Wow! I was really impressed with this store. I've lived in the neighborhood for a while now and hadn't given them much thought. I recently went in the other day looking for a new houseplant. I was relieved to see that they have great locally grown plants. The store was especially clean, extremely well organized and easy to navigate. While exploring I found this store fully stocked with a great selection of several price points. They had plenty of knowledgeable staff in the store and all of them seemed genuinely glad to see me shopping there and went out of their way to be sure customers received a friendly invitation to ask questions if needed. The staff made direct eye contact and gave me and others in the store their undivided attention and by that I mean say that the staff wasn't letting people stand around... No one was zipping by saying "someone will be right with you". In all was really impressed and recommend you stop in and give them the opportunity to show you that you are truly valued in their store!

I bought some pokemon cards from this location for my daughter not realizing west salem ace hardware had it marked up an extra 65$ over retail price and even 30$ over what you can buy it online via popular websites. No returns accepted, I didn't know ace hardware could take part in scalping products, and didn't think they would. I come here alot for work but I will now take my business elsewhere.

I have been a customer of this store for 70 years. I usually go there for nuts and bolts as it has a good metric selection. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is a good size not so big as to be difficult to find things yet large enough to offer a good selection.

I entered today with average expectations. 1. They are going through an interior remodel, so things are in disarray. 2. I was looking for something that people don't normally do. I met Norm! He jumped right in to help and was off and searching for items to complete my requested product. I would love tonprovode more details but we agreed to the Husband Code!! Where he makes it happen but my wife gives me the credit. Norm was terrific and very helpful. If you have any honey do-lists from the spouse you can count on Norm for secrecy! Hehe

I have been shopping at this Ace Hardware since I moved into the neighborhood 4 years ago, and they are the most kind and welcoming folks. Whether it was keys, random nuts and bolts, or plumbing help their associates had my back and helped me out every step of the way! Shout outs: The old Chainsaw guy Mike, the nice older lady up front, Ruth, Jasmine, and Trevor up front, and Alex, Connor, Anna, Robert, and Maria inside of the store! They’re the best!!

I gave them 4 stars because I love Ace Hardware and I've always gotten friendly service but I didntt like being asked to leave my backpack at the counter. I have spent a fair amount of $ there and the request says "we don't trust you", yet I must trust them. it may seem petty but it's a terrible feeling, cost them a star

I called to ask about Christmas tree stands and was treated very poorly. When I mentioned that online it showed a specific stand available for pickup today, the employee snapped at me, said “I’m telling you what we have in stock,” and hung up. I was polite and simply asking a question. Extremely unprofessional customer service.

I only go here for the plants… I will say, the plants are over priced and majority of the time infested with multiple pests. But they do have a good variety of plants I don’t see at big box stores.
