Probably one of the best automatic car washes you'll go through. Their best wash is a little pricey at $20, but it's worth it! It has a good number of brushes, and they have buffing wheels after the wash, all automatic. The place has a lot of stuff crammed into a small area so it feels cramped. Totally worth a drop in if you need a quick but good quality wash

Giving it only two stars because my SUV was not as clean as it should have been, and the vacuums were pretty bad. Barely any power making it harder and longer to clean.

This place has gone to hell since Wiki Wiki left. Everything about the car wash looks dirty and outdated but the car wash isn’t even that old. I had to wait at the entrance because there were no employees in sight. The wash itself was mediocre then I pull around and not a single vacuum is working. Do not come here. The second picture is what I should have received but instead I had to go down the street to Sam’s car wash and pay AGAIN.

Oh my gosh, I just had the best experience at Zips Car Wash! I honestly wasn’t expecting much—I just needed a quick clean—but WOW, they totally blew me away! From the second I pulled in, everything was smooth and easy. The staff was super friendly, and the whole process felt so fast but thorough. My car came out looking like it just rolled off the showroom floor—sparkling clean, inside and out. Even the tires were shining! And the best part? The free vacuums were powerful and spotless. I actually had fun cleaning out my car, which I never thought I’d say. If you're even thinking about getting your car washed, Zips is where it’s at. 10/10—HIGHLY recommend!

Update on 05/08: No spray, and my car is not even dried.. Yes this review is after the owners response. I went there on 03/12. The pressure jet to wash away the loose dirt wasn't functioning. This means my car goes in with the very small particles which are going to get wiped away and potentially scratch the thin gloss. Next disappointment was that the water wash after the soap wasn't fully functioning (or something similar ). So when I was at the very last stage most of the soapy foam was actually blown and not 'washed'. When I came out finally, the car was still having soapy water left on it. When they dried, they left marks on the shine. And not that I bother much about it but the tyre shine never works at this station. Those rollers do roll but they don't actually put a black coat on your tyres.

Went through the car wash to get 4 bird poo stains off that were an eye sore. The car wash was mediocre so it didn't seem worth the vaule. In general the car is clean but the 4 spots I wanted clean all still have residue left behind. And after coming out of the was there where other few minor spots that didn't get clean elsewhere on the car too.

Damaged Car- you respond only to give me the run around, I have already submitted my request for my car right side mirror to be repaired the day of damage occurred with your manager. Your response is another disappointment in your service! Here you go… Damage Car…. Zip Car Wash you finally responded to my contact after I stated that I will give your business a bad review until my vehicle is repaired. It’s been over a week since I heard back from management! Prior to that it took you months to respond. So here you go….I have been accustomed for two years and my right back side of my mirror has been damaged by your equipment. I have called, emailed, and talk to your staff members and had given my number for Corporate and/or the regional to contact me. No response response it’s unacceptable. I support you. Why can’t you support me as your customer and get my mirror repaired? I want my membership canceled! I have two vehicles that I have your service for and one is a Toyota Camry and the other Toyota Yaris . And I have used another of your services in Pineville, North Carolina where I work I have not had any issues with that Car Wash only the one in Charlotte where I live and where I initially started my subscription with you all, and I will give you all the negative review until my car is repaired.

My experience at the Zip Car Wash was disappointing, particularly at the payment section. I was frustrated to discover that the only accepted payment methods were card or car wash cards. If you want to use cash or Apple Pay, you have to track down an employee for assistance. It took me five minutes to find someone who could help with my mobile payment. Once I was finally through to the car wash, I noticed that one of the machines on the right side was out of order, failing to clean that side of my vehicle. Additionally, the space between vehicles is poorly designed, making it challenging to avoid bumping into the car in front of you. When I moved on to the complimentary vacuum area, I was underwhelmed by the vacuum's suction power—it simply wasn’t strong enough to effectively clean the dirt and dust from my car's interior. Overall, my experience here was far from satisfactory, and the lackluster attitude of the employees didn’t help. As a customer, I expected much more.

If you plan on going to Zips Car Wash on N Tryon for a car wash please be aware that if any damage happens to your car they will leave you hanging. On 12/5/22 I went through the car wash and their brush machine comepletely destroyed the windshield wipers on my Audi. On the site I filed an incident report, and was told the regional manager would be contacting me within 72 hours with a “resolution”. However, today makes it officially 72 hours and nobody bothered to contact me. I had to follow up myself and go back to the car wash today just for the “manager” to tell me that they do not honor claims or fix damages on vehicles that are 6 years or older even though they are liable for the damage and about 90% of the cars that come through there do not meet the criteria. However, this is not over that is why Civil Court and the Better Business Bureau exist. BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR.

My car wasn’t fully cleaned so I asked to go through the wash again but the attendant refused to let me even after I explained my car wasn’t fully washed. Used to come here faithfully until now. Will not be coming back

I’ve never written a review before, but this experience definitely deserves one! While cleaning the interior of my car, I accidentally locked my keys inside. I went to the counter to ask if I could borrow a phone to call AAA, and the staff immediately jumped into action to help me. One of the employees even went next door to Pacific Tires to ask if they could assist. Thanks to them, Pacific Tires came over and unlocked my car free of charge. The team at Zips Car Wash went above and beyond, showing genuine kindness and teamwork. If you’re looking for a place that not only does a great car wash but also has amazing, hardworking people, I highly recommend this Zips!

Not only is this car wash located in a sketchy area, but it’s also extremely difficult to get in and out of. The entrance goes through a busy car maintenance shop that’s always packed with vehicles, making the turns in and out very tight and inconvenient. On top of that, the basic wash costs $2 more than Sam’s Xpress but doesn’t even come close in quality. They don’t pre-rinse or spray down the car before entering the wash, so bugs, bird droppings, and dirt are never fully removed from the windshield or hood. I also wouldn’t feel comfortable getting out of my car here to vacuum or wipe it down due to the location and overall environment.

Not a good wash at all. The service is awful, today the guy had an extremely bad attitude, smacking his lips and also the car had the same bird poop. Didn't remove the dirt but expanded the dirt all over the place. Also all the vacuums are taken and the wait time is more than 15min. Really bad experience.

I took my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee through the automatic wash and could clearly hear the equipment scraping against my vehicle while it was in motion. The sound was alarming enough that I immediately exited the wash and inspected my vehicle. There were visible scratches and damage that were not present prior to entering. I went inside to report the issue right away. Not only was I concerned about the damage, but the store itself smelled strongly of marijuana, which did not create a professional atmosphere. The manager on duty sent one of their associates took photos of my vehicle for the report, but the pictures were rushed and poorly taken. I expressed concern that the documentation did not properly capture the damage to the manager but no further action was taken. Several weeks later, my claim was denied. Given the poor quality of the photos submitted and the lack of thorough documentation, I strongly believe this contributed to the denial. I have since attempted to escalate my concerns to higher management and have received no response. This has been, without question, the worst car wash experience I’ve ever had. I expected professionalism, accountability, and care for customers’ property — none of which I received. I would not recommend this location based on my experience to ANYONE!
