go back (prices were good on several items that I use regularly) and I will be the first to let them know if they aren't keeping the store up.

They have "closing sales" right now, but nothing is actually discounted enough to make it cheaper than shopping somewhere else. Until the REAL discounts come out, this place is just a Walmart that's short on stock with a smaller selection of goods. I suggest waiting it out until they're more desperate to get rid of stuff.

***UPDATE The review is for the STERLING VA location I guess after it closed google put it for the Frederick MD store*** The location was announced to be closing. However, going there and trying to use any promotional pricing by email that came from Big lots is rejected because it is"no longer Big Lots". Do not intend to go there again

Big lots is a great place to buy snacks at great prices. I love to browse this store because I never know what I will find and have been pleasantly surprised by the great finds for very reasonable prices. There is furniture, some clothing, kitchen gear, and garden supplies, The last time I shopped in, I got a great pair of pool shoes for ten dollars. There are great sales on furniture and often art and mirrors and just about anything a person could need. This is a great place to try if you want to save on essentials or stock up.
