Never again will I shop at VanDevere. We just had the most ridiculous experience with the service department. Brought are car in last Friday for a leak that was basically flooding the floor in our backseat (that has always done it since we first bought the car) first off the guy fixed it without even calling to confirm the pricing he just fixed it. They called said it was$160. We were okay with that we weren't sweating nothing we were just glad that the problem was fixed finally and the awful smell can get out of our car. Then the guy asked how we would like to pay. boyfriend pays with his debit card over the phone. I don't know what happened but the card was ran two times and declined. Then he was like it's okay I will be up there to pay in person. on his way up there he got a text message from his bank stating the money was out of his account. Chase said that VanDevere Kia got $160. so when my boyfriend got there he showed them the txt that the money came out. They said no it didn't. he even had to call his bank because they would not believe him which is ridiculous. We should not have had to call are bank. They said you are not getting your car unless we see $160 or you can show proof that it cleared in your bank. Mind you it was Friday they are closed Saturday and Sunday. the bank was closed Monday. did not have our car all weekend long. the car had are children's car seat and booster which is a safety hazard for having children. then Tuesday comes the bank is open. it still is saying pending. the bank said that's because they are a day behind. okay fine. today, the bank is still saying pending. we went ahead and cancelled the payment. got the $160 payment back, so that we can take the cash up there to get our car, that's basically been almost a week that they would not give it back to us or even attempted to help us get around or give us are children's car seats. I am appalled at the service that we were put through when we have been with VanDevere for years I just had my dad buy a brand new 2016 Kia Soul from you guys last year and this is the thanks we get and the service that we get for the amount of money we give you guys! never again

If I could give Van Devere six stars I would. Shane Schawben handled our repair with the utmost professionalism and courtesy to my wife, my daughter and me. His experience of knowing what to expect during the repair shone through as well. When unexpected issues popped up, he was right on the phone letting us know what had happened and how it was to be addressed. I never asked for special treatment - but I sure got it. All I wanted was my car to be repaired correctly and in a timely manner. Not only did they meet that - they exceeded it - by far. A friend had recommended we use Van Devere for our repair post accident based on her experience there. I originally wanted to take the car where we had bought it. But after this experience, I need to ask myself "So, why did I want to do this the hard way?" I am now cooking her the meal of her dreams. So, shout outs to all involved in our repair - you have done you jobs very very well!

10 star service!!!! I couldn't as for a better dealership collision center and you won't find one! I hit a dear and although it wasn't as bad as it could've been, my beautiful car was damaged. I took it to Van Devere Collision and as soon as I met the awesome ladies up front, I knew I took it to the right place! EVERYONE was professional, honest, and provided me the best customer service. I will be buying my next car from Van Devere Kia in Akron and my go to for fixes is the collision center!

You all have the absolute worst service ever! For a 700 dollar estimate to replace a bumper on my car has taken over a week and 3 days!! Ever day I call you all give me the same information it'll be ready tomorrow that has taken place everyday since Monday it's Thursday and I'm getting the same response! If the part was in back order or not in that's 1 thing but to have the part and can't complete the job is horrible! What kind of service is that? Why should anyone come to the shop? I work for Allstate and would never bring your company up to anyone as a preferred shop! How do you have to re spray a bumper over three times and why is it the same response every day! People have to schedule time off to take off work every day when you say that! As a company and organization you all should be ashamed of yourself!

I dropped my car off 2 weeks ago for routine maintenance and some body work. Was told it would be done in a week. The maintenance work was done then they sent it to the collision center. They never called me to provide updates. Today I call for the 4th or 5th time to get an update and I am told the part they ordered for my car no longer fits and they ordered another one earlier this week and it arrived today. The car won't be ready until tomorrow. By tomorrow it will have spent 16 days in the shop. The only phone call from the shop was on day 1 to agree to the estimate. They never offered to provide shuttle service, alternate transportation. Just terrible all around service. Stay away.

I have not got my car back but so far the staffing has been fine. I'm more annoyed with the rental car I received. It's more outdated than my current car, my insurance is paying for it. It smells like someone smoked in here for 30 years, even the cashier commented on the smell. Now I have to drive my 2 babies around in a car the stinks not to mention I work around ppl who will probably think I smell like cigarettes. I feel like if you are paying for a rental car it should be equally as nice as the car you gave them to work on or better. Also the car they gave has a big huge sticker on the back window. It's obnoxious and you stick out like a sore thumb. It says courtesy vehicle which it's not bc I'm paying for it.

Absolutely amazing. They have done collision work on my car twice now. I have found my forever spot. The staff is wonderful very professional and nice. I dealt with Jim, AJ, and Sue such wonderful people. I would tell the whole world about this place if I could☺ They have all went above and beyond. They even took apart the rent dash to get my debt card. I wasn't charged a whole bunch of extra fees they did it no charge. Every time I leave extremely happy. Thank all of you so much for all your hard work. Its so much appreciated.

Went to get some body repair on my car. The office ladies were very helpful, professional and friendly. Assets to the company. My car was fixed, looked great. I had a 2019 Optima to drive while my car was being fixed. Insurance paid for everything. I really have no complaints, Vandevere is the best as far as I'm concerned.

I went here to get a quote on a repair to my damaged mirror. They were fast, and offered an itemized receipt. I appreciate that they don't try to pressure you into making a decision to repair your vehicle at their shop. They actually said I was welcome to shop around and look at other collision centers to get an idea on pricing. The customer service was exceptional!

When our brand new Ford Explorer was rear-ended it was a very stressful situation. Fortunately we had the expert team at VanDevere Collision to help. They worked with us every step of the way and did a great job of getting our new car back on the road. We got the vehicle back much quicker than I ever anticipated. The quality of work is so good you can't even tell we ever had an accident. Thanks again guys for all your hard work and expertise getting us back in our new vehicle!!

I brought my car into the body shop, and the turn around was very fast. Lance worked very hard to get replacement parts, and the body shop did a great job repairing my mirror. The staff is professional and courteous, and they make sure that you are treated very well. I would definitely recommend them to others. Great job guys!

Dealing with this collision center has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a business. My car was damaged in a car wash, I had the estimate done on 12/6/22. The estimator told me it would take time to get the parts in. My car wasn’t scheduled for repair until 1/23/23. Ironically I’ve never heard from that estimator Dave in any capacity since. Not via email, not an update on how the car was progressing, not a return call on the numerous voicemails I left…. nothing. My car repairs went well past the time I was told it would take. Which wouldn’t have been a big deal had there have been some communication from the estimator. Eventually the General Manager Darrell Jacobs started getting involved. When my car was finally returned it had a wind leak in the window on the side of the car that was repaired. VanDevere had me bring it in 2 more times, but unfortunately the problem still existed. After the second failed attempt I was informed by Mr. Jacobs that the noise still exists and they won’t be trying anything else to fix it. When I questioned as to how they could even do something like that, he insinuated that it was a preexisting problem, like I had been looking for something for free. Or I was being dishonest. Incredibly unprofessional would sum it up.

About halfway thru the process and so far even though we have bought 3 kia's from them seems like we got lost in the big store suffle They forget to call you and cant pick up the phone when we call. They finally called at 455 to see if we would like to pick up the car because they are closed over the weekend. They close at 5 lol most people dont live next to kia.. they did get the estimate done quickly.

I had my car broken into and took it here for the repairs. I have to Say Michael, Georgia and Brian went above and beyond. The car wasn't ready when initially told by another staff member but they were able to accommodate me in an emergency. I the car looked better than the day I bought it. I would highly recommend them. I unfortunately hit a raccoon and it really damaged my car, I called a couple days later and they got me in pretty quick for an estimate, and even let me leave my car there a few days early. Jesse was very nice and prepped an estimate, and also walked me through the insurance process. He was quick to answer any questions I had, even over text. I got to pick up my car 4 days earlier than he originally said which was nice. The inside of my car was spotless when I picked it up and they also buffed out a scuff mark that I had on the hood. They definitely went above and beyond with the little things and took great care of my car. Even after the fact, Jesse has still been very helpful answering questions that I still have. I highly recommend this location as well as Jesse S.

If I could give negative stars I would. Literally the worst experience with a repair service. The Manager Shane Schwaben is condescending and unhelpful. Got rear-ended in a pile-up accident in October and my car is still in disrepair after they've attempted to fix it three separate times (and counting). 1. First time it was returned to me with the wrong Chevy emblems on the back. Back to the shop it went 2. Second time I picked it up and as soon as I pulled out the check engine light was on (huh, you'd think they'd check that before dumping that off on the customer, especially since it wasn't on when I gave it to them!). Back to the shop it went. This time I asked for a multi-point inspection before they attempted to return it but was told they couldn't. 3. Got my car back, drove it once and heard a cricket-like squeaking on every bump (wasn't like that before Vandevere got ahold of it). The rear passenger door they had to replace was misaligned and the door lock didn't work properly (it was visually apparent it was broken, the service techs either didn't notice or didn't care). I guess third try isn't the charm at Vandevere because back to the shop it went! 4. While it's still in the shop, I get a text saying a check engine light is on and the code (which points to something that very well could be caused by the accident) and told that I have to pay a $200 diagnostic fee. I have not had my car for almost two months at this point and I am extremely frustrated. I called my insurance who speaks with the shop and they basically say they need these diagnostics to confirm if its a part of the accident or not. I called the shop and after getting nothing but cold and short "customer service" they transfer me to the manager Shane Schwaben who asks me "Why should I have to pay for this if it's not xyz..." and talks over me, condescending, rude, I'm obviously very frusterated at this point and he's just fueling that fire. To reuse Shane's favorite phrase, "Do you understand this?" DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT. Extremely unprofessional and they shouldn't speak to customers if they can't do it with respect and understanding. Also shouldn't fix cars if they can't actually fix them. This shop has dropped the ball multiple times and this is how they treat customers. Good luck with your "business"

Taking my 1 year old Chevy Colorado to this place after someone rear ended my truck has been a disaster and an absolute nightmare. I’ve had for a total of two weeks on and off since April 1, 25. Over $25,000.00 worth of work and it’s worse than when they started. New frame, new bed, drive shaft, and even more and I now have to take it to a new collision center to replace the bad drive shaft they used and new rear differential. Four new mechanics have now looked at what VanDevere has done and not done and are baffled at this work. Mr. VanDevere blew it off and did nothing. GM Corporate Headquarters now involved and my Attorney is now involved and moving forward with this situation. Explore your options elsewhere. This is their pattern. They have also done a number to USAA the persons insurance in the accident. When USAA sees that it has to be redone elsewhere won’t be happy. Shane the Manager lit up like a sign hearing USAA was covering it.
