I recently visited the electronics department at Walmart to purchase a PlayStation headset. The in-store price was $149, but I noticed it was $129 online. When I asked about price matching or purchasing at the lower price while I was already there, I was told to order it online and come back the next day. This was extremely inconvenient, and the manager was dismissive and unprofessional in addressing my concerns. Additionally, the employees seemed uninterested in assisting me with my purchase. This experience left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer . I went to Best Buy to buy it. good customer service the same price.129 they have it online they sell it in the store the same price 129

3:55PM in the afternoon is a strange time to close your liquor department especially when the times online say they’re open until 12AM. Maybe train your rude employees the store hours?? Or better communication other than “we’re shutting down in five minutes, I’ve got to go”???

My Walmart is on the ball. I especially like the prepared sandwich and salad area near the door where I can pop in and pick up quick lunch then check out a few steps away.

I watched an employee pull out bear spray and spray a customer who was throwing things at her. I was only about 15 feet from the employee when this happened. It caused me to cough and struggle to breath for the next 30 minutes or so. Im not a bear, I dont want to be pepper sprayed...I dont reccomend this location.

Hard to imagine a worse checkout experience. Multiple lanes with working machines arbitrarily reserved for people with a paid memberships (I have never once seen customers use these; wasted capacity). Self checkout on both ends of stores have strictly enforced 15 item limit and are hawkishly policed for theft - which means any normal trip to this "everything" store designed to offer you +15 items is relegated to traditional manned checkout lanes. This wouldnt be a problem if the traditional checkout lanes made up more than 25% of the total checkout space. As it is now, the vast majority of customers cannot access checkout lanes that take up the vast majority of space in the store. A kindergartner could design a more efficient system. This sucks

My experience with the folks in the vision center has been excellent. I recently brought a pair of too-tight frames that I purchased from a different online vendor to the vision center. On my first visit, the employee, whose name I do not recall, made several adjustments to the frames but despite her efforts, the frames still were not quite comfortable. I also had an older pair of identical frames on hand as a point of comparison and she offered to switch out the lenses from the new frames to the old frames. I decided not to do this at the time. After a few days of wearing the adjusted frames and still feeling pain, I returned to Walmart and requested that they switch out the lenses. Lakeesha helped me this time. Apparently the identical frames weren't exactly identical and it was harder than expected to simply switch out the lenses. Lakeesha went above and beyond... even going so far as to shave one of the lenses to fit better. Just an overwhelmingly positive experience during both of my visits.

After the store’s Manager told me a Blackstone Griddle was on clearance because the box was damaged because it was wet, I STUPIDLY BELIEVED HIM. He was the Manager, after all . He even helped me untape the box to see that everything looked great, (wrapped in plastic) and in good condition in the box. WRONG!!! After the Manger scanned the griddle for me to pay, he got a pallet lift to bring it to my car. Nice Right?!?!? Well, in just taking the griddle out of my car the box collapsed because it as full of rusted water. Pieces of cardboard and griddle parts went spilling out everywhere along with rusted water. When I returned the pieces of wet cardboard and rusted griddle parts, I was told by Customer Service it would be put back on clearance, “It’s WALL-MART”.

Rude management. Last week during my husbands visit there was a manager with the name of Denacea, that didn’t seem too interested in helping him. He asked for a loading cart to help get a return from his truck and she says why come up here and bother us? Why can’t he just go find it himself and laughs with the other employees. This is not management. She needs to be held accountable for poor customer service.

Thank you Mr Tim for providing outstanding professionalism and leadership, you’ve helped and understood my problem when I found the incorrect product inside an item I’ve purchased when I was turned down by employees who seems like they had better things to do then provide just that. Professionalism. To anyone who is over Mr Tim i recommend him for promotion!!! 10/10 service that I haven’t had at any Walmart in a WHILE!!

i ordered a whole set of tires off of their website and also paid to have them mounted and balanced. set the time and date for the appointment and the day of the appointment which was at 5pm at the walmart on pinhook road in lafayette la they texted saying my appointment was cancelled. so the following day i called the auto center and asked to speak to a manager. i asked the manager if my tires were in and she said they were. then i asked if they would be able to mount and balance them today. she said yes. i said are you positive, how big of a tire can your machines mount and balance. she said a 20" tire. i said no how big of a tire? she said 20" again like i was hard of hearing or stupid. i said mam thats the rim size, i ordered 37" tires that you just saw were there in your shop now im asking if you can do 37s. she walked over and asked the tire man, hey can we mount and balance 37" tires, and he said absolutely they just might take a lot of weight to balance. i said cool im on my way. i get there and pull my truck in and told them i was gonna go look around in the store. they said we will text you when its done. an hour and a half later im still in wallmart and my phone rings and its the same tire guy and he said hey im sorry but we cant do those tires. we have a weak spot on our tire machine and the manager said that we had to decline the job. then he said and my lift doesnt pick up your truck high enough. so i walked back to the auto shop and he hadnt even attempted to dismount one tire off of my vehicle. there were more blocks than he was using and couldve easily got my wheels off the ground with his lift i was parked over or a floor jack and jackstands. but no they were heavy tires and it was going to make him exert too much energy. ive never in my life seen such a lazy group of employees in a mechanic shop. ever. and its because the managers were suggesting to the workers what they should be doing. and the workers declined and kept doing whatever it was they were doing, all four of them down in the pit and not a single person working up top. it was such an aggravating thing to see such poor work ethic i just left. i will never ever go to that walmart ever again. i wouldnt care if its the last place on earth with food i will eat the grass in my backyard first. if you want to go for a simple oil change expect to wait at the very least an hour or more. its really sad how the new generation has such horrible laziness and work ethic, but the manager, she, not only didnt know a thing about mechanic work or tires, but she was an older lady and let those younger men tell her what they were gonna do. my experience was terrible.

If you don’t have your Walmart app, you need to seriously take time download it. It’s free and if you don’t have Wal-mart plus then you need to take time again and get it too because what’s in it will blow your mind. It has everything that you can imagine it so much more. It has a live Vet with Walmart plus you get the service for free to save my little dog’s life.

Bottom line, Walmart is still just a small warehouse-style superstore where you don’t really get much of an experience. They tried remodeling some locations to feel more like Target, but stopped halfway, so it’s still basically a warehouse—just smaller than Sam’s Club. Other stores like Aldi, Albertsons, and Rouses are cleaner, better staffed, and much better looking. Their stores are styled, organized, and actually pleasant to shop in. Walmart just feels outdated by comparison. It’s 2026. Either get with the times and invest in better design, staffing, and customer experience, or go back to when customers were treated better and stores had a more welcoming feel. Walmart isn’t behind because they can’t do better. They’re behind because they don’t have to. They still hit their numbers, so there’s no real pressure to change.

If you don’t have the Walmart app, you need to download it and if you don’t have Walmart plus then you need to get it. You get more back from it than any other thing. It’s the best app and they have the best merchandise.

This Walmart impressed me! It reminds me of the Walmarts in California that all have extra long aisles, displays that optimize the space, labeling of all sections, and displays that look like you are in a mall. I have included pictures of all of this. The prices are the same as the Crowley store and some are cheaper which surprised me since the Walmart on Ambassador is higher in price. Walmart has done an amazing job of redecorating this store and making it progressive. The items on clearance are at the front of the store but also on shelves throughout the store. I love this set up and the ease of finding items. Keep it up Pinhook Walmart!!
