They are really fixing this place up. One of the cheapest places to get groceries. They have remodeled so the aisle are alot wider, which is so nice considering how many people that are always there. They have a deli with fried chicken and other good things. They also just built an area where they make pizzas, churros, and smoothies!

All of the equipment is old and dirty. The food belts are nasty. You would think with the amount of business this place does they would at least keep the belts at checkout clean. The parking lot is an accident waiting to happen. People walking behind vehicles that are backing up. It was a mess

I've always enjoyed shopping with WinCo Foods store. Whatever town I'm in and wherever I have a need to shop the selection and the service & great prices keep me coming back for more.. The employee's never seem happy though and that's a trend that the front line appears wherever I go.. Sounds like poor Management issues.. Everything else is great, the potato wedges are amazing and taste delicious for $1.99lb, compare to raley's an Safeway at $8.99 per pound. Delicious chicken, and other Deli items prepared fresh, kept fresh and served fresh all day with great prices.. Thank you WinCo for helping me stretch my Dollar...

I really like Winco for its variety and especially the bulk food aisle. Only think I wish is that they would post their weekly sales online.

Great low prices. Premade meals, salads, sandwiches, hot chicken and potato wedges amongst other things. Great pizza for a 1.25 a slice. Way better than celestinos pizza. Only store in town that's actually open 24 hours. I love the produce as well. They got Walmart beat by a longshot.

They are still remodeling so it's a little cramped in spots. Otherwise it's a great store employees are helpful it's clean well stocked even right before the holidays. I can't beat there prices. I shop there as often as I can get to Chico.

Idaho owned/ Employee owned. If you don't need bulk and you want great prices this is a fantastic choice. I love their sourdough bread.

WinCo, while parking is usually a mess, is a great place to shop. Prices are usually pretty reasonable. They have great bulk items and inlove the fresh peanut butter and coffee. It is never a quick in and out because it is always packed. That is the only reason for not giving 5 stars. Bit the reason it is always packed is because it is a great place to shop.

WinCo is an employee owned store and it shows. They are happy and helpful at most times, they are still people after all. They have great products at great prices.

DEBIT CARD SKIMMING ALERT I ONLY USE MY DEBIT CARD AT THIS STORE AND A SKIMMER STOLE CARD INFO. BEWARE WHEN USING AT THIS STORE. STORE EMPLOYEE SAID THEY HAVE NEVER FOUND A SKIMMER AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE. Update: Called in the morning, spoke to a female (lead or manager?) who was rude about me even brining up the topic. This is the only place this could have happened. She assumed I called to demand some kind of refund and told me to call corporate, which I already told her I was simply trying to inform them to do checks as everyone knows Winco POS systems are the worst in town. She responded as it it wasnât even possible! What year is she living in? My wife joked that this store might even have employees doing the skimming as they have some questionable people working there to begin with. The rude attitude led me to call corporate after all as this store simply does not care about a customer inquiring about concerns with their low security pos systems, which does not use tap to pay and barely works for chip, no security tape on pos systems. Bad attitudes at this store, I live in this neighborhood and now I will second guess even shopping here from this experience. I guess you get what you pay for after all.

I rated this store 4 stars because they do not accept credit cards. However, the Chico store offers great prices compared to other grocery stores! The produce is always fresh and healthy, with plenty of discounts and specials. While I typically donât buy meat here, I do recommend the 10 lb ground beef (80% lean), which is the best deal around. The fresh bread selection, including bagels and loaf bread, is also a nice bonus. I donât purchase coffee from here since Iâm not a fan of their generic brand. As for the shopping experience, I find this place to be mostly drama-free, and interactions with employees across all departments are generally pleasant. Be sure to check out my other ratings to see where I buy my meat, coffee, and other items.

if you're into deals on groceries , then you'll love this grocery store! Produce is great, deli is decent (it's no Save Mart), meats are solid including pre-cooked meats, and bulk foods is primo! You cannot beat the prices on canned/ boxed/dry groceries and drinks. And one more thing you're going to want to know is that WinCo only takes cash or debit.

WinCo has everything I need. WinCo brands are great too! The WinCo chocolate chips are better than Nestle brand, on par with the brands that cost 3 times as much. This WinCo has a new food counter and the pizza was good. The employees are pleasant and the store is well stocked and well organized. I definitely recommend WinCo and this one in particular.

Many immigrants like to bring food from their home country, but they sometimes find it harder to explain these items to airport customs officers. Fortunately, these foods are easily found at WinCo at affordable prices.

WinCo Foods is hands-down one of the best grocery stores in the area, especially if you're looking to stretch your budget without sacrificing too much quality. As someone who shops regularly at the San Jose locations, I keep coming back because the prices are unbeatableâoften 20-40% lower than places like Safeway or Whole Foods on staples like produce, meat, dairy, and pantry items. Their bulk section is a standout: you can grab rice, beans, spices, nuts, candies, and baking supplies in exactly the amounts you need, which is perfect for avoiding waste and customizing recipes. The produce is fresh enough for everyday use, and I've scored great deals on fruits, veggies, and even organic options that are surprisingly affordable. The meat department offers solid cuts at rock-bottom pricesâthink cheap ground beef, chicken, and pork that grills up just fine for family meals. Their bakery items, like fresh bagels and dough for homemade cinnamon rolls, get rave reviews from folks I know, and the overall selection feels abundant without the pretentious markup you see elsewhere. Employee-owned vibe means the staff is usually friendly and helpful, and the no-frills warehouse-style setup keeps things efficient (bring your own bags and bag your own groceriesâit's part of the charm that keeps costs down). That said, one real disappointment is the disappearance of the cold Green Dragon energy drinks from the cooler section. Those were my go-to cheap Red Bull alternativeâtasted almost identical (that classic taurine-citrus kick), came in chilled cans, and were only about 85 cents or so. They were perfect for a quick pick-me-up while shopping or on the go. I haven't seen them in ages, and it's a bummer because nothing else in the energy drink aisle matches that value and flavor combo. WinCo, if you're listening, bring them back! Overall, though, WinCo remains my top choice for smart, everyday shopping. The savings add up fast, the variety is impressive for the price, and it's hard to beat for feeding a household on a budget. Highly recommendâ5 stars minus half a point for the missing Green Dragon
