their machines are very old, I bought a brand new 2025 model Tesla3 and the bumper of my car always got scratched, apart from that there were small scratches and they know this but they do not repair their ten year old machines.

Even on slow days (Sunday noon time, 12/1/24), staff posted at the kiosk should still maintain a professional position and appear “busy.” This particular staff was on his cel phone and I’m pretty sure staff at Soapy Joe are not given “business” phone lines to use at their leisure. He didn’t bother to look up or around when vehicles drove through the kiosk. He was in his own little world. At the end of the car wash, another staff was on his cel phone or at least appeared to be holding something inside a blue towel with both hands. His head never looked up and I continued to watch him from afar. If he was on a staff break, then he should have gone the break room. The only active staff was the person handing out air fresheners. The manger should come out once every hour to check on staff that could be “clowning” around at work. I know staff can do better. Dislike: small size parking spaces and sometimes there’s no room to dry your car when busy My experience at the Soapy Joe in Bonita was so-so. Of course, I would go back again due to my membership

Absolute worst soapy joes I’ve been to, and I’ve been to almost all of them. My car wasn’t even that dirty but my car became even worse after the wash, there isn’t enough stalls to dry your car off before the car’s exiting the car wash are basically forcing you to move or they can’t leave, whoever came up with this layout should be fired.

Pretty good wash. Leaves things behind at times and the dryer doesn’t quite dry, the wheel shine dirties up the rims. Sometimes there’s a long line you’re pretty much stuck in if you join even if you change your mind. Overall though it’s better than having a dirty car altogether

Bonita Soapy Joe’s is the best Soapy Joe’s location in the entire San Diego area. I’d like to mention Khang, his attention to detail and customer service is absolutely top notch! Definitely recommend!!!

Submitted my debit card I formation to cancel my services with soapy joes and found out months later that it was never canceled. After being charged for multiple months after attempting to cancel my membership online I see this is a reoccurring issue and glitch that soapy joes has and is aware of. I had to go into the location to cancel services and was never reimbursed for months that weren’t used. Had soapy joes refunded me and handled the situation the way they should have for services not used I would consider doing business with them again in the future. Since this has happened I will happily find other business to take my money to and will never give my card information to soapy joes for services again. What a rip off. On top do that, they never clean their brushes, so you risk damages to your vehicle. So disappointed with this place and their lack of customer service.

I went for my car’s regular wash today. Not too bad on the waiting time. The car came out clean and the vacuums were working. Towels were fully stocked to dry my car. The friendly girl working there also helped to update my sticker onto my new car. Overall solid car wash :)

I love this car wash and will always bring my car in after a bird poops on it or it gets dirty. The membership program is well worth it, unlimited washes and you get your money’s worth. The staff is always friendly to me and professional. Love the lights inside of the car wash and the air freshener they give you smells so nice and clean.

You come to get your car cleaned, but leave with black, oily dirty marks all along the bottom sides of your car. The cleaning heads are definitely not clean in the car wash. The vacuum and drying area was so busy, so had to drive off.

I had a great experience at this car wash. The service was fast, thorough, and my car came out looking spotless inside and out. The staff was friendly and professional and I especially want to give a shout-out to to Khang, the worker on duty. Mr. Khang made sure everything was done right and checked in to ensure I was satisfied before I left. It’s clear that the team takes pride in their work. Carol was super helping me overcome my terror of getting my manual transmission car onto their track. I had an issue in the past that the car was in neutral but had turned off. You can’t hear with all the noise and it was a real mess once inside the washing bay. A bit of PTSD with the whole situation. But Carol was kind and supportive. And David showed me how to leave a review. Super nice and caring staff. I will be a bit more comfortable next time. Thanks!!

I tried Soapy’s Car Wash on Bonita Road and for a very basic wash it cost about $25. They don’t dry the car for you, but they do have a lot of stations where you can park and finish it yourself. They provide free towels and vacuums, which I thought was a nice touch. It’s quick, easy, and overall a pretty good idea if you don’t mind doing the drying yourself.

We have two vehicles and have a Soapy Joes membership on each one. We like our cars clean so we go quite often and we’ve always had good experiences. They keep the drying towel supply stocked at each drying station. It is best to enter in at the Bonita Road entrance and exit out on Lynwood Drive to Bonita Rd.
