Sunday afternoon it's easy to get in and out quickly. Usually no issues but yesterday there was soap that didn't get washed off. They wiped it off but there was still soap in crevices of the vehicle.

This used to be my go-to place before it was remodeled. I was always willing to pay more because the crew went above and beyond every time. After the remodel, it now feels like a regular Soapy Joe’s. The only difference is that you pay $12 for the machine wash, and an extra $20 if you want them to dry and vacuum it but their dry and vacuum service isn’t nearly as good as it used to be before the remodel.You can also just do the $12 wash and dry/vacuum it yourself, just like at Soapy Joe’s. Unfortunately, they cut most of the original crew who did an amazing job and replaced them with a new team that only provides average service. It’s clear the business chose to make more money while offering less quality. Some of us don’t mind paying more if the service is worth it. Most of the recent Google reviews say the same thing, so I know I’m not the only one who feels this way about the new business model.

Not worth the $30 I spent. They were fast, but the pictures show you why. There is no quality here and not even the bare minimum was met. The center console was clearly not wiped, and there is dust still on the dash. They didn’t even put my mat back on correctly on the drivers side. Don’t come here unless you want to have to double clean your car. Don’t waste your hard earned money on a job they clearly aren’t working hard for. Oh and I didn’t get an air freshener either.

For spending the money for a full interior and exterior detail, I cannot be more disappointed. I had my teen take my car to aqua clean because I was busy packing our home up getting ready to move. I wanted to have my car detailed before we went cross country. When he brought it back I was shocked. It had not been vacuumed out, the cup holder, side compartments, door panels, the screen, nothing had been wiped down. There was still trash, a few receipts left in my cup holders. As my son his new to driving, he didn't know to remove all the trash. But the fact that they just left it in there and didn't clean it shocked me. It looked like they just did a quick wipe down on the dashboard and that was it. Horrible service I don't write reviews often, but this is unacceptable.

Remodeled in 2025, took away oil changes, and now make the customer do everything for DOUBLE the price. l used to drive up and have everything taken care of (Full service car wash, vacuum, window wash etc) while I relaxed in the AC all for $24. Now you have to drive your own car through the wash, and if you want the same car wash, vacuum, and window wash It will set you back $40-$60+tip. I'd much rather go somewhere else and get my car professionally detailed for that price instead of feeling ripped off here.

1st time back since the remodel and I'm super pleased with the decision and quality. I can be in-and-out in 3 minutes and they're even running a $9.99/mo unlimited promo right now so I can keep going back whenever I want and keep my car looking great! I don't understand some of the previous reviews, my cars have always come out perfect (pre-remodel & now), the people are incredibly friendly, and I love to see a business making improvements that fit my lifestyle and needs - thanks and keep up the good job, Aqua Clean!

AVOID!! Waste of $40 . Not real “full service.” don't pay for interior service ($20) Aqua Clean’s remodel turned it into a basic drive-through wash like Soapy Joe’s. You either clean your own interior or pay $20 extra for “full service.” I paid. They spent about 5 minutes wiping and vacuuming. That’s it. When I drove home, I noticed tons of spots still dirty — dust, missed areas, clearly not cleaned. $20 for a quick swipe is a joke. Felt ripped off. I won’t be back. You’re better off going to Soapy Joe’s for the same thing and paying less.

Brought a Honda Fit to get washed. Brush in car wash broke off the side mirror trim piece on top. Spoke to the Supervisor and he was very rude and uncooperative. His response was, “what do you want me to do?” He ended up walking away with no assistance. Horrible customer service and didn’t care to address the issue. Although I was able to put it back on it’s scratched.

Had a very good and positive experience here today. Car came out very clean with most of the embedded dirt gone. They did not try to push a membership down my throat, which was so refreshing for a change in comparison to other car washes in East County. Since they were slow, I received a complementary dry, which was very much appreciated. Only negative was that the turn was very tight at the entranceto align my wheels with the track inside the car wash. I have a very small car so I would imagine someone with a larger vehicle would have an even more difficult time. Very glad to have Aqua Clean open again!

Just went here for the first time today, and all i can say is that they killed it for me and my F-250!!! My experience was great!! I see people complaining about the $20 full service fee, but if you think it out, they are right in there price wise as all the other full service offering washes (there are not that many) in the La Mesa, Rancho San Diego, Spring Valley, and El Cajon areas. But here's the deal... Aqua Clean does everything well!!! And in around 10 min. and that is HUGE for me!! I used to use a full service wash in Casa De Oro, and the last time i was there everyone there waited 50 -60 minutes!! Prior to that it was always at least 30 min. They did not have enough workers to handle it, and my gosh the outcomes became horrible!! You wait that long and then get a crappy job??? Unacceptable!! I had to move on, and now i have found what i have been looking for!!! Thank you to all that helped me so kindly today!!

We used to come for the full detail, they recently remodeled and now are more of the drive thru model, but what I love is they still have a full service option so they will still vacuum and wipe down to get a full clean. They are very quick, great customer care and they have clean restrooms! They also offer monthly memberships, I just wish they would offer a monthly membership that also includes the full service, but you can get the monthly membership. The highest one is $40 a month. You can come as much as you want, but for each full detail, you have to pay an extra $20. So not crazy, but would love an option of monthly, including the full detail. Highly recommend!

I found out about aqua clean in 2021 when I bought my house in the La Mesa/ Lake Murray area. This was my go-to car wash and I would always recommend it to people for the thoroughness/ attention to detail. I recently moved back to the area and noticed that they had remodeled the business and done extensive development to put in a new state of the art car wash… the looks and setup is almost identical to the more common types of express car washes in San Diego now, which I do not like at all due to the necessity to dry/ vacuum/ clean each time. AC has the option to do the self service or the complete exterior/ interior. I paid for the second tier down, which ended up being $40, which is about $10 more than before they remodeled. It looks like they didn’t even clean the inside of my car… I cut people some slack and am ok with some surfaces that look like they maybe forgot to go over the towel with, but this is inexcusable. Maybe I will give them one more go, at a different time of the day and see if the results are better, but it sucks to see that full service washes are a dying breed.
