Had a car reserved for pickup, I selected a standard SUV (Ford Edge or Similar), I am not 25 years old so I had to select the under 25 option which added on a fee around $300. I had no problems paying this fee, as I know that it is pretty standard for all rental car companies. I got there to pickup the car at the time I selected and I was told that I could not have the standard SUV like I selected. On the Avis website it says: "Renters younger than 25 are permitted to rent Economy through Full-Size cars, Premium cars, Convertibles, Intermediate SUVs and Standard SUVs." Based on what it says on the website, I shouldn't have any issues renting the standard SUV. The person working at this location claimed it was up to the location manager and that the manager definitely wouldn't allow me to rent the standard SUV. He also complained that I didn't have coverage on the car even though I have my own car insurance. So I had to cancel my reservation, which he said he could not do, so I had to sit on the phone for over an hour waiting on customer service people to pickup, After finally getting a hold of someone they agreed that this was weird that he did not allow me to rent the car. I called the airport location and they said that I would be able to rent the standard SUV, so I will be going there.

Went with my sister. The only place in town that had a car available. Nice guy working there. The Camry she got was dirty, it needed a wash and the interior needed a vacuum and deodorized.

This comment is Not for this particular rental site in Lincoln but for AVIS Car Rental. We rented with AVIS for our trip in Hawaii, and the cost was paid in full at the front desk. However, one month later, I noticed an extra charge of $250 on my credit card on June 7th by AVIS with no explanation. I contacted AVIS, and they claimed they would investigate, but they remained unresponsive afterward. I had to contact them again, and this time they informed me that the returned car was not in good condition, and they had to charge $250 for cleaning before renting it to guests again. The truth is my family took very good care of the car during their five-day trip just as they always do with their Airbnb stays. They cleaned both the inside and outside of the car before returning it, and even had the receptionist on duty that morning inspect the car, who confirmed it was in good condition. Moreover, my mom found two pictures with the rental car taken on their way to return it, clearly showing the car was clean on the return date. I emailed these pictures and explained the whole process, and AVIS apologized and said they would issue a refund in several business days. However, the refund never happened. When I called AVIS customer service, the agent claimed they had already issued the full refund on June 6th, which was ridiculously absurd and making no sense since they charged me on June 7th. I emailed AVIS multiple times again and finally received a response saying they would re-investigate the issue and mentioned nothing regarding the refund. But again, I never received any response after the timeframe. When I informed them I was considering involving my attorney, they responded immediately, saying they had not processed the refund and I should expect a full refund in 3-5 business days. However, even after one week, there was no refund at all. I urge everyone to avoid doing business with a company that lacks integrity.

Received a phone call 30 minutes prior to picking up a vehicle I had prepaid for to be told they didn’t have a vehicle for me. So now according to their customer service I get to wait 5 to seven days for them to return my money I paid. The guy that called was rude and unhelpful only telling me I had to contact customer service to get a refund. I’m done with Avis and I would suggest anyone but them

I would never ever recommend this car rental place to anyone. When we first got there. It wasn’t the same car we selected online, which wasnt a problem but unprofessional. they guy there seemed like he didn’t know what was going on and wasn’t helpful at all, he wasn’t explaining all of the fees, and the total they gave me online was not the same he gave us. Plus $200 deposit? I understand but they should of said that online when we reserved the car so we could of been prepared with the right amount of money on the card. There were several transactions on the card that was unexplained. We returned the car and was told we get the deposit back 1-2 days after we return. Instead of getting money. They took money off the card, unexplained. No email, no call. so we will never be coming there to rent a car, and would never recommend to anyone.

My husband and I have rented from this Avis a few times over the last couple of years now. We have loved our experiences. Never have we had any issues with them. Kind people to work with. We’ve had to be late with our rental once too and they were so kind about it. This will be our go to place to rent a car while we are living in the Lincoln area.

The service provided is always exceptional!! Staff are professional and knowledgeable. Having the Avis/Budget app also helps alot as well. I would recommend this Avis over any other rental agency in Lincoln. As a frequent traveler, they are by far the easiest to work with.

Rented a Hyundai Sonata to drive to Ohio. The car had a vibration and wobbly sound. I was concerned it wouldn't make it 700 miles but it did. Got a refund for returning early. Had a really bad backache and leg pains after driving this thing 13 hours. If you ever drive through MO and IL and IN, drink plenty of Redbull. It's very boring. Or play follow the speeder to get there quicker. Not too many speed traps along the way. Google maps will tell you where they are. Easy to return the car. Avis does not do a scratch report on the car or an interior check so make sure you take pics of any damages before you accept the keys. Your car insurance or credit card should cover you so don't buy their insurance. It's unnecessary. But check your own insurance or credit card before rejecting their insurance to be on the safe side. The worker who provided our car was very rude/lazy. We were the first to arrive of the day and were a little early. The staff member that had been there for an hour since opening told us that we would have to wait another 20ish minutes for the car to be cleaned. I'm not sure what he had been doing since he got to work- but it wasn't working. We decided to just take a car that had not been cleaned since we wanted to get on the road early. We were provided with a car that reeked of smoke, even after he checked it and said it "wasn't that bad." We had to go back and tell him it smelled so bad and he was even more put out that he had to write it down on our receipt so we would not get blamed. Overall, terrible customer service.

5 Star for Komi and this Avis Location in Lincoln for helping us out in a tough situation, but a 1 Star for the corporate Avis Team, as they were a pain to deal with. Our rental car had a flat tire on Sunday morning. We spent over an hour trying to get roadside service out to our vehicle, two hours by the time he arrrived, we were in a serious time crunch and Komi and his boss were able to get us back on the road with another vehicle. Thankfully this location on O Street took care of us!

Not a good experience. The website had a bunch of inventory listed as available, we reserved our car, and even paid. When we went to pick up our reservation they were shocked that we were there and told us they didn’t have anything on the lot. This happened two times in the matter of 2 days. So now we are stuck waiting for over $600 in refunds and still don’t have a rental car. The one star is from how bad the customer service was through all this. If anyone knows the best way to effectively rent a car in Lincoln, NE please message me and let me know.

I highly recommend Avis Rent A Car, situated at 2745 O Street, Lincoln. I have rented a vehicle from Gufron, on multiple occasions, and he has consistently demonstrated exceptional customer service. I have also witnessed him manage customers, phone calls, check-in and check-out vehicles, and instruct employees with patience and a positive demeanor. Do not rent here I was just billed for $5,711 for a rental that I had in November which I returned with zero damage. I’m getting contacted out of the blue 8 months later and never heard from them directly just from a third party collection be very careful when dealing with this Avis. I rent cars about once a month for business and this location is the only place I’ve had issues with in my 100’s of rentals throughout the years

This was only the fifth time I've ever rented a car. First time from Avis. The only time an agent didn't do a walk around with me. He didn't notate the chipped windshield in the file. With this being an easy fix. I was also not sure why this wasn't fixed prior to renting it to me. We had the car a week. Since the chip wasnt notate and the agent was fired during that week. They agent who checked the car in when we returned it didn't know the chip was not our fault and wanted to charge us for it. We had to wait two hours for a manager to show up and check the vehicles previous rental history to see the chip was pre-existing damage. The car was clean inside and out when we got it. The only other issues we had can be contributed to bad design from Kia. FYI Kia uses proprietary GPS that doesn't automatically update. Twice we ran into road construction/closures the incar GPS didn't show.
