Trying to pick up a script on a Sunday morning. Was sent in around 9 from the ER for pain meds. I called the pharmacy 2 times to see if it was ready. The 2nd time they said they would expidite it. Got to the pharmacy and the tech said it wasn’t ready. I about blew up. Pain meds from ER should be expedited at all times. Someone is in pain. Unacceptable

I've been going to this pharmacy for over 25 years. I've had trouble here and there but nothing like today. My husbands hand got this weird thing going on to the point where his doctors are saying he might need to amputate them. They put in 6 Rx all to help him keep his fingers/hands and he only came home with 4 yesterday. When I asked where his pain med was and the other he said that's all they said they had. So I called his doctor and asked if they could send them in and they said they did. So the doc called there and called me back and said wow that pharmacist is really mean just stay clear of her and I guess they just decided not to fill them. What! So I called up there and pharmacist Brianna answered with WHAT? Nice right. So I say listen please stop your attitude cuz I'll be coming to get my husbands Rxs you failed to fill and I don't want to treat you any type of way because of your attitude. She says are you threatening me! I say no... I'm not I have questions about why they weren't filled...she than says if you come here I'll call the police and hung up on me. So about an hr later I walk into there and the pharmacy assistant was super nice, idk her name but she was real nice zero complaints with her. Excellent service from her. and she asked if I wanted a consultation. YUP. I did. So I wait and a woman comes up and I ask if she is Brianna. She says yes and I ask her why his Rx weren't filled and why she had such an attitude with me on the phone. She of course now politely pushes the Rx towards me and says you can leave now. Nope. I have had so much stress that she made me break and I screamed how incompetent she was and that corporate was called and an investigation was happening and if she was the reason my husband lost his hands I would sue her and Walgreens. I'm done with the incompetent people they put in charge of handling our meds who think they can decide which med should or shouldn't be filled and given to patients. I hope she is fired. Walgreens do better! And I'll be expecting that call.

Minus 5 stars because the pharmacy tech needed help from the pharmacist who came over and implied that I am a junkie rather than a regular person. Plus 1 star because the cashiers at the front of the store are always very friendly and helpful which makes up for some of the aforementioned insult. I transferred all of my family's prescriptions to hyvee after that and somehow hyvee has never implied that I am a junkie. It's almost as if I'm a regular person and being called a junkie would be incredibly offensive to me 🤔

Don't use this Walgreens. I've been without my meds for almost 3 weeks, originally due to having to wait for a prior authorization. Well, the prior auth went through, and then I was given the roundabout for another week. Finally got told it was ready today, so I went in to pick it up. Now all of the sudden they "don't dispense it." So now I have to go through the whole process again and go for longer without my medication. Nobody told me they didn't dispense it. They clearly do not have their stuff together and don't know what they are doing.

Here it is 11:47 at night I have a sick 6 year old….knowing the pharmacy is closed I called the store for help to see if they had a few items I looked up to try to help my 6 year old be comfortable! I didn’t wanna to burden anyone with a phone call that would annoy them but I needed some assistance! So I call and got a young man that answered and let me say that he was more than willing to help and offered to place the items at the counter so I didn’t have to worry about coming and searching for them!!! He was so nice and so understanding! Brett was his name he was definitely my hero tonight!!! Awesome customer service! He was willing to go above and beyond without any questions asked!!! Thank you Brett at Walgreens on Ridgeway in Waterloo, Iowa!!!

I just want to share with Hispanic people that they should be careful at the Walgreens store when they pay with the cashier named Lori. She is very rude and treats them like they are stealing. I am a witness that she treats people who do not speak English well badly

I gave one start because I can’t put zero. Managers and staff are so rude and yell at Spanish customers in front of other customers. This is the Walgreens in Kimball and Ridgeway. Today I ordered 2 pictures and one was only white paper, so I took it back and one girl who said her name was Tea because she refused to show me her badge name. She told me that I was a scammer that I did that in purpose that i didn’t put any pictures there and I told her scammer for $3 dollars? And she told me yes, even for .50 cents and she kept yelling at me , the manager Britney was listening to everything and just smiled and left. I asked that girl her name and she refused to show me her name just kept saying her name was Tea and kept telling me that I was scamming them all the time. No it’s not scamming, this called couponing. This happened before with another worker and I talked the store manager Amie and she promised me that that will never going to happen again. So I went back and this happened again. Managers know about and they do nothing . Workers and managers are so rude and treat Spanish people in a really poor and disrespectful way. Another time I saw the manager Britney yelling to another Hispanic lady and the lady left the store crying. They have no respect whatsoever for Hispanic people. They think we all are scammers. I have a better credit score than all of them my credit score is 824 and I am not a scammers. They are racist. I will never go back to that store. I hope higher management do something to avoid this poor and offensive treatment to Hispanic customers.

Posted hours in the pharmacy window show that they open at 9:00 am. However, they don't actually open until 10:00 am. Ok. Fine. But update your flippin sign!!! Is that too much to ask?

I had a very unpleasant experience in this store. The cashier, Lori, treated a woman who didn't know English very badly, telling her that she was a shoplifter. She asked for all her receipts and started checking them. The woman looked at her and said that everything was in order. She didn't even apologize, telling her repeatedly that she had stolen. It was humiliating

I've been trying to get 1 script filled for 2 day's which they keep saying they have to call the insurance for a override but their to busy. Really 2 day's and can't get it done yet ? And it's a med that's not supposed to be stop and go kind. Thank for nothing. Several months later I was down to just a couple doses of a different and called them to check status of it and they said we're out of it and don't know when we're getting more. Couldn't send script or check another of their pharmacys either. I had to call doctor to send to different 1 of theirs which I had called to see if they had it and yes they did. Doctor sent to them. I called them to check status and they were out. I located the med again this time I went with Hyvee and finally was able to get it after getting butt chewed by Dr office about not giving them 2 days. It was for oxycodone which I need for back for the past year.

Worst pharmacy customer service ever! I walk up at 1:29 and they are shutting the windows to go on break and refuse to take 1 minute to hand over my prescription. The woman is rude and disrespectful and tells to come back in 30 minutes when their break is done. All three workers leave as she yells me they close everyday from 1:30-2:00. Maybe they need a new policy. People are in need of those prescriptions and can't always come back in 30 minutes. Worst pharmacy ever.

I had no issues here, very friendly employees, and not too long a wait. One star off only because it’s a tad pricey for some items yet would come here again if needed.

Poor service lied to about my saying they were out but it was in central processing the whole time. they just did not want to take the time to crack open the shipment that they received an inventory it. Then the pharmacy gal told me I could not open my package when I had already paid for it. Once I have paid for the goods, I own them regardless if I’ve had a consultation or not by a pharmacist

Always a pleasant experience shopping at Walgreens. A very help cashier by the name of Lori acts pleased to see me and goes out of her way to make sure my shopping experience is a pleasant one. Walgreens is lucky to have her on staff.

This Walgreens has more issues than any other location I’ve experienced- across staff interactions, product availability, and deliveries. The pharmacy is especially problematic and, in my experience, the worst in town. The staff are consistently rude, including when answering the phone, which makes already frustrating situations even worse. I would not recommend this location.

This pharmacy has gone down the last few years and has gotten so bad for its customer service that even my doctor, and my daughter’s pediatrician, have told us that this Walgreens is not a great pharmacy to use. Specific example that represents my experience the last many times I’ve had prescriptions filled here: My daughter had a simple Rx called in over a week ago. I went there yesterday to pick it up and tech said, Sorry it’s not ready but we can get to it today. Another known issue thy I’ve had happen is that they only fill a 90 day Rx for 30days at a time. Hugely annoying. That’s why we get 90 day prescriptions, so we don’t have to go every month. I asked why and they said Bc of insurance. NO- That’s not at all true! My Dr said that’s the only pharmacy they tell customers that and my Dr said it should be able to be filled for the full 90 days as he prescribed. Use HyVee, use CVS, but I would highly recommend any other pharmacy but Walgreens.

I only wish I could give them zero stars, unfortunately that isnt an option. I am reviewing their pharmacy specifically. They never know when a prescription can be filled, most of all prescriptions for diabetes. Call times are terrible. Usually 30+ minute holds. They do not have any idea what is going on with their inventory and every single associate and pharmacy technician you speak to has different information. I have been calling for a week regarding a script for an elderly family member and every single time I speak to someone they say it will be there the next day on their truck. Every single day they do not have it. Today i called to transfer the script to another pharmacy, was put on hold for 28 minutes, they opened the line, and hung up. When i called back I was informed that I have to reach out to the other pharmacy to have a transfer happened. Why put me on hold for half an hour, hang up on me, and THEN proceed to tell me you cannot do this anyways?! That entire pharmacy needs to be looked into. This is a continuous problem. The amount of times we have waited well into a week and a half to two weeks for a script is absolutely wild. They do not care about their customers what so ever. I'm absolutely urging my family member to FINALLY switch pharmacies for good because this is without a doubt unacceptable.
