The WinCo in the town I used to live in was not a very good shopping experience as I gave that store and location a one star rating. This particular WinCo in Salem Oregon on the other hand seem to be much better. I will say that the prices are very good at this location on everything except the meat department. I deducted one star because when I was in the meat department they had some New York strip steaks for a super cheap price but there was more fat than meat on them and I did not understand that and they were extremely small The price was low I would imagine because of how much fat was on the stakes. Other than that I would recommend the store good prices.

Winco was true to form. Atmosphere and layout never changes from state to state. Most prices were reasonable with a few exceptions for non food items.

I would not consider this a “huge” store, but it is a healthy size. There is also a healthy selection of brands, sizes, flavours, etc. in all departments and in all aisles. I am grateful, too, that there is a deli, fish, produce, bulk, and dairy departments, and just about any kind of category of section in this location. As a whole, employees are very helpful and knowledgeable in their area where they work, and even if you ask him a question about something where they don’t normally work, either they will know the answer, or they will take you to someone who can. Going to the grocery store isn’t particularly an “exciting” experience to me, and there’s nothing overly outstanding about this store/location/the staff/et cetera, but it is a decently safe and relatively consistently clean place to do your shopping. Since most of my shopping consists of produce, I am grateful for the selection of variety that they have. Wherever it is that you need to shop in the store, you are likely to find a staff member somewhere in the near vicinity, and they are generally very pleasant as they assist you find what you are looking for.

Good store, huge, good prices for many things. Tip: don't assume bulk is cheaper. I got both chocolate chips and walnuts cheaper on the shelf.

Dirty. Unorganized. Poor produce quality. Slow checkers. Lady who often works self checkout is rude and unhappy to be at work, constantly rushing customers. Checkers in the regular lanes are so slow and never enough of them. Overall I am underwhelmed with Winco In Salem. Other winco in other areas of the state and in CA especially are beautiful and efficiently staffed with higher quality produce. Sad that this one has run I to the ground being such a major hub in the PNW.

Pretty much can't beat the prices they've got, the employees are mostly helpful and kind. Even their Loss Prevention is pretty cool. I like that it seems like they are constantly stocking their shelves. They are almost never out of what I want.

You really do find items for less, cashier's are friendly. Meat selection is great. Didn't give 5 stars cuz no frozen cauliflower to be found unless you want broccoli mix, I don't.

WinCo is my favorite place for grocery shopping. I do wish they accepted credit cards, but other than that, I find their prices are mostly lower than other places. The store is clean and fairly easy to get in and out of.

This place understands. It has great prices, please type of stock, and treats their employees better than most other companies. I'd rather support them!

Solid 24 hour grocery store. Has the staples plus some. Good coffee selection, nice produce area and the bulk area is a life saver. Recommend very early (pre 9am) or very late (post 6pm) shopping.

It's an older location but I do like to shop here a lot! I highly recommend checking out with Ryan S. ! He goes above and beyond for everyone! He's usually on register 8.

The business model of this WinCo is clearly to be as unfriendly to your customers as possible. Oh here's another great idea...block all the aisles with boxes so nobody can shop. There's a genius store manager behind this location 🙄.

Great place to shop late at night for regular groceries. The only place in Salem you can. I live to head here after I get off at 12am. Security is great I do feel safe shopping here at night. I love that I can always find what I'm looking for.

Amazing service and food but the person from the deli “Maeve” I think was Their name. Anyways they extremely rude, after my mother had asked if they could do half and half pizza with supreme and pepperoni. I would have totally understood if they politely said that they couldn’t do that. Instead they very rudely said no and then after we ordered practically threw the change at my mom and some of it even fell on the floor and didn’t even say “oh I’m sorry” or anything. I totally understand if they were tired and overworked but that’s not an excuse for treating people that way.(I don’t normally write reviews but this just got on my nerves so much)

The store was, as always, good except for a couple of things. I was trying to use one of three scooters as occasionally as a senior, I need a little help. Two of the three were in use but the third was not charged and could not be used. Both the customers and the store personnel could have alleviated this by simply plugging them in. The only other issue I had was customers do not seem to understand common courtesy by not obstructing aisles. While I do not blame the store or the employees, I just felt it needed to be said. The produce, meats, and bakery goods were very good once you could get to them. The cashiers and other employees were very friendly and helpful. Prices were what we come to expect from WinCo.

I recently visited WinCo Foods in Salem, Oregon, and had a great shopping experience. The store is well-organized and offers a wide variety of products at competitive prices. I particularly appreciated the bulk section, which allows for buying just the right amount of items. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my visit enjoyable. Overall, a solid choice for grocery shopping!

This lady legit won’t let someone check out with 18 items…. But make us wait in extensive lines. It should be under 20 and let people handle their groceries to get out sooner.

Have always enjoyed shopping at Winco. Great prices, no need for an app, or to download coupons etc. Straightforward, and good prices. Employees are friendly and hard working. One sad thing I've noticed the past two times I've shopped there this year is the absence of the fresh cooked ham from the deli. Sad to see it gone, was told they didn't have it anymore, and hoping it will come back. The Turkey/ham they have now just isn't the same.
