Great location and awesome staff! They have everything you'd expect and need, but you might need some help locating it in the store. They're making the most of their small space and have everything packed in, but it can be hard to locate items on your own- the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and can help you find anything you need. We used to live within walking distance and would drop in often for odds and ends.

Excellent service and knowledgable. I needed to know the best product to treat my wooden antique loom. They were able to suggest two products. Extremely pleased with the results. I also use bike benefits that gives me 10% off products I buy. Great for a neighborhood where most of us bike.

My favorite hardware store ever. Family-owned, active in the neighborhood, an amazing stock of all hardware that you can buy by the piece as opposed to by the package. Everyone there is knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful with your hardware needs. This is what a friendly neighborhood retail store should be.

Friendly and very helpful staff. I love being able to purchase things like nails/bolts/screws individually, not an entire box when your project only needs a few. Small shop but they have managed to stock a lot of options. Paper bags, not plastic bags as well. My preferred hardware store!

I normally would not go out of my way to write a review about hardware stores, but Ace on Willy St. is truly an exemplary example of GREAT customer service. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. In addition, their prices are pretty good (maybe not quite as good as the big box stores, but certainly reasonable). I'd rather spend my money here as it truly feels like a neighborhood store. One example I'd like to share, I was moving and needed some boxes. The staff helped me find boxes and bubble wrap. I went to check out and the staff mentioned that they actually had free boxes in the back on the porch and I was welcome to look there first before buying boxes. I did just that and was extremely pleased that I saved money and the environment by using their free boxes. Please support this great business by considering going to Ace before going elsewhere!

This is a great hardware store, filled with knowledgeable friendly people. One of the best things about it is that if you live in an old house, as so many of us on this side of town do, they have special knowledge about dealing with that kind of thing. I found a plumbing part that no one else had that I needed to replace my sink.

Super helpful and friendly. The battery in my car key was dying and I didn't have a screw driver small enough to open it up. I went in expecting to just buy a screw driver and do it myself. Instead the clerk used one of their screw drivers to replace the battery for me and then only charged me for the battery.

I pop in here often for something or other. Invariably I end up spending time browsing interesting stuff while there. That's just me and hardware stores. But Willy Ace is special. Friendly staff and a little bit of most things. Love going here! Prefer it over big box stores whenever possible.

I may be the first person to ever call a hardware store experience "delightful," but this really was! The staff was able to give me very personal service, helping me pick out each item I needed, and checked me out quickly! Also there was a sweet little black dog around who also provided lovely service. I will definitely be coming here for all my hardware needs for the foreseeable future!

I was beside myself, because I was struggling, trying to install a new lock on my door. The staff at Ace on Willy Street is so helpful and friendly, and I hadn’t even bought the lock from them! Well stocked shelves line narrow aisles that carry you back to the days of the General Store. A brief, gentle reminder of days gone by... Staff is exceptionally helpful, not to mention well versed in the art of fasteners and life in general. They are genuinely friendly, upbeat, and purpose driven.
