Horrible Nampa Location. They shoved everything to self check. 80% of the store are huge items. This is not a grocery store where you can hold in your hand an item. These are large pieces of wood and cement boards! These are products that are 16 feet long or huge washers and dryers. The company thinks this is a good idea to have a self check area where you cant even get a cart through? One cashier if you are lucky since they shut and removed all the other lines. This is probably the dumbest move I have seen.

I did not buy anything here. Couldn't find what I wanted. 3 employees stood right next to me talking together. Didn't even ask if I needed help

shopping here in the summer is miserable, so muggy inside of the store because they only have a swamp cooler in the building. No AC unit. You would think that a store that makes millions could do better for employees & customers…

The receiving staff is awesome. Beware though when you back into the dock. You have to pull into the side street and the people in the cars have no patience and are rude.

I've had three calls trying to resolve an order issue and have learned that you can't rely on customer service for more than making up information so you think a purchase is on the way, then the automated phone system is frustrating to deal with, and if you do reach a live person its 50/50 on if they'll just hang up as soon as you say good afternoon. I'm done wasting my time with Home Depots attempt at customer service. The only reason this isn't one star is because 4/5 of my orders have arrived without issue. The problem arises as soon as you need customer service.

If someone is going to give you a routine HVAC spiel, they shouldn't literally forcefully and accusationally approach you to do so and half-ask whether you need help prior. My first truly negative experience here

I bought a riding mower, and not one person knew how to work it. 😆 I will tell you, though, the guy up front helped me out a lot. We couldn't get 1 person from the garden to go out and help me. So, like I said, he went out and helped me and answered questions he knew. Then, after I bought it, I went back in and bought something else afterward, and he asked if I was a vet. I said yes and told him I just bought a riding mower, too. I always forget, and I never really ask for a discount. So I always forget. I asked if I could still get a discount on the mower. A few people said I have to go download the app, sign up, and prove I'm a vetran. Then a vet said he would help me sign up, do the refund, and re•ring me up to give the vetran discount. Tha5 right there was very cool. Being disabled that discount helped me a lot. I would hive them 50 stars

Update……..Don’t be fooled by the rather weak reply from “Home Depot” to this review. The link they send was just a loop right back to customer service of whom is completely helpless. They are not even offering enough to pay for the damages. $8000 less than the almost $40k damage they caused. Purchased a Bosch 800 series dishwasher from Home Depot (Nampa Idaho). We paid extra to have Home Depot install it. Worked great for a day and a half until we discovered water underneath our flooring. That was on September 13th. It is now October 19th. $14,100 later. After having our floors ripped up it is now dry enough to rebuild. (Not included in 14k already incurred for dry out process) I will now be driving right past Home Depot and going straight to Lowe’s. This ordeal is factual and still ongoing and I do have all the documents to back it up. I wrote this review while spending 52 minutes on hold with Home Depot resolution department of whom just hung up due to no reply from store manager and me patiently waiting. Feel free to contact me and I will be happy to tell you all the details before you decide to purchase an appliance from Home Depot Nampa. Also, pardon the mess in the pictures. We have been living in the front half of our house with 15 loud air mover fans running 24-7 and that brand new Bosch 800 series dishwasher along with our washer and dryer, half our furniture and refrigerator are sitting in our garage collecting dust.

Today, I overheard a conversation near the loading area between two employees in which one employee was spoken to disrespectfully by the other. I noticed how upset the other employee was, and it truly bothered me. Hearing this negatively impacted my shopping experience, and I felt very uncomfortable. Watching someone be bullied is disturbing to say the least and I hope this is dealt with in an appropriate manner. I did attempt to identity the employee and his name tag said Josh.

I ordered online and pick up in store. They didn’t inspect the damage from UPS shipping and now that I am ready to install this long weekend, no air conditioner. With a “special buy” wait a week for next one. You know they saw the hole in the box, it is where my name is to tell them who the order is for.

Bought an LG Instaview refrigerator in Nampa and upon delivery the ice maker didn’t work. After 2 recommended days for it to make ice and returning on the third day, they refused to change it out and made the manufacturer take care of it. Well after a few visits it ended up being the motherboard. Now I have no ice and it says to remove ice bin. The bin does not come out. I didn’t realize I would have to hire a repair guy to come every time I need the ice maker cleaned out. I am beyond furious and will never do business with shady practices that dump their lemons on the consumer.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Home Depot. I used the self-checkout specifically because I wanted to check myself out. Instead, an employee named Lily insisted on “helping” me, even after I told her I was sick with a bad cold and preferred not to have contact. She dismissed me and said, “it’s assisted checkout so I have to help you,” in a condescending tone. A self-checkout should actually be self-checkout, customers shouldn’t be forced into “assistance” when they’re capable of handling it themselves. Being belittled by an employee is unacceptable. On another note, the plumbing aisle is nearly unbearable right now. The Halloween decorations are so obnoxiously loud that it’s frustrating to even shop in that area. I have nothing against Halloween and I don’t mind the decorations being sold. But the constant blaring volume is disruptive to customers who are there for actual building supplies. Perhaps moving the Halloween decor over by where the Christmas decorations usually are by the barbecue and outdoor stuff would be a better location or simply turn the volume off/down or put up a barrier so the entire store doesn’t have to listen to it. Right now it feels like the store is catering to a small seasonal minority instead of to contractors and pros who shop here daily. I'm considering shopping at Lowe's until after Halloween or maybe perhaps just shopping there from now on. I’m a general contractor with a pro account, and I spend quite a lot of money annually at Home Depot. I’m in the store almost every single day, sometimes twice a day. Experiences like this being treated rudely at checkout and enduring the obnoxious store environment to say nothing of the copious amounts of displays blocking products on the shelves. I'm constantly having to move displays in order to get items behind them, makes me seriously reconsider where I choose to take my business. I hope management takes this complaint seriously, because customers ought to be respected in a professional shopping environment.

What can I say... The Home Depot is the store that has everything that I want and need. If you DIY home improvement, this is a good place to start first. Garden needs, quality tools, building materials, appliances, lawn equipment, cleaning supplies, paint, plumbing, electrical, large equipment rental....I could go on and on. Go in there so that you have something constructive to do this weekend.

I had an outstanding experience with Derik in the blinds department at Home Depot. From the moment I approached him, he went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. His product knowledge was incredible Derik is by far the best employee I’ve encountered at this store. Home Depot is lucky to have someone like him on their team. I’ll definitely be returning for future home projects thanks to the great experience he provided

Kitchen Refacing Service Review: I’d just like to state that I love my kitchen, it did turn out beautiful. However, at the steep cost for just a refacing job, the lack of communication between Home Depot and their subcontractor and their lack of urgency in completing a project at the customers satisfaction, this project was more trouble that it was worth. It was also not as budget friendly as advertised. That's being said, the process was a bit of a rollercoaster. The company has so many people each doing a separate task, one salesperson, one person to measure, one to install and then a separate person to contact with any questions or concerns; that it seems like communication gets lost along the way. Also, the sales rep whom sold me on the kitchen refacing was no longer with the company by the time my project started and it seemed they used that to their advantage. The sales rep discussed with me the design and colors during our initial meet. Since one specific detail wasn't noted on the contract and she was no longer employed with the company, the company was not willing to correct this and complete the job in the way the sales rep and I had discussed. During our initial meeting, the sales rep told me that she was my point of contact during this process. I had reached out to the Sales rep asking a question about my project, at which point, she had told me to contact my Project Manager since she was no longer employed with this company. When I reached out to him, I was directed to yet another person. By the time my project started, 4 months after I met with the sales rep, the sales rep herself, my project manager and the guy who initially measured my cabinets for the project were all no longer with the company. We also had a small issue arise when another installer, through Home Depot, for a different project damaged one of our cabinets, Home Depot did correct this issue at their expense, so our project could continue at the date we were scheduled for installation. However, there was a point in which the Home Depot team asked us during a phone conversation with them, why we were refacing our cabinets, as opposed to getting new kitchen cabinets. We told them we had chosen to reface the kitchen as we thought this was the most budget-friendly for us. While discussing this with the team helping us correct the damaged cabinet, they had told us that we could actually get all brand-new cabinets, in our original desired color, including new countertops at a much cheaper cost than what the subcontractors were charging us for the project of just refacing our current cabinets. They then asked if we would prefer to go that route, and they would cancel our contract with the subcontractors that they had sent to our house for the refacing project. They did tell us the only hiccup would be that it would take a longer amount of time to complete the project, than what our current projected completion time was. We were ecstatic! We didn't think this was possible and couldn't wait to move on from this other company and start fresh with exactly what we had imagined from the beginning. Then the team at Home Depot called us back and said that they were not going to be getting us all new cabinets and that we would be continuing with our current refacing project. We were crushed and felt so defeated. At this point we were so disappointed. We felt very misled and let down. It seems that Home Depot has very poor communication with their customers and the companies they subcontract out to complete these projects. It was also apparent that the company that was subcontracted out has communication issues internally, between their own staff and employees. Once installation was scheduled, we were told it would take 3-4 days. During installation, I discovered the door issue. Despite previously discussing the style and layout with the sales rep, the installed doors did not match what was agreed upon, and the company resisted correcting it.

I like this home depot, I've met the nicest workers at this one. I've also had plenty of great interactions with other customers here as well. 😃 The prices are pretty good too tbh. I own a plumbing business, 24/7 Plumbing LLC,, so im here alot and they have what I need most of the time. They also carry parts that even some supply drops don't carry!

I have always received help at this location. A couple months ago the carpet section and wood section employees were very helpful. This past week Kylie helped me at check out. I had been having a difficult week, and she was just very helpful and friendly. I was grateful for her empathy and turning my attitude around that day.

I really appreciated the help from Paul in this Home Depot today. I needed all appliances for a house we just bought. He jumped over from flooring to take pics of all the tags, get everything put in for me, and set up for delivery. I was about to go to another store so I'm glad he helped me out.

The store became more for homeowners, not for contractors. The paths/aisles are narrow because they put pallets/boxes in the middle to sell all sorts of Chinese trinkets. The cashiers constantly bother me and offer credit cards or insurance/protection or something, Also no more parking for contractors👎
