As people who regularly travel, One of the cleaner and we'll kept Walmart facilities we've been to.

Currently standing in the electronics section being told there is only one person who can sell me a phone and no one can locate that person... Update after waiting for over an hour I left empty handed

Definitely the least chaotic Walmart in the Lynchburg and surrounding areas! Employees all seem friendly and focus on me as a customer regardless of the stocking or cleaning they may be doing. I genuinely do not like to be around crowds and they make is easy to be in and out quickly!!! Thanks Old Forest Road Walmart!!!

Large store, especially when shopping hardware at one end and produce at the other! It's well stocked and has trained staff. Good raspberries and asperagus today today.

Good people and fast service and overall clean business and bathrooms. Helpful staff and most all employees speak to you when you engage one of them during your trip through the store!!!!!

The self-checkout register really speeds up the checkout process, no waiting in line. Typical Walmart: Inexpensive prices, plenty of merchandise and plenty of colorfully dressed customers. I bought a pair of sneakers, and I was in an out in less than ten minutes.

8/23/2025: this seems to be the one Walmart that has employees working the registers and not just self checkout. The store's setup is confusing. I wanted a pre-made salad and they were by the self-checkout instead of in the produce section with the pre-made subs. It seems like a clean store, maybe they just need to have someone set the store up for a better flow. Plus, when you want an item from the electronics section and it's locked up with no employee around, that's frustrating. 11/8/25 store seems to be setup better.

Store is clean but double check prices. Customer service employees should have to pass a basic math test for their job. Had horrible refund experience.

Extremely angry!! I had a medication that wasn’t ready even after said would be, pharmacist gave me attitude as if she didn’t want to be bothered to fill it and asked if had to have tonight. Then proceeded to say it will probably be 15 mins or so as she points to the line of people. I’m sorry- not my problem, I am a customer too. Then after constantly looking- never received notice was ready- went back in and they closed. I am beyond pissed!! It was one I really needed for tonight and for work. I will most likely be changing pharmacies. After I get my meds and give piece of my mind. I would like to add on behalf of the Tech in Training- she went after him and totally in my observation annihilated him in front of all these customers. do they teach leadership and customer service in pharmacy school- I know risky job but you don’t erupt on a person in front of all these people. I think Walmart needs to take a look at who they employ as leaders.

The guys and girls over at online pickup are phenomenal! Kind, friendly, helpful, and very professional. The staff in the rest of the store, however... Unattentive and utterly unhelpful. Seem like they hate their job. I wonder what is going on in higher management and what is being done to ensure employee satisfaction. Update: Coincidentally, I happened to have the pleasure of speaking to a manager. Just as unattentive and unhelpful as the other employees.

Wal Mart. Thank you for supporting your local community. You have astronomical prices did somebody say Walmart lumber. Walmart petroleum fueling your energy needs Walmart electric. It all has a nice ring to it

Went in today for flowers and a card for my friends birthday. Went to self checkout as one would do if you have less than 3 items. I did not put the flowers in a bag OBVIOUSLY because they’re flowers. RIGHT? When walking out there were two older white women in front of me waiting to get their receipts checked, the lady in front of me (who was white) was able to pass with no receipt checked where as when I tried (young Hispanic girl) walking by the worker proceeded to stop me and ask for the receipt. Say I’m reaching but I found this to be disturbing in some way. There’s no reason for her to have stopped me when the lady in front of me had the same amount of items as well as a shopping cart and reassubale bag of her own. Hope that worker has a day she deserves.

Visited a couple of times in the week after a snow and ice storm swept across the country, making travel very difficult. The store was not well stocked due to travel conditions, but I was greatly impressed by the number of employees that dug themselves out of the snow and ice to show up, and their positive attitudes and willingness to help. I hope management appreciates them!

I went to the Lynchburg Walmart today at 1030 Sat am. Very bad experience. Produce people were hateful and rude to me and one older gentlemen yelled at a guy that was trying to help me. He spoke no English. The employees with carts will run over you. No excuse me, No smiles, no help from any employees. 3 other customers helped me to find things! The employees today would point vaguely in the direction of what you wanted. Never even look at you or smiled. But here is the kicker. Young kid, working in the dairy with sour cream and cottage cheese ..pulled his Walmart stocking cap off and scratched his dry scalp all over the dairy case. For at least 30 seconds. It was 11 am. Check the cameras. Tried calling a manager or talking in person. Too busy. If I had been inspecting the place, they would have been shut down. I will never go back!!!

I am visiting this area. Looked much better than my local Walmart. The place was very clean and the shelves from what I saw were neat and organized. They have a ton of Valentine's Day stuff but you better get there quick!

I counted at least 10 people up front around 7pm, but you can't have at least 1 checkout lane open? Only self-checkout? It's not hard to have 1 open. After working a long shift at work, I just want to get in and out before going home.
