OH MY WORD this place has changed after I came back from Denver, CO BRAGGING about it to many people! I should not have, most their things BREAK, doorknobs, lights, a POOL that a manager wasn’t going to take back without being pushed! They took out the nice play area for kiddos as well! Would NOT recommend anymore, better off going to the Home Depot now. They at least sell Husky tools that you can return for LIFE! Two stars for some good employees & inexpensive items that work.

Don't buy gas powered anything from here their return police is ridiculous told me i had to have a shop look at it first then sent me to the wrong store told me it wouldn't cost anything to be looked at cause of warranty had to pay to have it looked at to tell me it was junk out the box then took it back to menards was there for over an hour to get my refund and they don't know how or when I will be paid back for having the shop look at it

Great place to find a lot of good products. Most of them are even cheaper and better quality than Walmart or other retailers. If you can’t find something you may have to look but the staff is very helpful and friendly. Some items are so popular that they can’t keep the shelves stocked and sometimes are completely out of stock. Not very often does that happen though. Have been to some stores where it seemed like half the store had empty shelves. Had a friend who went there to shop and had bought some of the reusable bags that you guys carry. When he went to pay for the items he got he was asked by the cashier if he was going to pay for the bags that he had already purchased. If that’s the way it is with your bags, then why even sell them. It sounds like Menards is getting like Walmart. Always thinking that someone is stealing.

Went into store looking for a certain paint. I had a picture of it but could not find. Orlando was busy mixing paint for people, but when I showed him the picture, he took me straight to it! He even helped me pull up the picture on my new I phone! Thanks so much for the great help Orlando

This is by far the worst Menards. The employees refuse to help you. The managers are way worse. I called and spoke with Nathan who told me to come in to return an item. I live two hours away. I walked in and the lady at the return desk started giving me attitude right away then Rebecca walked up and from the get go was very hostile and aggressive. Nathan came out and said yeah, I did tell you you can return it but yeah sorry we can’t. I said you told me too and I drove two hours he said sorry you have to call this number and get approval. It was a random company that didn’t know what I was talking about. I will never be returning to Menards. I ended up calling a different store, they apologized and couldn’t believe what they just did. They returned it. I took the money and spent $1000 at Home Depot where they were knowledgeable and helped. I emailed corporate, the BBB and ACLU. Don’t waste your time go to Home Depot across the street.

This trip was for the birds that adore my front yard. Suet was on sale, along with other berries and sunflower seeds. Many lanes open on a Friday afternoon leading to a quick and efficient check out.

At one time, this store was better than the one in Cedar Falls, however, of late, it has become a joke. Three employees were standing in an aisle, talking about what they had done over the weekend. I politely interrupted and asked if someone could help me find self tapping, screws and a spigot key. They stopped the conversation long enough so that they could point me in the general direction, at either end of the store. They then abruptly started their conversation of their weekend ecapades all over again. It took fifteen minutes to discern where the screws were at, and I never did find the spigot key, after wandering up and down the aisles of that area for some twenty minutes. Ironically, I ran into three other customers in my journeys, from screws to spigots, who were also having zero luck finding anyone to assist them. I finally decided I would just go home and order it online from Home Depot, who will probably be getting more of my business these days, as while I wandered through the store heading back to check out, I saw that same group of men standing around in different sections, still talking about their weekend. After I checked out a cart full of product, lo and behold, who was standing by the exit door but those same 3 men now engaging another female employee and again the conversation was loud enough to be heard; all about their weekend. Well, some employees at this store. Are noteworthy and helpful? The majority have become lazy with no work ethic. It is such a shame that management doesn't stay on top of this more.

I havnt lived in iowa for 20 years. I have always missed being close to a menards until today. I have been in this store 3 times since my return to Iowa and each time I am more disappointed than the last. I spent an hour looking for someone to help me. I finally fount 7 employes all hiding out in a corner and when I made a comment about help not being helpful I got a snide remark from one young girl. The whole day got worse. I wish I would have gotten there names. I can't believe how customer service up here has went to HELL. Sad thing it isn't just menards. They just happened to win the prize for worst today. If u don't like your job QUIT, but don't make the customer feel as if u are doing THEM a favor. There are plenty of other places like menards that I'm sure would love my money.

Not to happy about the Paint Dept. We been waiting for assistance for over 15 Minutes? I had to get some to call the Mgr. Over to the Paint Dept. She wasn't to friendly, spending time on her phone as well. She didn't even open the can show what the Paint stain look like. Never had any problem with it til now. Just because she a Manager that don't mean she can be taking her sweet time over there. As well. Plus tell her put Arm deodorant on as well. PLUS We been Menards over 20 years, still love it! This is the 1st time I ever complaint. Sorry to say...

Went in for a simple return and the service desk staff were incredibly rude and dismissive. No greeting, just attitude. When I asked a question, they acted like I was a burden. It felt like I was bothering them just by being there. I believe her name was Betty.

Very good selection of products. My faucet was broken and I was frustrated because I had no idea how to fix it. Eric in the plumbing department was very helpful and explained what to do. Thanks to him, I didnt have to purchase a whole new one! You guys should have more employees like him!

Delaney is by far the laziest employee I have ever seen. She seems to be more concerned about having social hour then doing her job. Very disappointing i expected better from the employees here. Do better menards

The blonde girl who works at service desk is terrible! She is so lazy and rude when you try to ask for help. I went in yesterday and some random dude was following her around and she barely acknowledged customers and was focused on the co worker.

Wide variety of items n s. Some great priced. Some over priced Store is poorly set up to find what you want. Customer service is complete garbage! Little to no help. Few staff are friendly ir show any true concerns o help, ability to listen, or show and concept of knowledge of the product they sell. Might be ok to shop there if you dont need help and dont mind wandering around the entire store trying to figure out where the product you want might be located. Many other hardware stores around that will offer for superior help, care, concern, knowledge, and customer service
