Hours are horrible they are not open long enough for someone who works five days a week and commutes to Portland daily. I have Sundays and Mondays off. Otherwise they seem to get the sap off well and it doesn't scrape the undercarriage like other carwashes, because my car is small and low to the ground . I like the way it washed.

After our 3 year old truck left us stranded on the side of I5 with our travel trailer, kiddo, and dog, this was the only rental company the dealership would go through and cover the cost while the warranty work to replace the motor in our truck was done. They refused to give us a vehicle to pull our trailer with and told us no dogs allowed in the rental. They ended up giving us a Jeep renegade (overrated golf cart) and luckily a friend was able to drive from out of town and haul our trailer and give our dog a ride. When we picked up the renegade we advised them that we needed a truck to haul the trailer (there’s a reason we bought a truck in the first place and not a car) and that we lived on a gravel driveway more suited for a pickup. They gave us the renegade anyways and we were left on our own to find someone to haul our trailer (and dog). When I dropped the car back off they made a comment about how dirty the outside was (remember we live on a gravel road) AND said “just for reference, next time you should clean out the inside before dropping a rental off”. For the record, we warned them we had a toddler prior to pickup and the inside was cleaned of most messes prior to dropping it off, but of course it needed to be vacuumed. Isn’t that their job? Rent out and maintain their fleet?? I certainly hope their is no “next time” for dealing with this company and the dealership.

My car died the night before an important trip, they were able to get me into a car and on my way before 12. I should mention it was the forth of July weekend and alot of places had no or limited vehicle's available. But I was able to get a nice car with good milage which I appreciated Very much.

I don't think I was treated right, took 6 hrs to purchase vehicle and everything was not good I have Parkinson's and I hurt bad after this long experience. Plus vehicle not as said, but to late it's mine.

We rented an almost brand new 7 passenger Dodge for a trip to and from San Diego before Christmas and after checking with other car rentals in Salem selected Withnell. We were very happy with their personal service and clean, well maintained rental vehicle. So much so, we have again asked them to provide us with another vehicle for our next trip. We liked the fact that the rental vehicles are serviced and maintained by their dealership while the other car renters seem not to care as much as Withnell does about the quality and safety of their rental vehicles. Also, when all was said and done, Withnell was less expensive than all other rental car providers in Salem.

*Update: my 2nd experience was awful, unfortunately. I will not be returning, ended up in tears. WHITHNELL RENTAL IS AMAZING! I have dealt with many car rental agencies up and down the west coast, Hawaii, and beyond and I have never had a smoother renting experience, helpful team, easy to contact, and great rates! I will only rent here in Salem, Or! Thank you!

So glad for Whithbell car rental. I needed a last-minute rental and they were more than happy to accommodate my request. Not only was the customer service great they were more than willing to ensure that I had a great understanding of the vehicle I was driving. They will be my first pick the next time I need a rental. Manager is very helpful, friendly, and funny. It is always nice to come in for a quick wash. There is almost never a line and the car comes out sparkly clean especially with a quick pre scrub . Renting cars from this same location is also so nice they are extremely accomodating for example when I had warranty work done on my truck and didn't want to have to transfer myself and my son and carseat stroller etc from car to car to car to car so they didn't mind letting me drop the rental off at the service area up the street and transfer straight back into my truck. The attendant even kept my son entertained while I clicked the carseat in 😊👶

We rented two vans. The vans were fine and served our purpose well. I am, however, disappointed in the customer service. During check in, the employee was abrasive/rude through the whole process (talking down to us and complaining about customers). He did say "we don't hesitate to charge a cleaning fee." They weren't kidding. They charged us extra for having to vacuum (on top of the already high rate). I should have taken warning from all the other complaints about poor customer service and extra cleaning fees. Be prepared if you must choose this company.

Love this car wash! It's affordable and quick, so it's my favorite in town. You have the option to use their large brushes to remove any road grime before you enter the car wash. Once you enter, the machine moves around your car instead of your car moving through on a track.

These guys helped us out more than I could explain. We bought a car from them for years prior, when the car was rear ended we couldn’t find a rental because of a holiday weekend. As a last ditch effort we came to withnell and without hesitation they hooked us up with a loaner no questions asked. Zero benefit to them, no promises, no commitment they just helped us out.

This wash is a little old and worn, but the attendant is always friendly, and the price is right. You'll get best results if you use the brushes provided (on back middle of your car, the entire lower portion on both sides, and under door handles) before entering the wash. I didn't do this and my car was pretty dirty there still. These guys happily let me go through a second time with the tips provided above, even though I only bought the 4 dollar wash. Now that I know where to scrub, next time will be better. Convenient location, especially when headed north on commercial st.

The car was very nice and clean, no problems what so ever.found out partway through the week we would need car a day or two longer,when I stopped in to let them know they said no problem and would settle up when we turned car in. I will recommend then to anyone in the Salem region to rent from them.

Withnell Car Rental met and exceeded all my expectations. The car was nice and super clean, ran smoothly, no problems at all. Great customer service and most importantly affordable and not anywhere close to Portland scam prices. Somehow it costs more money to rent a car in Portland than the plane ticket to fly there from Dallas, TX. I will definitely rent from here again the next time I come back to the Pacific Northwest. If you are from out of state like me make sure to have a copy or pic of your insurance. Thanks Withnell!

While looking for a car to rent i found withnel Hyunadai and got a quote more than $200 cheaper than hertz and enterprise. Suspecting a scam i called withnel directly. It was legit! They. Made my reservation without asking for a card or making me answer a thousand questions. The guy was polite! When we arrived we did a little paperwork and I was off and running in a hyudai Sonata. The car was nice, and clean. Gas mileage was great. One of the things I liked about them was the ability to return on the weekend. Several other rental places wanted fri or mon return, and we were leaving on a Sunday. I'm very impressed with the entire experience. So if you want a nice car without cashing in a bond, give them a try. The $200 i saved went to a really nice dinner! Score!
