I was down in Champaign about 2 hours from home in my work truck and needed an oil change. I went to the jiffy lube and spent 2 hours there just for them to not even change my oil. Went to this Take 5 and explained to Bobby, the service writer my situation and he and his team had me in and out super fast. Bobby wasted no time immediately called the fleet company we use to get approval instead of waiting around like JL. Absolutely fantastic customer service. He even gave me a coupon for my personal car. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I had a great experience at Take 5. I called ahead and had a great welcome. What impressed me most is that the fellas were very friendly, and there was a female on staff who was hands on. Being a female, I'm often hesitant because I have had negative experiences being talked down to as if I don't understand what oil is or it's function. But everyone here was very good with communicating without condescension. I felt very comfortable and was able to ask questions when they arose without issue. Everyone introduced themselves and although the service was fast, I never felt rushed to make a decision or to move along. Everyone smiled! What a joy. Thank you all!

Hello! I went to get an oil change on 9/14/25. I was OVERdue for one and Elizabeth took such great care of me and my car. If you go ask for Elizabeth, she is very kind and helpful. 10/10 service as she answered all my questions and even put coolant and air in my tires without being asked. She went above and beyond. Excellent customer service, I will be back and I will tell people to visit for their next oil change!

Just got my oil changed this past Saturday from them for the first time, and I'll be going back. They're very efficient and I was impressed by the amount of communication they use in their crew. They also had a backup person come through and make sure everything was closed/where it needed to be. Easy 5/5

I wouldn't recommend these amateurs. Debris was in between the oil filter which prevented a proper seal and leaked. Because my mechanic noticed it and touched it they refused to rectify the situation. You can buy the filters cabin filters they sell for 20 bucks online instead of paying their absurd prices. Thanks for screwing me out of 180 dollars Bobby and Adam. Especially you Bobby. Go learn how to install a oil filter or go find another job my guy. Being extremely pushy about buying a cabin filter from you was dumb and led to me saying yes. Go be a used car salesman. Edited response for the owners reply: Owners reply is laughable. I already did that and was told by Adam because someone else touched it that they couldn't help me and would not rectify the situation because thats your policy. I explained part of that in the first review but I can see that take 5 obviously doesn't hire very smart people so I don't expect yall's reading comprehension levels to be very high. Again. Stay away from these amateurs call.

Service was fast but the workers were very pushy and rude. I go here often with my husband to service his car and never have any issues so I decided to take my car in because I was in a rush and couldn’t wait at the dealership. This same person who I have interacted with for my husband’s service was being very pushy trying to get me to buy a new air filter when honestly it looked just fine to me. I had it replaced not that long ago too. I told them I didn’t have the money to spend on it. All of a sudden as soon as I leave the fan starts making a loud noise as soon as I turned my heat on high. Either they are so incompetent that they can’t replace an air filter by putting it in the same spot that they found it or they purposely stuck a leaf in there, because there were a few leaves on the filter, to make me want to come back and pay $45 for a new air filter that I can get cheaper somewhere else. They also documented my filter as “clean”. I will not be returning. How dare you try to take advantage of women. Completely different service as when I went with my husband.

This is one of the rare oil change services that do everything in the comfort of your car! Bobby and his team were so helpful and so nice!! I really enjoyed the hospitality and little helpful things that I can do to help my truck. Plus all services are 15% off if you are a college student like me :))) 10/10

Avoid Adam by any means necessary! He is extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Awaiting call back from cooperate office. Took my car there for oil change and coolant flush. Left and no more heat working. Called and spoke with rude ssa Adam who told me to return . Did just that for him to tell me its a mechanical issue. Been driving this car for 2 years. Tells me the heat not blowing hot has nothing to do with coolant. Cut me off every other word then promptly walked away. After working an 18 hour shift at the hospital he will more than likely end up one day u better hope i dont have the same “professional” approach u displayed . Oil change $130 and coolant flush $140. Go somewhere else not worth it

Sorry no pics. Really great group of folks. I told them I was in a hurry, so they skipped some less important tasks that I actually paid for--I'm OK with that. I kid you not, I was in and out in about 8 mins. Dang. Make sure you use every discount available, or you'll pay a high price for convenience (don't you always?) but I'd go back to this place.

I took my car to take 5 for oil change. When I pulled in, they asked me to pop the hood. Because my hood was not open. So when I couldn't get the hood open, the girl asked if she could come and open the hood for me. I told her, yeah, that was fine, she opened the hood, they did my oil change. When they were done, they let the hood down and said, oh, something is wrong Your hood won't close, Did it close before you arrived. I said "of course my hood closed before I arrived! It was closed before you touched the car. Don't you recall asking me to open my hood when I got here".. After they tried to Get it to close several times the guy tells me go a few doors down and ask a mechanic at another shop to try to close my hood. I was in shock that this was really happening. I am not from the area. I'm unfamiliar with mechanics in the area. That was my first time at Take 5. Definitely, my last. I drive down to the other place. Explain to the Guy what happened, The first thing out of his mouth was, they are always messing up people stuff and sending them to me. THAT PISSED ME off even more. After about 10 minutes out in the cold, and this guy was nice enough to figure out what they did wrong and didn't charge me to fix what they jacked up. BUT to try to act like I came in there With My hood already BROKEN IS INSANE. HOW DO YOU NOT REMEMBER OPENING SOMEONE'S HOOD!!

Dillon and Ricky were absolutely excellent. They were quick (under 20 minutes), efficient (I didn’t need to leave my car), and explained everything. I had to come here twice this week which wouldn’t normally be an enjoyable experience as I hate dealing with car issues, but both times I gas a phenomenal and efficient experience. I wish I remembered the names of the three guys that helped me on tuesday, but Elizabeth did a fantastic job assisting with the coolant exchange tonight!! I cant say I’ve had any negative experiences with other places, but this was the most cared about as a customer that I’ve felt! Thank you again for the hospitality and making an annoying chore a lovely and quick experience.

Went to take 5 this morning because I was OVERDUE for an oil change. I’ve been door dashing a lot and definitely needed it. Adam got me right in, was so polite, understanding and all around just an amazing human! He gave me a discount which I needed lol. These guys have customer service down. Bobby always makes me feel like an old friend and unlike most places in town are happy to see you and take a look at anything you need. Definitely my first stop. Everyone else in CU can try to help in a few days but not these guys. Bobby greeted with a smile and a water and was all about service. Thanks for the great experience
