Once was a decent wash when it was Lightening McClean now it's garbage. Went to another location earlier to find machines taped off and no one around. Arrived at this one SAME THING except I was stuck in line. Finally, a lady comes over and says this is member only lane, sign above the kiosk says pay here?!?! Then I pay for wash $30?!?!?! Go through and the front and mirrors are still covered in bugs, no tire shine on the tires and I paid $30 for this garbage??? Bringing a fleet of vehicles to the area and will block these from corp cards so drivers can not use them. Grounds were littered with trash, old towels lying around. The investor(s) should consider looking into their management if they are not local, they have a mess on their hands, the only thing that will keep them afloat at this rate is they are the only or one of few in the area and have bought out others and options are slim. They would get crushed in NoVA and RVA by their competitors. Tighten up

As soon as we entered the car wash, someone came to your window and helped select the type of wash. The employee was kind and polite and also mentioned about the discount that we can use on our next washer within a few days. Even though this is an automatic car wash, there’s someone who washes your window and gives you an air fresher. After washing, you can choose to vacuum your car for free and to top it off, they have clean towels to wipe the inside of your car. The facility is clean and the employee cleans up trash throughout. Id recommend this car wash to anyone! By far, the best car wash I’ve used!

I just wanted to shout out McKenzie at Zips Car Wash!! She seriously made my day. From the moment I pulled up, she greeted me with such a warm, genuine attitude. I had a couple of questions about the wash packages, and she took the time to explain everything without making me feel rushed or pressured. It might seem like a small thing, but that kind of kindness and patience goes a long way. The wash itself was great, but honestly, it was McKenzie’s customer service that stuck with me. You can tell she takes pride in what she does. People like her make all the difference!

I came in for a Carwash and the attendant told me that they had a deal where you got the first 2 months free . He said I could cancel at the end of 2 months or stay on at regular price . They immediately charged my card and refused to refund it when I called . They claim there never was 2 months free . They could have had a long term customer but now I will use a different Carwash and never go back there . One other thing there vacumm system is useless , almost no suction .

Used this car wash for several years with no issue. Bought a brand new car, and ran it through a week later to drive out with significant damage to a back panel. Looked like the wash material had burned the top layer of paint off. Immediately notified management (while still in the parking lot), took pictures, and completed an incident report. After numerous phone calls, management’s position was that it was the car manufacturer’s fault. This was after they admitted that they have video footage of me driving into the car wash with a damage-free vehicle. Paid for $300+ in body work to be completed to fix the problem, and management would take no responsibility. My husband and I refuse to return, so they lost 2 long time customers over their refusal to take responsibility for the damage.

They might be busy but it never takes that long. The actual brushes are far better And far more effective than just high pressure car washes. The included vacuums are strong and no time limit. They also have window and interior cleaning products.

Mckenzie is a great cashier i’ve ever met!! She was very kind and gave me the best deal on the wash. I really liked the way my car looked after and she was definitely helpful. I think i got the premier wash so but it was definitely worth it.

Vacuums were actually working, which has been a problem at this location lately. As a monthly member that’s kind of a basic provision so I was thankful for that. It also looked like there were cones (several!) out for spaces that might have broken vacuums, so that’s an improvement although having most if not all the vacuums repaired would merit a higher rating. Trash was being picked up, workers were friendly, and the new management introduced themselves to check on my experience and offer a freshener. Another improvement. Keep all this up and keep it maintained and I will keep my membership, but if the place goes downhill as before, I will look elsewhere. It’s not worth the price when the basics aren’t provided!

Horrible customer service. Every time I come here there are coworkers standing in the corner smoking marijuana and don’t seem to care there are customers on the lot that smell it. There has also been times where one coworker was outside screaming on the phone cussing someone out. Extremely unprofessional.

I initially visited this car wash a few months ago and, at the time, I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the service. However, I recently returned and was pleasantly surprised by the significant improvement. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in management, but the service was outstanding. My car was thoroughly cleaned, and I was especially impressed by how well the tires were detailed. As a parent, keeping my car clean can be a challenge with all the dirt and leaves my kids track in, but the vacuuming was extremely effective. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, taking the time to show me how to use the equipment properly. Because of this positive experience, I decided to sign up for a membership. The cost savings compared to paying per wash is definitely worth it, and given the level of service I received, I look forward to returning regularly. Highly recommend!

The service has always been good and typically the results are fine, but today the car wash ate my car and I'm very sad :( I'll have to get some touchup paint or get the paint redone. Also get a new piece for the car. Can't really say I'm mad, just disappointed 😔 (turns out the piece is called a "side scuttle" which is interesting 😂) The staff however were incredibly helpful with filing a damage claim, big thanks to the staff :)

I had a great experience thanks to McKenzie. From the moment I pulled up, her smile and positive personality made the whole process easier and more enjoyable. When I ran into a problem with the vacuums, she didn’t just brush it off she actually took the time to clean them out herself and make sure they were working properly before I used them again. That kind of patience and customer care is rare these days, and it really stood out to me. McKenzie turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a smooth and positive experience. She truly went above and beyond, and I’ll definitely keep coming back because of the excellent service. Thank you!

What was once a 4 star experience with Lightning McClean has rapidly turned into a 1 star with Zips. My family worked in the car wash industry since the beginning of the 60s in South Carolina and I know what it means to run a good operation. These people could not care less about the quality of your car wash. And when you don’t even pressure wash people‘s cars before they go through the tunnel or hit it with any type of bug spray Prior to the curtain hitting it, all that bug and car debris is just ending up on the curtains, which will inevitably leave streaks on everybody’s car that goes through this place. My wife took her car in for the last time today and I’ll be going by in the next several days to cancel our membership. She went in with limited amount of bugs on the front and came out with the same amount. I immediately went by the gas station and did a light scrub on the windshield to clean the bugs, and they came right off. This place is a joke and is suffering from the owner not providing any type of quality control. Do better. And please don’t leave some canned response similar to every reply you’ve provided to a 1 star review.

I spent $24. Front to rear the top was not clean. McKenzie said no rewashes, here's a card. Called and DENIED refund. "No guarantee wash will clean your car" AVOID. They take your money with zero service. Too bad, so sad for you.

Poor quality wash job. Attendant at the beginning made little to no effort with the pressure washer on the drivers side only. No attention to the passenger side at all. After going through the $18 wash, the passenger side clearly needed more attention. The girls working inside said no rewash corporate policy and sorry nothing they could do and handed me a card to a phone number in the Midwest somewhere. Vacuum had little to no suction, no towels to wipe down. Bugs still all over the front bumper and headlights. Last time I waste money at Zips.

Car wash is ok. Definitely not great. Car is never fully clean. EVERYTIME I go the vacuums are either not working or completely clogged so you can't use them. Only 3 or 4 working vacuums out of 20ish, so you're not getting your money's worth since you can't vacuum or you're waiting around forever for one of the few working ones to clear up. Attendants pressure you to upgrade wash. "You better not be getting the basic".

I want to give recognition to the young lady Ms.Mckenzie! Even though she was working completely by herself, she kept everything running so smoothly and with such a positive attitude. She was literally running back and forth helping everyone, and she still managed to greet every customer with a smile. Her energy, hard work, and friendliness really stood out and made the whole experience so much better. Even with someone yelling at her during my visit she still managed to keep a positive attitude and handled the situation perfectly. McKenzie truly went above and beyond, and she absolutely deserves recognition. Amazing job, I will be back!!

I was told at the Forest location that I could request for vacuums to be turned on in times of rain. That they wouldn’t stay on but I could request for them to be turned on. I was told this by the hiring manager for the managers at the Forest location as I was in the process of cancelling my membership. When I arrived at this location today I was told emphatically that the vacuums would not be turned on. So I drove to the Forest location and was given the same information. This is NOT a reflection on the employees. The employee at the Forest location was extremely helpful and we worked out a solution to get my back seat to an acceptable standard for ride share. I am trying to understand the conflicting information I was given. This is a reflection on leadership. There seems to be differing answers every time I visit a Zip’s location. I can understand “rain protocol” but what I can’t understand is being told one thing and then delivered the exact opposite. Wish Zip’s would get it together. Both for the employees sake (they are doing their best and generally amazing people) as well as my own. They deserve consistency and the customers deserve consistency. Not the best experience and a 15 minute wash and clean turned into an hour long ordeal. Is this how you do business?
