DONOT USE THEIR SERVICE!! Can't stress enough, if you value your car, avoid this place. I got an oil change on Friday 11/26/21, we paid, drove about 4 blocks and the car died. I had to have my car towed to my home. On Tuesday, 11/30, the car was towed to a very reliable mechanic, who told me the engine locked because the oil was a mess and was either not changed, filled with old oil, or some very poor quality oil. I never used Speed Lube, but I will NEVER return to this location! I'm not saying this represents all Speed Lubes, but the location on Main Street in Bloomington, IL, please avoid at all cost.

As a mechanic, this is the only oil change shop I will go to. Courious, attention to detail, and knowledgeable. Full service is always worth it and they never try to take you or stick you with add-ons you do not need. They are fast but I believe they take the time to drain your oil all the way. They did more than expected and I would highly recommend this place. When it says 10-minute oil change, they mean it. Along with that I got my car vacuumed out, more wiper fluid and coolant without even asking. The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond.

Got a full service oil change yesterday, I just took a look at my receipt paper and they did not tell me that my oil was low. They wrote "major oil leak" in the service comments. Maybe that would be something you tell your customer who brought in their car! My windows weren't washed, back seat wasn't vacuumed. I ignored the lack of vacuuming and the windows not being washed, that doesnt concern me. But now seeing that they failed to tell me the oil was very low, that is their job and they failed to mention it at all. Very disappointed with this speed lube location. Response to Owner's reply: Thank you, I will gladly accept the gesture. I will give this location another chance next time I need an oil change. Thank you.

DO NOT go to Speed Lube on Main Street in Normal! I went there for what I thought was going to be a $60, 10 minute, oil change and BOY was I wrong. The mechanic came to my window and told me he broke my oil pan trying to take the plug out and referred me to the mechanic shop down the street. When I got there, they found that it was much more detailed than that and I was quoted over $750 to fix it. Meanwhile, when talking to the SpeedLube and the corporate office in attempt to get compensation for their mistake, I was spoken to incredibly rude (hung up on me) and told that “they never broke it” and that I “drove into the shop with it pooring oil”. This was after I had been told straight to my face that he broke it. Now, I am stuck paying over $750 as a college student, when I expected to pay $60. If you have time, PLEASE go rate this shop very poorly. Thank you!

I had issues with my oil change less than one hundred miles after getting it, plus it put my car out of commission for a couple days. I won't go into deep detail, but the engine was put in jeopardy due to their negligence. However, once I confronted them with the issues, the manager was very apologetic and promised to reimburse us for the cost of the faulty oil change plus the cost of the required tow and subsequent repair. I appreciate their customer service. They handled the situation well.

I came in for a quick oil change and forgot to ask them to check/replace my air filters until i was seated inside. I made a mental note to check them the next time but just as I got comfortable, a tech came in with my air filter (so I could see it) stating that it needed to be replaced. Makes me feel great knowing they are really giving me the full service I am paying for! Fast/Friendly service.

Place is horrible literally pulled out my oil filter wasn’t tightened properly and dumped about 60 percent of the fresh oil out , do not go here there lazy and don’t care about the customers car . Grease monkey is way better or even big rays .

Conveniently located just off Main Street in Bloomington, between a car wash and gas station, so you can cover all your car or truck needs. The employees here are quick and even top off fluids. Little bit pricey, but thorough. They have sent a reminder when its time for the next oil change.
