Terrible service from the Ft Smith, Ar location of AVIS. We were in a bad accident after renting a vehicle from Avis, completely not our fault as per the police report, and they refused to replace the vehicle for the remainder of our vacation even though we paid over $400 for the rental insurance. Avis corporate eventually had to have a car towed from the Little Rock location because Ft Smith absolutely refused to replace our car even though they had cars in stock. The manager Nancy Kay Smith was unfriendly and unprofessional. The worst customer service experience of my life.

Awful experience in returning the car after hours. Had multiple charges for different things. Ended up getting all but one charged dropped which would have been avoided if you didn't get the run around from then for disputes. You could not get a hold of anyone on the phone. The location would tell you they can't do anything and that you would have to call corporate and then the customer service would tell you to that you would have to email. Once you email someone you would have to wait five business days. NOBODY EVER CALLS YOU BACK. I had to make multiple calls and send several emails just to get the charges drop. Had someone told me about the charges I could have had the airport team help me. A month and a half later I find out what the charges where actually for and it was too late.

I rent from this place monthly and have NEVER had a problem that wasn’t resolved immediately. The cars are clean, the staff is typically helpful (I usually only deal with one person and she’s ALWAYS friendly), it’s at the airport so it’s convenient. I’m a preferred customer so it’s way easier than Enterprise.

If you have overpaid with AVIS, forget about your money, customer service will ignore you. I cannot speak to any person higher than the customer service agent (with a false name) who does not speak English. Email - I got email from AVIS :Dear Mr. Bes, Thank you for contacting Avis customer service regarding a refueling charge. We feel very sorry about this inconvenience you had regarding a refueling charge. We will be more than glad to help you. We understand how frustrating this could be and we are making a constant effort to keep improving our services. Your information has been received and your case reviewed. We made a refund for the amount of 20.40$ USD to your account, expect 4 to 5 business days for it to reflect. Any further question don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for using Avis. Kind regards, Andres C. Avis Customer Service." And they charge me (20.40$) AGAIN . After 7 years using AVIS , usually 3weeks per month , I'm sick to call Avis every few week to protect my money .

On Monday March 22 I called the avis car rental at the Fort Smith Airport location to reserve a vehicle I was told the soonest avawas Wednesday March 24 at 830a. I specifically asked the the representative I was speaking to if the chime card was accepted for payment, she told me yes it was. I get to the rental service on the expected date just to be told no they do NOT accept chime as a form of payment, I explained I already confirmed they did when I reserved the vehicle 2 days prior so I knew what to expect. Well I said ok so where is the ATM? She directed me to it I pulled cash out just to then be told, no cash payments. I was sent all over on a goose chase it felt to try to figure away to make the payment, by the time I finally got to take possession of the vehicle it was about 2p ! I was so upset with the situation & misinformation that the staff lacked or doesn't tell the customer, like the $300 deposit that's not mentioned until you pick up the vehicle. This process took so long & was so inconvenient, I missed the funeral of my niece I'm which is why I was getting the car in the first place. This I the worst service ever, I will NEVER use this company again EVER. Renters beware if you have somewhere to be on a time frame & beware of all the extra little hidden fees

Every interaction in renting a vehicle with Avis has been exquisite. From the Scheduling of a vehicle to meet our needs, Vehicle pick-up, Vehicle Maintenance, Vehicle Preparation, Interaction with Avis Employees, and Vehicle Turn-in, all were Exceptional…! This has been the best experience in Vehicle Rental I have every had…! I would Absolutely Recommend AVIS to everyone I come in contact with. Great Value for the Dollar, Great interaction with Employees, Ease of process with the On-Line Selections and Process. More than a Satisfied one time Customer; a Customer for Life!

I've probably rented 8 vehicles from Avis over the last 6 months. I normally rent to transport live stream equipment for a local high school. The staff always is friendly and as accommodating as possible. Pickup and drop off is always quick and easy. Vehicles are always in great condition and clean inside and out. The airport Avis staff does a great job taking care of me!

We were double-charged a $200 deposit which totaled as $400 from our account. Everyone we spoke with from Avis said “2-5 business days, funds will be returned” when ironically, the deposit taken came out instantly. We eventually received our full deposit but it took a week plus calling and emailing each day.

Location rented me a vehicle that had expired tags from 12/ 2022. Was randomly pulled over by Arkansas state police and was written a summons for expired tags. Never again would i think about renting from Avis let alone suggest my worst enemy. My driving record could be affected from this careless error on the local branch. Horrific experience I wish no one has to go through. When I returned to location to explain and hopefully get another vehicle as I was there for work, I was looked at like I was crazy and there’s no way that could have happened. If it wasn’t for the police officer at the airport confirming the tags were actually expired, the ladies in the front would have continued to deny they were expired. Almost laughable. #stayaway #rentfromenterprise

Returned car 1 day early, full of gas, and still charged a $118.87 non-refundable prepay! What a rip off! Never will rent another vehicle from them again!

My rental this past week was wonderful! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The cost was more than reasonable! In fact, I'd say I really got a great bargain. The car was also very clean and got really good gas mileage. I am their customer for life!

I’ve had amazing service from this location plenty of times, but this last time was terrible. 1. The lady working ( older lady) was beyond rude, she was in her office when I arrived and then stayed back there for an extra 4 minutes. I thought she didn’t see me until the lady from hertz or enterprise came over and let her know she had customers. Then she says “I know” ! She then comes out and has an attitude like she didn’t even want to help me. She asked for my if and card and I gave them to her. I did mess up because I was paying for a car for someone else and I didn’t realize my name had to be on there as well. She rudely tells me I can’t rent a car and need to make a new reservation. So I did that other customers started to approach and instead of asking nicely for me to move over she just says “you need to move I have other customers”. The other customer approaches and she is beyond nice and sweet to her. I finally get back to the front and she has an attitude all over again. I stayed calm and my boyfriend suggested that I didn’t even rent from her since her attitude was off. I still tried but I guess my credit wasn’t good enough so I couldn’t rent. I apologized for wasting her time and she rudely brushed me off. The next customer comes and she nice to her too. I didn’t do anything to this lady and I was as calm as I could be and she was just soooo nasty. Never experienced anything like that at that location at all.

Vehicle and pick up at the Fort Smith, AR Regional Airport location was fine. Issues arose at/after dropping the vehicle off. I received a receipt upon leaving that stated they had to put over 14 gallons of fuel into the vehicle, adding well over $140 to my bill. I know it’s a fraudulent charge as I filled the vehicle up less than a mile away, and the receipt was printed while the keys were still in her hand, and the vehicle had yet to be moved. After calling to address the issue I spoke with Jesus who was insanely rude. He consistently spoke over me and would ignore my questions and comments. He said the fuel is verified by a very accurate sensor in the fuel tank, I’d argue the opposite. The company refuses to provide any actual evidence of them refueling the vehicle, but insists I provide them with a receipt from the gas station. Now I am waiting to get in touch with the manager of the gas station to see if they can print a receipt for me. This is an insane way of doing business. I will be sure to mention all of this to my company as I can’t imagine how many times they have over charged us on a large corporate account without being checked on it. The area is limited in rental options but Hertz and National are only feet away from this booth, take your business there or at the very least document everything (not just on your rental slip, that’s worthless), and be prepared to fight them when they steal your money.

First I want to say that I have used budget/avis for years and never had any issues. I went last Saturday June 15, 2024 and was met by a lady named Debbie that was extremely rude from the jump! First the car wasn’t ready because they were “cleaning it” she had ZERO customer service skills! She didn’t explain why the car wasn’t ready even tho I had rented it weeks in advance. No apology for the inconvenience NOTHING! She also made a ride and racist comment about my last name like it was an inconvenience to say it which i understand it’s not an easy last name but she didn’t have to make the unprofessional comment about it which then made me uncomfortable! So I left and went back 2 hours later when it was ready. Just for her to run my card one time and then tell me I couldn’t rent the car with no reason to why or any other option! I have been in retail and management for 9+ years and have NEVER been treated that way! I would be livid if one of my girls treated a customer that way! Period! She needs to be pulled from the front and given extra training on her customer service skills and keeping her racist comments to herself especially with anyone who has an unusual last name! Very unprofessional and Avis needs to do better! I ended up going to Hertz and rented a car without issues so if you need a car rental and want to be treated like a human being then go to Hertz! I’ll NEVER use budget/avis again!!! If I could give zero stars I would!!

Outstanding service from Avis. I recently rented a car from Avis, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Here's why I'm giving them a solid 5 stars: 1. Effortless Booking: Avis' online reservation process was a breeze. 2. Friendly Staff: The Avis team was friendly and welcoming. They explained everything clearly and even shared local tips. 3. Immaculate Cars: the rental was spotless and well-maintained. Kinda felt like I was driving a new car. 4. Great Value: they offer competitive pricing. 5. Efficient Drop-off: returning the car was quick and hassle-free

Was not informed until I received my bill that an additional driver that was added was an additional charge. It may have been in the contract, I'm sure it was but we arrived at the airport and picked up the vehicle almost midnight after a day of airports, exhausted, and I'm sure I did not read that contract thoroughly. But I was not verbally informed of this charge at the time of pickup or when I made the reservation prior, therefore I will not rent from Avis in the future and this is why I gave them a low rating

Not only was the car not ready at the scheduled pick up time, but the customer service rep, Sonya, was very standoffish/unhelpful. Options were to downgrade for the same price or cancel our reservation all together.

I just used Avis car rental via Costco travel app. It was easy to find a great price with Avis and when I picked up and dropped off my rental car I found the Avis representatives to be friendly and professional. Only issue I had was my cell phone doesn’t use the usb port that was in the car so I did spend some time worried my phone battery would die before I got my 3 hour drive. My mistake for not checking the car prior to leaving. I would have picked up a charger that would work with the lighter or something.

Upon pick up of my rental the car they gave me smelled like smoke and had dog hair all over the back seat. I reported this and other things to the front desk they were unaware of this should have been my sign to go else where. They upgraded my rental as it was their only option they said. Upon return of the vehicle the lady at desk issued a rental to another customer then when finished looked at me and walked to away without a greeting and did not return. So I seen the car return key drop box and I filled the papers out left the keys. I thought it would be okay I trust budget/avis to send my receipt as other locations have this same option and I never had an issue with them. A few days later I get a bill with $200 misc fee. I cleaned the vehicle and filled the gas up before dropping it off as I always do. Customer service mentioned it was noted as a cleaning fee for excessive crumbs found in the car. Customer service opened a ticket to escalate the issue and said it will take 7-10 days then I have to call back. Worse location I’ve experienced with budget/avis. Based off the comments seems like it’s a normal thing to sneak false charges in here.
