2023 update: I now have a sedan and it seems that is what Tommy’s is best for. I don’t have any problems with the car being fully rinsed off and air dryer works much better. Something to keep in mind. Second: Owner, please put a sign up letting patrons know to “tap their brake” so they don’t end up getting SHOUTED at. My car was set to neutral and my foot was off the break, but still had some guy shouting at me. Problem was I couldn’t hear him over the wash. I drove around to see what I was being shouted at about when I had followed the posted instructions? Young man told me that “well, you need to tap your brake once you are on the moving belt.” How in the world would I know to do that?! Please put up a sign. 2022 update: Why should I have to allow 15-20 to completely dry off my car to get rid of the water spots after it has gone through your car wash?? I had decided to give Tommy’s another try. Same issues as before. Today I asked the cashier if there was another wash package that didn’t include the spot free stuff that leaves horrible water spots EVERYWHERE on my car. She asked and then told me it is in all of them. Why should a customer have to stop after paying $$ for a car wash to dry their car off so it doesn’t look worse than before?? I’ll go to good one on Firetower near Zaxby’s or the car wash on Old Tar next to the Treetops subdivision. I used Tommy's from the time they opened in Greenville, NC to last week and decided to write a review as to why I decided to not use them again. Initially I thought they were cool. I have a dark colored SUV and was concerned about swirl marks, but decided to use it anyway. I take excellent care of my car and it is parked in a garage at night. It was only 5 months old when I started using this car wash. Well, unfortunately, my car is now covered in swirl marks. My side mirrors got knocked out of place every time. Multiple times the soap didn't get completely rinsed off my car and would be pouring out of the door jambs when I would open the doors and back hatch to dry my car. I wrote in about this, but no follow up to make it right except to get more details of what happened (it happened twice). Whatever is in the $18 wash also causes water spots on the body and windows of the car unless I pull over and dry off my car. If I don't, my car looks awful and I shouldn't have gotten it washed in the first place. I don't always have time or want to have to pull over (because the dryer doesn't do that great of a job) and hand dry my car. I did have a front metal license plate, but finally had to take it off because the car wash was bending it and I got tired of trying to straighten it out. After multiple washes and twice joining the monthly car wash club, I am having my car professionally detailed to remove the swirl marks and won't use Tommy's Express Car Wash again. I recommend the brushless car washes on Firetower (across from Zaxby's) that lets you get your car under the dryer as you want it and the one on Old Tar Road across from Plant and See.

Tommy’s is a great service and Chandler in particular is a big help. They’re easy to use and their app is convenient. I love that they have a mat wash prepared for non-molded and a basin for molded mat cleaning. Well worth the investment to keep my work truck clean.

Today was my first time ever visiting Tommys express, and I had the best experience I’ve ever had at any car wash, before I could even make it to the window chandler was waving and greeting me and told me about the Tommy club and how awesome it was. At first I was a little unsure about it. But after my wash chandler came and checked on me and brought me an air fresher I knew this is where I wanted to come to get a car wash, he walked me right through signing up on the app. Amazing customer service and an amazing wash!

Mainly can let the pictures speak for themselves, got the works car wash and left behind this film splatter of whatever the car wash sprayed. Lucky enough I caught it early, went back to the store only to be laughed at by some young kid only saying my garage kept car had oxidized paint. To which eventually the manager came out we talked and to sum it up they didn't care at all, and said it wasn't the car washes doing despite proving it was a film left behind from a product that didn't set right.

Would be nice if the management would post next to the entrance/cashier in large print that glass cleaner and towels are extra, and that you have to go inside to buy it. This is after I paid for their 2nd to the top tier which was really like a min inside the wash. First time here and I won't be back. I'd prefer the ones in new bern.

We have been loyal members for years, but our patience has finally worn thin. We have canceled both of our plans. Initially, everything went smoothly, but the establishment has failed to meet the operational requirements, which is quite disappointing. The customer service has been lacking, and I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. For years, the license plate readers have been inadequate, causing unnecessary delays because they cannot read our plates. We have complained to this location and corporate, but there has been no resolution. To make matters worse, the vacuums are often non-functional, with no “out of service” signs to guide customers to functioning vacuums without having to play a game of hide-and-seek. Exiting the wash bay, you have to be cautious not to drive into the giant potholes, which have also been ongoing issues. I have tried to address these issues over an extended period, but there has been no resolution. I hope they can improve their service and address these concerns for future customers, but unfortunately, we will take our business and money elsewhere.

The latest and most efficient way to wash your vehicle has arrived in Greenville NC. Jump on the bandwagon and sign up for the 30 day unlimited wash via the Tommys Ap. Once your a Member you can pull into lane 2 or 3 and the system reads your tag then opens the gate. You drive yourself onto this belt that’s very easy to do, shift into neutral and enjoy the wash. It’s very spacious, bright and the wash is better than anything I have ever had before. From start to finish it took me under 5 minutes. Other than some staff waving at me and smiling I did not have to stop and communicate with anyone which for me is how I want it during these times. The person who is in charge is name is John and he can assist you getting the 30 day free wash promotion.

Secondly, the service was outstanding and was a decent price. They was sure to make my car looks as if I had just driven it off of the new car dealer lot. My ride was SHINY. First time trying this car wash and I liked it for the most part. It cleaned the outside of my car well. The first vacuum I went to had no suction but the stall next worked great so I assume that was just a fluke of a vacuum. The biggest con is they don’t provide all purpose cleaners or glass cleaners like other car washes. That’s a big issue for me as I got kids and they can get messy.

We paid for the most expensive wash. 24 dollars. It didn't even get the mud off my tires or the easy bugs off the front. There was still soap on my car when we pulled off to use the vacuums. And when we tried to use the vacuums there was so little suction they were unusable. We asked for a refund and they obliged. Don't waste your time or money.

The only nice thing about this place is driving through without stopping. However even though my husband pays for this subscription automatically which is supposed to be so you can drive right through a worker made me wait this he was finished with the person at the window. He literally held his hand up for me to wait until after he was finished and let that person go first. What is thr point of paying the subscription?? Also the vacuums hardly ever work. They have little suction power and half the time I stop at least 2-3 vacuums are not on with no indication they are not working. Also depending on what time of day they turn off the vacuum and the wash is only open. The ones that are working come apart. I do not like this place my husband pays but if there was another I’d switch immediately. Not worth the monthly 40$ fee.

We got a coupon in the mail for a free carwash, so I decided to give it a try. We pulled up to the cash window and gave the coupon to the attendant, who informed us that we could get a free month of car washes through their app. I have not tried that yet, but that concept is cool! The car wash itself was very thorough and exciting to go through. I did not use the vacuums this time around, but a lot of people were when I was there. They also sell little kits for cleaning your car which is convenient. Overall, I would definitely return!
