Cory was very friendly and helpful getting my voucher for a prepaid wash to work. Man did I have a rough day before coming here. Cory erased all the bad experiences from other car washes in the first five seconds of him greeting me. It really goes to show what having a good attitude can do for someone else. Came a little further to wash here and would return!

Just went down bright and early to get my car washed. When I arrived there were cars waiting in line and lanes blocking car wash entry. I waited for approximately 5 minutes then left. My issue isn’t that the car wash was down, it was that this particular location didn’t seem to care enough about their customers to offer any explanation. No sign, no worker indicating when service might resume. I wasted time and resources to use a service I pay monthly for and wasn’t even acknowledged.

I love that they give free air fresheners and free vacuums, they also use micro fiber to wash your car. That's really hard to find. The customer service is top notch and the monthly membership pricing is more than worth it. Definitely recommend.

Went to get a car wash and Alyssa was who helped me. She was so patient as I asked about the differences between the washes and she explained it well. She helped me make the right choice for me. The service she provided was a real highlight as she has great customer service skills. The car wash was quick easy and I liked the complimentary scent, vacuums, and towels. I would come again especially if Alyssa is there to help. Got my ford looking good !!

Soapy Joe’s Car Wash is hands down the best car wash experience around. From the moment you pull in, the staff is friendly, efficient, and clearly cares about doing a great job. BEWARE! Second car this year that out of this car wash ends up with thousands in damage. Their machine is not good for low clearance vehicles. Is always in the same left driving seat where it seats in the machine. Always the same excuse: " we are not responsible for damages to the vehicle". Not worth it! Updated: 10/06/2025 I called as requested, and the representative confirmed that the reply to my original Google review was automated, generated by a system, not a person. That admission alone speaks volumes about how disconnected this company has become from its customers. She explained that in order to initiate a claim, I would need to return during business hours so they could take photographs and begin an investigation to determine liability. However, she also acknowledged that vehicles with low clearance should not go through the wash, something not disclosed anywhere on-site or in writing. Instead, vehicles are simply moved ahead through the process, prioritizing revenue over safety and transparency. As a member of the San Diego community, I find this troubling, particularly from a company that markets itself so heavily as a community partner. The representative even admitted they were short-staffed and unable to keep up with complaints. That statement reflects a deeper operational issue, a failure of process discipline and customer experience management. This incident is not isolated. It is the second time this year that a vehicle of mine has sustained hundreds of dollars in damage at this car wash. The damage pattern is consistent, always near the driver’s side at the same point in the machine, yet the company’s default response remains, "We are not responsible for damages." From a business perspective, this illustrates what happens when a company expands rapidly through acquisitions without investing in process improvement, quality control, or human capital. The brand’s extensive marketing across San Diego’s sports venues cannot conceal the underlying reality: a lack of operational rigor, accountability, and customer care. As someone who values strong local businesses and responsible growth, it is disappointing to see a company prioritize scale over service. Soapy Joe’s is a cautionary example of how unchecked expansion and weak leadership can erode customer trust. Buyer beware.

Terrible cust. serv. at your car wash at Main st. c.v. On my normal weekly visit & after driving out I noticed grease on the driverside (not oil) I immediately return to car wash area & went across the access scanner &🚧 across pole.. At that time I made the terrible mistake to ask for Mg.on site a guy name "M" came out i asked to explain to me why the grease on side of my car? he didn't care or had an answer instead he removed my pass sticker & went to the machine & return to car & place sticker back.. I told him I didn't have a problem with the access but i did want it an explanation why I got grease all over driver side of car. At this point i figured his cust. service is zero & didn't care to assist me or even explain my concerns. I told him I got the Costco yearly pass & it was ok. Now the pass doesn't work apparently a different car shows up in the system. I definitely do suggest Do not buy that Costco pass Soapy Joe's change the rules on you when they want to., & If you need help or ask questions good luck. The issue was the wash not the pass. I'll contact Costco Corp. & inform them of this issue. I'm sure I'm not the only one.. I'm sure I'll get the buss. #area 855 generic txt. message etc.. that everyone eventually gets & no one answers.,you know the drill..

I had a really great experience at this Soapy Joes. Lance helped me out and was super friendly from the start. He explained the different wash options clearly and recommended what actually made sense for my car instead of just pushing the most expensive package. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing. He made the whole process quick and easy, and the car came out looking great. Customer service like that definitely stands out — I’ll be coming back again.
