This used to be a great car wash. They have stopped prepping cars before entering, removed drying brushes, cars still come out dirty and haven’t lowered prices. I’ve went through twice and still the vehicle isn’t clean. If I wanted to scrub my own car, I can wash it at our shop. I’m cancelling all of our vehicles.

I cannot say enough about rainstorm! Not only can you pay 20.00 a mont and wash you car everyday, but they have the big cleaning station, supply widow cleaner, bug solution, multipurpose cleaner and the rags you need to have clean care inside and out! And the vacuuming is free! No more 10 dollar crappy car washes and 10 dollar vacuuming for me!

Usually a good wash. Definitely recommend taking advantage of the fast pass, however, DONT USE the wash on main street. I always have soap residue left on my car. The one by the airport is the best, they even have floor mat cleaners there

Save your money. Every other time I come here, there are cones blocking the car wash because it’s “temporarily closed.” I guess you could call ahead every time, but for a car wash that is open for so many hours, it’s ridiculous how often it’s closed and unavailable for use. Definitely not unlimited because it’s VERY limited when you can even get service.

Everytime I get my car washed here it looks the same as it did when I arrived--on the outside. While the wash might not be worth anything, the access to high powered vacuums, garbage cans, rags, and spray to make the inside of my car look nice helps me to make the inside spotless. I own a golden retriever with a black fabric interior, and the vacuums get all the hair and dust she brings into the car.

I have been a customer of this location for 6-7 months as a fast pass member. In January I purchased a new vehicle and learned the membership isn’t transferable and I would need to discontinue the plan on my old vehicle and start a new plan for the new one. I logged on to the business website to discontinue the plan on my old car — the site moved very slowly but I followed the process. In February, my old plan auto renewed again. I called the location and explained my situation. I wasn’t sure at the time if i had made a mistake as the website seemed to move slowly when I discontinued — so I did not request a refund - I only asked for help in cancelling my plan moving forward. The individual on the phone said it was not a problem, he would cancel it and it would no longer auto renew. In March the plan auto billed yet again. I called the location again and explained what had happened — I asked for help in cancelling this properly and with processing a refund for the $40 charge that occurred after I had called the location and was told my plan was cancelled. This time he informed me he could cancel my plan again but a refund wouldn’t be likely because as he said “that’s just the way it is”. I asked for a manager, but one was not available. I was told he would leave a message and a manager would call back the following Monday. For the last two weeks I have called the location multiple times and no one has answered the phone — there is also not an option to leave a message. (Prior to this every time I have called, I have always reached someone to answer). I have also used the “contact us” form on the website twice to request a member of management contact me regarding this situation as I have now been auto charged $80 for a plan that has not been used. I have yet to receive a call back or email from the business.

Took my BRAND NEW CAR to this car wash and when we got out we noticed a huge scratch down the passenger side! We know for a fact that there were not any scratches on the car as we had looked the car over beforehand. I'm super upset and will never come back to this car wash. Beware! Your car might end up with scratches, and not "fine scratches". I even paid for their highest tier of car wash 😭

I’ve been a member of Rainstorm auto-washes for years. Overall they’re great with the Empire location as the best in town for the quality of wash and available amenities; vacuums, floor mat cleaner, plus cleaning solutions with towels. I recently had a great experience working with Amy to take advantage of their multi-vehicle account special. Excellent facilities and customer service!!

I am actually rather impressed with this place. It's immaculate. I have a bunch of kids and the card need vacuumed regularly so I just get the $5.00 wash and unlimited vacuum. The basic wash is actually pretty decent. They keep the trash cans emptied and even have window cleaner and rags for you to use. They're really nice. I would recommend to anyone needing a carwash in the area. Thanks guys!!

Most other car washes will have someone to pressure wash the front of your vehicle to wash off and bugs or stains, not so here. Most of the bugs I came to get washed off were still on the front of my vehicle, so I'm not convinced it was worth the price I paid. The rest of my vehicle looked great though, and the vacuums and detailing towels were nice and convenient.

I've been a member for 7 years and this is the worst it's ever been at all of their locations in Bloomington-Normal. You cannot do a complete car wash at any location anymore. Either this one that's had its washing machine broken for 6 weeks so they have no towels and the vacuums are never running are multiple locations that are just filthy and nasty or no vacuums or you can't find A working vacuum it's just pathetic and I will be canceling my subscription after this month and dealing with one of the places that don't have an issue with this stuff

This location used to be the best one to go to, but now their vacuums don’t work or there are days they just aren’t turned on, and now at 7:45am they are closed when I googled hours and all rainstorm locations show open at this time. No sign or explanation as to why it’s closed… Update 2/11/2025: same story different day. Went to the car wash this morning and the vacuums aren’t turned on again. No sign saying they’re broken or if they’re just not turned on for some reason. I don’t just pay for car washes, it includes the use of the vacuums. It’s like 50/50 whether they’re working or not. I’m considering going to the newer car washes in town. Saw a sign for the on on veterans for $10/m. I bet their vacuums work more often than not.

I’ve been getting a car wash at a different entity once a week all winter. Rainstorm on Empire has been the worst experience & worst result of my car washes this winter. The attendant inside the facility was extremely aggressive, impatient, and verbally dismissive upon entering my vehicle onto his track. I must’ve not put it into nuetral in time and it quite clearly agitated him to the degree of me leaving this review. So if you’d like to feel accosted after spending $22 on an automatic car ash then by all means. Additionally after the wash there is still a heavy salt residue on the vehicle, so kind of a money wasted scenario.

Have been a customer since inception of the east empire branch. Always there will be some of the other issue but just it's near to my home and will be easy for drive-in and out for wife,, have been continuing there. Last before week, while I drive through the wash, my Range Rover behind bumper popped out. Reported to the in charge guy, went through the complaint process with pictures. The incharge guy mentioned the management will get back on this. After multiple follow ups calling into the office & via emails, Amy - the manager informed via mail to come in. Again there were multiple follows for the day & time, eventually Amy mentioned that her assistant manager will look into the car to decide the final call how Rainstorm management will handle the damage. After I came into the premises, the assistant manager is none other the incharge guy who helped with complaint process He mentioned that they can take care of the damage as it happened at the blower section which doesn't cover as per Rainstorm policy. When I asked, how would the bus.per pop's out due to blower which didn't happen these many years nor when I drive on highways, he has no answer. I tried to explain that the culprit is washer and requested him to show video but he was reluctant.

I decided to give this a try since other car washes in the area were busy. I got the $12 wash package and was disappointed in the quality. The wash got my vehicle fairly clean, but the rinse and dry were poor. There was no pre-wash, they don't offer free towels, and don't have a way to wash floor mats. There are much better nearby options for the money.

WOW!! I'm from Decatur. This Bloomington location is much better for vacuuming your car!!! The hose nossles are awesome, more powerful like Billingsley gas in Decatur and MUCH easier to park and get out!!! I also felt like I got a better wash 🤷♀️ Attendant super friendly!!!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the TurboWash membership I recently acquired. Despite my expectation of a satisfactory car wash, the service has consistently fallen short of the standard. Following multiple washes, my vehicle has not been adequately cleaned. Furthermore, I was advised by staff to pre-scrub the car prior to service. Upon requesting a refund and membership cancellation, the manager's response was unhelpful and unprofessional, failing to provide a resolution and abruptly ending the conversation. This experience is both disappointing and unjust, given that I am paying for a service that is not being delivered. I request the immediate cancellation of my membership and a refund for the current month. Should this matter remain unresolved, I will be compelled to escalate the issue to corporate headquarters and my financial institution.
