a little over a year ago, i brought my car here to get A LOT of work done .. the bill was over 3k, which isn’t the issue .. the issue is that what “replaced” and “fixed” is all failing and has been for quite some time now . had 2 other mechanics look at the car & tell me that this car looks like it hasn’t been touched & that what was supposed to have been fixed should’ve lasted MUCH longer . (even funnier is that i was in foster care at the time & DSS paid for my car to be fixed .. they’re contacting the BBB) not only that , when we dropped off the car , we were told it would be a week or two .. we didn’t get the car back for over a month & then was told “someone was sabotaging the store and our car was hit in that crossfire” . like ok ? we recently took it back bcuz our car is making a noise , they said it was the breaks and the wheel bearings . turns out nothing is wrong with the wheels bearing but it does need new breaks .. why ?! they JUST got them replaced . now , our car is not a long distance driver we only keep it local .. one of the issues we had was the breaks (which they said were replaced) . our breaks are in TERRIBLE shape . i called yesterday & asked about warranty , longevity , and replacing . the man who answered said that they should last 3-4 years and that they’d be happy to look and fix them for me .. then i told him that i got them done there & they should be under warranty , based on what he said . his entire attitude changed & he was like “well if you’re putting a bunch of miles on the car and driving it all the time it’s obviously gonna wear down the breaks” but you said that our breaks should still be good ? hmm interesting . i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone . after reading these comments i see this is a pattern with them . y’all need to stop ripping people off & just close down .

Very good experience! Very nice & personable! I was updated on the work every step of the way. I was able to get my truck fixed & back to me in a reasonable amount of time considering what needed to be fixed. (Transmission) I recommend if you're in the Hagerstown area. 👍

I had tire issues this morning and was very anxious about being able to get on to my commute in time, and these gentlemen got my car all sorted in about twenty minutes! Not only that, but they were extraordinarily generous when it came to payment! They were very helpful, kind, and professional: highly recommend!

Took my girlfriends Honda Pilot here to have two leaking tires checked/plugged. Walked in the front door no place to stand for all of the parts deliveries stacked up in the 5x5 entryway. Waited for about 5 minutes there while who I'm assuming is the manager/owner whatever sits in the back playing catchup with someone. The mechanic Mark comes in on an unrelated matter asks me if I've been helped, I said not yet. He called the guy out of the office to help me. So he sidetracks Mark to plug my tires. The fast service from Mark is the reason for the two extra stars. So after Mark fixes me up. Very polite and hard working gentleman. He tells me what I owe if I've got cash. Well, no I didn't. So, I go inside tell the guy that is now manning the counter. Different guy than before. I tell him I had three plugs put in. The guy from before yells out from the office cash or credit. So I say debit card. Now get this. It would have been $30 cash $10 a piece.(pretty much what I was expecting ) Instead it was $15 each with the card. How in the world can you justify ripping people off like that is way beyond me. (I could almost be on board with a $5 charge overall when even $1 would be overcharging but to charge me $15 for a single transaction WOW I mean come on) I'm sure that you will though judging by how you've responded to all of the other negative comments not that there are a lot of them. Just so you know I think people hand out 5 stars way too much. Just for receiving what they are paying for. 5 stars should be for people that go above and beyond what's expected or just doing the minimum to get by. This is not a 5 star shop.

My sisters vehicle was towed here after my nephew got a flat tire while driving. They were expected to give an estimate on a tire, which ended up being two that got damaged, no problem. They did end up letting us know about the fender liner that was damaged and wires that ran next to it needing repaired. The initial estimate, and when i called, verified that they were charging 55$ PER TIRE just to mount and balance. Thats crazy high. They were not very clear in communication and the estimate they emailed my father was not even complete. The guy i talked to on the phone even stated himself that he had not yet gotten the prices for the electrical plugs, washer fluid pump, or reservoir. After seeing the prices I decided to have her car taken elsewhere. They ended up charging 118 DOLLARS for DIAGNOSTIC FEE. They did not test, disassemble, or diagnose any symptoms or issues but rather, gave an INCOMPLETE ESTIMATE on damages able to be seen visually. I understand if you want to cover your shop time with a rack fee or something to cover the technicians time but you need to communicate ANY fees you plan to charge to the customer and get PRIOR AUTHORIZATION for that. Over 100 dollar diagnostic fee is NEVER something that should be assumed when you have a car towed in for a dang tire replacement, plastic fender liner damage or not. Once they saw that and decided that the safest thing to do would be to put it on a rack and further evaluate it, the call shouldve been made to ask for diagnostic time and get authorization for the price. SHADY PRACTICES BY QUESTIONABLE PEOPLE,......AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I originally left a comment but after finding the owner blocks comments of customers who do not see eye to eye with their performance… I’d thought I’d review instead. The previous management is not the problem. Lack of since is probably closer. My fleet of 19 vans used to frequent here and I could guarantee that I’d get correct diagnosis and repairs that wouldn’t break the bank, as a not for profit that was my top concern as Children’s safety will always come first. True character is clearly being displayed on this page, judge that as you will.

I brought my jeep to these guys to get some things fixed to pass my emissions test and everyone was so helpful especially Nikki and they got things done so fast with a reasonable price. I will be bringing my jeep back to them in the future to get more repairs done!

This is an outstanding and exceptionally trustworthy shop. On a drive from Washington DC to Ohio with my family, our van lost brake pressure during a quick stop at the Hagerstown exit. This was the closest shop I could find to limp the van to. Within a few minutes, I’d described the problem to Alan and he had our van up on the lift and had an update for us shortly after that. Long story short, we had a repaired rear brake pad bracket, new pads, and new brake fluid a few hours later. Alan and his shop earned this review at this point. They didn’t just get the work done quickly so we could get back on the road, they charged us as fairly as I think is even possible. They knew we were passing through - they weren’t trying to earn a customer for life. They were just trying to do their job well and fairly, and we greatly appreciate that honesty and credibility. If you live near this shop, you should become the customer for life that I would be if I lived there. Thank you Alan and everyone else there that helped get us back on the road safely for our drive home.

We were 1.5 hours into an 8 hour road trip and experienced a loss of collant. Nothing I was going to be able to fix myself. We got off the highway and googled a car repair place near me. Roy’s came up and was well reviewed so I called them. The gentleman answering the phone was friendly and said they would take a look. Long story short, it was a significant repair that took about 3 hours and was done well. Everyone working there was very friendly and really cared. They got us back on the road and saved our trip!!! Outstanding establishment, if I lived in the area I would use them for everything!!!!!! Could not have been a better experience!!!!!!!! If I could rate them as a 10 out of 5 I would.

Came to get rear break pads and rotors on 3/31. About 4 weeks ago the breaks started to squeak. I assumed they were the front because we did not get those done. I made an appointment at another auto shop to get FRONT brakes done only to discover it's the back brakes! They were BAD I mean medal to medal as if they had never been changed in the first place. It is September 15th. So about $430 for brakes will only last about 6 months! When I called to speak with a mechanic for clarity I was told there could possibly be a caliber issue. They acknowledged that there HAD to be some underlying issue because new pads as rotors should not wear that fast. Nope! Had a full inspection, everything taken out to check if there was a blockage or locked caliber and nothing was wrong. No underlying issue so what kind of brakes last 6 months? I don't drive any far distances, just normal use. Of course was no warranty so I just have to pay for rear breaks twice within a 6 month time span. And the owner is never available to speak with anymore. My entire family has used Roy's in the past, nice people but the quality of service has definitely declined over the last couple years. Sad to say we will not be back.

i cannot thank this shop enough for helping me out today. after breaking down 3 hours into a 9 hour drive back to college, getting towed to and screwed over by the vw dealership (see my review on them for that story) i was stranded and panicking looking for someone to look at my car and get me back on the road. they saw me immediately, were super friendly and transparent, diagnosed and fixed my issue at a reasonable price, and had me back on the road in no time. i’m so glad i found them before settling for another shop who would have left me waiting stranded for days for a simple repair. thanks to them, i’m safely back at school now!

I broke down out of state and Roy's Quality Care was able to get me back on the road the same day, fixing my water pump. I was impressed by their customer service, their honesty, and their hard work.

This Business certainly treated me more than fair. As a motorist passing through Hagerstown I had a spark plug blow out. Was given a appointment for Friday and got in early due to a cancellation. They took care of my truck and it's not had a problem getting back to Kentucky, 500 miles. Price was fair, work was excellent and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. They are great.

I had an incredible experience with Greg, Nikki and the Team! They were able to squeeze my old (rusty) Hummer H2 in and got it on the road the next day. They all took the time to listen and understand what I wanted. They also took the time to help me understand what I needed. There are over a hundred car care facilities to choose from in the PA & MD area. Roy's Quality Car Care, Inc is the one you should go to. Greg, Nikki and the Team are amazing!

I had the best experience with Nikki, she kept me up to date with any additional work needed on my vehicle that I brought it right before traveling. The team worked great on our car as well! So we will be coming here for our car work in the future! Great job and happy holidays!

The car I took to them to "fix" almost got my mom and nephew killed. My moms car wouldnt start on Monday July 12th, after some effort i got it to turn over. I drove it to Roy's and had them check what the problem was. After finding out what they needed to fix jordan quoted me $2062. Ok. I knew it needed a tune up, so I asked him to do that while he did the other work. Turns out that tune up was an additional $1800. He didn't even consider giving me a courtesy call to let me know this huge extra expense for the extra parts. I didn't appreciate being that shocked when he told me the final cost. When I take my mom to go to pick up the car and pay the bill, another shop worker drove the car out front for us. After she buckled my nephew in his car seat she get in to drive off. She get about 600 feet from the building and knows something is not right with the way it is driving. She does a u turn and bring it right back. She had to stop the guys in their car because they were about to leave for the day. She explains the front end is wobbling. So Jordan gets in the car to drive it, and that's when my mom and I notice the front right tire is almost about to fall off. They didn't tighten any of the lug nuts! One of them had fallen off on the road before she had turned around. Now if she would have gotten down the road a ways that whole wheel would have came off, most likely causing a wreck, and could have gotten her and my nephew in that car killed or seriously injured, not to mention any bystanders caught in the cross hairs. I know lug nuts don't just completely loosen that much in such a tiny distance. He then tries to tell me that he personally drove it and didn't notice any problems. Which felt like a slap to the face because he just straight lied to me. An experienced mechanic drove that car and couldn't tell how bad the whole front end wobbled. I don't buy that. After he had to replace 2 of the lug nuts, and tighten not just all of them on that wheel, but also on the left side too, he told me it sometimes just happens that they come loose. No, not that loose where they fall off. So not only did he lie straight to me, he then tried making excuses for his unsatisfactory, life threatening neglect of the work he did. Or didnt do I should say. I am currently trying to get in contact with "Roy" the owner. Apparently Jordan, who works there, and also the other mechanic have no idea how to reach the owner. And there is no manager they report to because he quit. If anyone actually read this whole review and can give me advice on how to contact to owner of this garage I would be grateful.

I had a good experience with getting my jeep repaired. This was the third auto repair place i went to and this guy figured out the problem with my engine light coming on. So grateful that I found this place.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Triple A towed my car to this shop after breaking down on the way home from a funeral. I had to pay 500$ for a battery replacement, which I later found out is highway robbery. My car broke down AGAIN because it was not the battery, it was my alternator. My car wasn't diagnosed properly, so I broke down again while traveling alone with my 7 year old and 6 month old baby. 0 stars if I could. You all should be ashamed.

Brought my car there for the front end alignment they advised me that I didn’t need a front alignment that my brakes on my friend were no good that had been replaced. They also were able to get my tire sensor off. also took care of everything, Nikki at the front desk was very pleasant. I recommend that if you need work, I would go there.

Took my husbands 2002 Dodge Ram truck (first love) to get the engine replaced. They did an excellent job. He say's it's purring like a kitten again! The price was reasonable and everyone was super friendly and informative. We will definitely use their services again if needed. Thank you
